    Went here with husband to jointly celebrate our birthdays and we were wowed! We opted for the tasting menu and we were extremely impressed with the taste and presentation. Serving size was perfect too. Service was friendly and efficient - Juliette, our host that night was very helpful and very engaging. It was the perfect way to celebrate. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely come back when we’re in Montreal again.

    Absolutely fantastic French cooking in a lovely quiet room with first-rate service. We even had snow falling outside the window. I can’t guarantee the snow, but you will love your dinner.

    Excellent food and service. Onion soup and lamb shank for me - both perfect. My wife had the “catch of the day” - walleye- a bit bland but much better after addition of salt, pepper and lemon. Key lime pie was just average. Enjoyable experience. Lovely ambience.

    We couldn’t decide which appetizer to have and so we chose to have two appetizers instead of a main course. The pasta was wonderful as were the foie and scallop and shrimp dishes. We had a little room left for dessert and ordered a Grand Marnier soufflé which was superb. The staff were pleasant, knowledgeable and professional.

    We are used to come to this restaurant and we like it. The food is very good and the price is appropriated, the stuff is very professional and pay attention to every little detail. A super ambiance and a great place to celebrate what ever is coming up. We like it.

    Classic French cuisine and a wonderful ambiance. Attentive and flawless service. Only downside was that several tables were rather loud the night we went - but that’s hardly the fault of the restaurant.

    Superb dinner visiting Montreal. The cocktails, wine by the glass selections, and food were all first rate, as was the warm hospitality and service. Finished the meal off with a soufflé that was lighter than air and worth the wait to prepare.

    We enjoyed our time at Bonaparte. Food is good not great (I prefer more seasoning; however, the veal and rack of lamb were cooked to perfection. Cheesecake very delicious. Service was excellent! Wait staff friendly and attentive. Overall, I recommend if visiting Old Montréal.

    The service was excellent, but it was a little loud for our liking considering our reservation was at 8:30 P. M. on a Wednesday. The food was delicious, although the sides that accompanied the mains were light (less vegetables than anticipated). We ordered the salad, foie gras crème brûlée (both very good), chicken breast with brie and port wine sauce, and the lamb navarin (amazing!). For dessert, we ordered the chocolate mousse (good) and the lime meringue pie. The pastry for the lime pie wasn't the greatest, but the lime curd and meringue were very good.

    I went with a friend to celebrate my friend’s achievement. I had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, and so was the service. I loved the ambience, and in particular, the temperature of the broccoli soup, and the freshly brewed coffee.

    We have been coming to Bonaparte almost every time we visit Montreal. This was probably our fifth time and it was as wonderful as any of the other ones. The food is great, service friendly and impeccable, the setting outstanding. We really enjoyed last night. There aren’t many restaurants like Bonaparte in Canada and many other countries we visited.
