   This is one of our favorite restaurants - and a must try if you love great food! The cocktail list is interesting, the wine list is great and every dish we have ever tried has exceeded our expectations. Service is attentive and friendly.    First time here. My wife and I were going to dine outside but it was too windy so we ate inside; the restaurant had a nice ambiance. It was relatively busy for a Tuesday evening. The food was good and the service excellent. Prices are reasonable. The menu is not extensive but it’s certainly better to do a somewhat limited menu well than a large menu poorly. I would recommend Bombay.

   Incredible dinner at the Bombay Club! Phenomenal all around. Highly recommend getting the crispy kale for a starter and one of the Classic Thalis if you have a hard time picking just one entree. We will be going back next time we’re in DC!

    I ordered the CHICKEN MAKHANI. The chicken in the dish was tough, heavy taste of charcoal as it was chicken that was not used in another dish and slathered what sauce and served to me. Also, the dining room manager or main host interrupted our dinner twice by asking if every was ok - his manner was not so much of concern for our enjoyment of the evening's meal but smacked of trying to get us to vacate the table as soon as possible - to the point where our guest felt uncomfortable and choose to leave the restaurant before we could order coffee or dessert. I'll try the BC one more time - perhaps it was an "off" night. In the past the food was glorious. The service continues to be very good.

    Returned with friends for the first time since the pandemic. Very disappointing. Piano player was nice touch and the general ambience was as remembered, albeit in need of some refreshment. Service was not good -- waiters seemed to stand around arguing with each other most of the evening. The bus people saved the day -- very nice and attentive but could not help us with anything but simple requests. Hosts were cheerful and welcoming. Food was very disappointing -- specials of the night (centered around mangos) were overly sweet and fish was overcooked. Thalis (multiple dishes on a single tray) were better -- closer to our memories and sauces were more authentic. Women's bathroom was a disaster -- water everywhere on floor and nothing changed (no clean up) nearly an hour later. On balance not up to the company's high standards.

    The Bombay Club is a fantastic Indian restaurant that has been in operation for 30 years, conveniently located near the White House. Our recent visit to the restaurant was an enchanting evening filled with delicious Indian cuisine and a great ambiance that was enhanced by the live piano music playing in the background. The reservation system was transparent and allowed for a clear separation between the inside and outside seating areas. This separation was necessary as the live piano music was only present inside. We opted for inside seating and were not disappointed by the wonderful ambiance. The food at The Bombay Club was exceptional and offered great value. We highly recommend trying the Thali's which consist of multiple Indian curries, rice, and nan bread, all for under $30. My wife opted for the Samundari Thali, which included a Tandoori Salmon appetizer and shrimp and fish curries with spinach and yogurt. I ordered the Tandoori Salmon separately, as well as the Halibut Mappas with Multigrain Roots. The Tandoori Salmon was the standout dish, closely followed by the Halibut. The Multigrain roti was also a highlight, as it was healthy and had no traces of oil or ghee. Overall, our experience at The Bombay Club was fantastic, and we ended our meal with a cup of tea. We highly recommend this restaurant for dinner and would certainly visit again.

    Some of dishes are hard to find at other indian restaurants. the fish dishes are outstanding. The breads are just OK - I have had better. it has gotten pricey, but the quality of food is generally excellent.

    I’ve been going to Bombay Club for years and it never disappoints. Consistently great food & service in a beautiful, elegant dining room. Highly recommend it. For a special treat try Cobra Coffee after your meal. It’s not always available depending on how bury they are but what a special and unique treat.

    The Bombay Club is a distinctive Indian restaurant with a classy feel. The only thing that perhaps would make the experience better would be to play traditional Indian music (Raga) instead of Western tunes.

    The food was very delicious but I would have expected larger portions for the price. My Bombay Thali ($26) came with only one lachha paratha. Overall it was a delicious meal. Definitely recommend the gin & tonic.

    The server never asked us for the spice level of the food and hence food was a lot more spicy then what we wanted. The service was slow as well - 15 mins for the waiter to take our credit card for the charge and come back.

    This is the most excellent Indian restaurant in the DC area, notwithstanding its cousin Rasika. The food is well prepared and served by attentive and congenial staff. No bad dishes to be found after 15 years of coming here. A bit pricey but definitively worth the trip.

    Always excellent in every way. The ambience is pleasant and refined but still cheerful, the food is wonderful, flavorful, perfectly seasoned. The fish was a tad over cooked, but dryness was easily ameliorated but flavorful sauce. Portions are appropriate.

    Very slow and erratic service. Our waiter was doing his very best was serving too many tables. The Patrani Machhi was superb but we were shocked to see not a single lamb kebab offering in the list of appetizers. We ordered different kinds of thalis. The lamb curry in my thali was simply awful. The fish curry was good. The rest was highly predictable It is sad to see this once fine restaurant slipping over the years.

    The Bombay Club is a stylish and elegant restaurant with outstanding, creative and delicious Indian cuisine. The professional staff including Nadeem, Heather and Isia helped to make our evening very special.
