    My wife and I have been to B&B on numerous occasions and have enjoyed it every time, with the exception of our last visit. I discovered the online reservation system, appreciated it and plan on using it in the future. Of course you can't beat the ambience and the service has always been very good. Typically the food has been very good. Wouldn't you know that this time, we were introducing friends to this restaurant and one of our party ordered the margarita pizza..mistake, it did not look good, it was soggy, and apparently didn't taste all that great..my recommendation, take it off the menu, as all the other dishes were good. We will still continue to go and introduce friends, hoping this was just a one off.

    Location, location, location! Victoria West on the harbour. The surrounding views in the harbour are wonderful. Easy to find street parking, steps from the harbour pathway system, a great place to walk before or after your meal. Interesting menu options for brunch, lunch or dinner, using fresh local ingredients, an array of herbs and spices that complement the food. Interior restaurant space is well laid out, a combination of booths and tables well located to enjoy the harbour setting. The staff are warm and friendly, offering great service. For a special meal with family or friends, this is a great place to take them.

    We were there for happy hour and I ordered the Wagyu burger. It was paper thin like schnitzel. I chose not to return it as everyone else’s seemed fine but it was the worst food I’ve had at Boom. Usually it’s very good

    Booked two weeks in advance. We were given an hour and fifteen minutes to dine before the next reservation. Our waitress, Monika, was curt and standoffish which, frankly, ruined the whole dinner. When our food arrived, we had less than twenty minutes left of our allotted time remaining. Ate quickly and ordered dessert. After dessert was served, we were told that the next reservation was here so we would need to carry our plates over to the bar to finish our meals. Food was fine but service was profoundly disappointing. As well, we ordered three items off the Happy Hour menu and realized when we arrived home that we only received the Happy Hour price on one of them.

    For the first time I was disappointed with the food. Two of us had the kale salad and both of us were more than disappointed. It had no taste-- wilted and wet. Mine was combined with the shrimp as my main dish so quite unsatisfying. The gnocchi that our friend had was delicious as always. Service was great. Our server was very attentive.

    Main items were good but my wife’s dessert described as an apple tart was definitely not a tart and it was cold and inedible. It shouldn’t be on the menu. I will still recommend the restaurant but tell my friends to be wary of desserts.

    I was really excited to take my out-of-town visitors to this place, as I had heard lots of good things…. We were highly underwhelmed. None of food was hot when it got to our table. (There’s way better pizzas in Victoria for sure) and the restaurant was insanely loud. They had doors open at both ends and float planes going past every 10-15 minutes. The view of the harbour was blocked by some rich persons, gigantic yacht. Understandable but unfortunate. On a positive note, the server was lovely. She was pleasant, attentive, and conversant. Definitely won’t be going back though.

    With a reservation, we stood in line for 10 minutes in the cold doorway, waiting while the group ahead of us, without a reservation, was waiting to be seated. When we finally got to the desk at the front, the two hostesses seemed to be having a lot of troubles, at first couldn't see our reservation, but then did and we were finall seated in a pretty mediocre place - considering we had a reservation, I would have though a window seat would have been in order. Our server was terrific and really tried her best. The food was mediocre. The fish chowder was good but the pizzas were apparently made on some kind of ready-made crust which was not good, fresh or special in any way. It's a beautiful venue but the boring food, limited menu, chaotic service at the front all took away from what should have been a high-end experience.

    Great spot on the water, lovely on sunny day. Happy Hour is very good value with food and drink specials. Service was excellent - good idea to reserve, easy on line.

    Not very good service. About a group of five waiters/bartenders stood together chatting with each other and rarely looked up. We had to flag them down a few times. The pizza was good but the oysters didn't taste fresh and the pork belly was flavorless, even with all that sauce.
