Boil Seafood House
The food was awesome
We enjoyed ourselves for our first time visiting this place.
The char grilled orysters were yummy, the shimp was tastey but too much peeling work for me and my hubby
It was a great experience! From the food, to the service, it was amazing. :)
FRIENDLY HOSTESS, AND WAITER WAS VERY NICE AND KEPT COMING BACK TO MAKE SURE WE HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. REQUESTED A BOOTH TABLE AND THEY SAVED ONE FOR US EVEN THOUGH THEY ONLY HAD 4 TOTAL IN THE PLACE. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING AND REASONABLY PRICED.
Dungeness crab was great w the garlic butter and our service was excellent! Definitely make an online reservation lile we did, as we saw many people's dissappointed looks because there was a wait.
the seafood was great! can’t wait to visit this place again.
We arrived and put our name on the list, we waited for 45 minutes before returning to the host's stand, at which point we were informed that a server walked out and that we would no longer be seated unless we had a reservation. This information was not provided until we asked for an updated wait time. When we asked why this information was not shared sooner, we were not given an answer.
We made a reservation and arrived to the restaurant the following night because we had heard such good reviews. We ordered "The House" which consisted of 1 lb of crawfish, 1 lb of shrimp, and 1 lb of snow crab legs with "Boil House" seasoning, a combination of Caribbean, Cajun, and garlic butter flavors, at high heat. When asked for a pair of "crab crackers," the waitress returned with only a mallet, and stated that they didn't have any more of the other tool. When it arrived at our table, the food was over-cooked, and did not taste fresh at all. On top of that, the food lacked flavor, which appeared to be due to it being boiled and then being placed over the sauce afterwards. This was not the authentic New Orleans seafood boil that we hoped for during our visit.
Great local boil place. Very small. Excellent food and service.
Idk where to even start. I called initially to try and make some special arrangements for my birthday, but I was told there was “no manager or assistant manager on duty”. There were no gloves or bibs. After I asked the hostess said they “ran out”. Our server had just started that day, but besides that it’s annoying because the servers type your order into, essentially a phone. So if you say it and it doesn’t go in that phone more than likely, it won’t come to you. We ordered a pound of snow crab legs each, two orders of garlic butter noodles, a side of rice, and corn and potatoes. Only three out of four crab legs came out, and were cold. We had to sit around and wait for another 10 minutes while they brought out the last person’s plate. We then were told that there will be nothing done for the inconvenience. The last play of crab legs they came out were cold as well! When I asked the server what happened to our garlic noodles, he acted like he didn’t even know what I was talking about. So I re-ordered the noodles and tried to keep calm. Another ten minutes go past and I remind the young man (Pierre was his name) of the Noodles. once again, he looks unaware of me ordering the noodles. Please keep in mind these garlic noodles are on the SIDE DISH menu. So why are they taking so long? I finally said it’s ok I didn’t want the noodles anymore (at this point we were done eating). Pierre rushes into the kitchen and comes out with two plates of garlic noodles and tries to put them on the table. I said no thank you we said we don’t want them anymore. The server, Pierre, then tells me “YOURE GOING TO HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM EITHER WAY, YOU MIGHT AS WELL BOX THEM UP”
I’m sure y’all can imagine I wanted to lose it on that server. Another server overheard and apologized for it being his first day and said of course they’ll take the noodles off. There was nothing to do but get a business card and contact the manager or corporate later. In the end, I’ll never eat there again.
I would totally recommend Boil house to family and friends it was a great experience the food was great our waiter Ben did a great job he was very kind he made the experience great it was my sisters birthday she wanted king crabs she was throughly please everybody had a great time
The service was amazing and the people were so nice and helpful . I love seafood and I can honestly say that this Ky new favorite spot the oysters are AMAZING! For most it might be pricey but trust me you won’t regret it and the deliciousness of the food makes up for the price TRUST ME
Our server was great! Food came out quick and was awesome!
Wanted boiled seafood while in New Orleans and this was a cool little spot. All the staff was friendly and we actually stayed a while and chatted with them..... literally had to pull my husband away from the bar he was having so much fun. If you like boiled seafood that is cooked then tossed in spices/sauce this is the perfect place. The only thing that was not amazing was one batch of shrimp was slightly over cooked but still edible. The crawfish, snow crab, and blue crab we got was all great. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean as well.
The best seafood I have had in a long time! The boil seasonings we’re rich and full of flavor! Anyone who likes seafood will love this place! Will be going back next time I’m in Nola!
The host had a horrible horrible horrible attitude. Our waiter barely checked on our table. And my card was over charge 20 dollars, when I called to let them, they did nothing to try help me get it back, i will never come eat at this location ever again. Disappointed.
BOIL Seafood House exceeded all of my expectations. The shrimp and crawfish were cooked to perfection. The service was fantastic, and the murals on the wall were breathtaking. This is now definitely a must-go every time I visit New Orleans.
Waited for a while even with a reservation. We were told that they ran out of blue crab (which was the reason we went) then we proceeded to order a few substitutes and everything we were asking about we were told it was either not good or it was bland and we would have to add our own spices since we were from New Orleans. I ended up getting char boiled oysters and the flavor was surprisingly good, except they over cooked them and they were so small they stuck to the shell. I wouldn’t go back too many disappointments.
Amazing!!!!!!!! Loved this place. A little expensive but definitely worth it
This place was awesome food was on point and fast me and my boyfriend got so full the prices are not that bad
seafood was AMAZING.! the restaurant is small, however its definitely worth the experience. I will be going back again.
I was in town for my bday trip to N.O. & wanted some seafood soooooo bad. I went to Landry’s seafood the day before & while their prices were great, the food was NOT!!! After asking some locals I was recommended to The Boil Seafood House & was warned about the wait list/reservations.. The food was soooo good my party and I are STILL 5 days later talking about the seafood!!!! We live in Houston Tx & everyone here thinks they can make the best seafood boil & never have it tasted as good as you all’s were. I’m already making plans to return mid October and will be paying you all another visit for sure. If the prices were a tad bit cheaper that would make this place even HARDER to get into due to the line waiting to get in. Coming from Houston, our Snow Crabs are 12.99-14.99 as were you all’s are $29 : / . Food was great overall. Also the Strawberry Mint Lemonade drink was BOMB ! Bartender is perfect my drink wasnt watered down nor was it too strong. I could taste my $$ worth.
I’ll start by saying my wife and I had a great time at this establishment. The staff and service were beyond excellent and the food was great. The downside was having reservations and still having to wait 30 mins to be seated. I guess that’s what’s to be expected for great food. It got a bit loud at times to where we couldn’t hear each other talk but it was a great experience and the atmosphere was positive. We will definitely be back and will also recommend this place to family and friends.
The restaurant was great! The atmosphere was very laid back and fun! I had the Bang Bang shrimp and Snow crab legs in garlic butter. The food was excellent and our server was fantastic. I will definitely go back when I visit New Orleans again.
We are there twice in three days!!! The boil sauces were amazing!!! We had the boil house and cajun. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves fresh seafood.
It was 10 of us for my husband birthday. We enjoyed every minute of it. The food was excellent. I will come back again if I’m New Orleans again.
Had a great family dinner here. We ordered raw oysters, crawfish and king crab legs. Oh and broiled lobster! Food was not over cooked which was great! Server Damon waited on our party of 9 hand and foot! He was wonderful! Would have given it 5 stars but the crawfish were a lil on the tiny side and the heat on the crawfish was mild to be instead of moderate spice. Had a great time and would go back when I’m visiting my mom in New Orleans.
We are from Chicago, we came to NOLA as a group Birthday trip. The Birthday girl requested a boil, we came across Boil House and OMG were we beyond pleased! It was a small quaint place and I am glad we ate there on a Wednesday... I can't even imagine what the weekend, even a Thursday, looks like. The waitress was amazing and the boil...!!!.. PHENOMENAL!!!! The most incredible food/boil I have tasted in my 36 yrs! I'm sad we didn't go there again before we left!!
Loved the place and the food. Its small so get a reservation. If you’re a local and enjoy your seafood with that “make your nose run” spicy then get the hottest spice.
Great seafood! Intimate space. My mom and I loved it! Definitely be ready to get your hands dirty.
Amazing food. Great service. Waitstaff and bar.
Food was amazing. Our server Justin was awesome. When in town again I’m def visiting
$55 crab legs had a piece of hair on it. Waiter never brought the manager out to even apologize. When they brought my food out a second time they made it super hot and I ask for low so I did not even enjoy the food. need to work on customer service and at least accommodate or bring out the manager when something is wrong ESPECIALLY when it comes to HAIR IN THE FOOD
Best boiled seafood I’ve ever had and I’ve lived in New Orleans 37 years.
Our waiter was amazing and funny, she made our time at the restaurant even better! Food was amazing and well affordable!
Loved that they still have crawfish this time of the year!!!! Already a plus for me!❤️ Would live to cone back again!
Great location, good food, awesome service. Justin was a delight.
A little pricey, food was pretty good. The waiter was knowledgeable about the food and menu.
Everything with the meal and the experience was great... Until the end when we asked to split the check. The server literally lost her mind. She couldn't comprehend how to split a meal between two people. The handheld payment device was acting up and that's pretty much when she lost it. I've never seen someone get so confused and angry so fast. There were several kids around and she was cussing like a sailor. That's just not how someone should react to a common request.
I would recommend this place because the food was incredible. The service however, could have been better. The place had like 20 tables in the area we were in and it filled up pretty quickly. I went without a drink for nearly 15 minutes. I was a server for 10 years and that's just something that shouldn't happen.
