   We ordered iberico bellota ham and they served us a almost only fat, not ham, few slices. I complained about that is not what a plate (probably not more of 50 grams in this case) of iberian bellota has to be if you have it on the menu. They say is "the way we do" looking at us and trate us as we are the more stupid clienst on earth. I returned the plate and they came back with a plate of Jamon Serrano, not iberico bellota at all, super salty that we left on the plate after tested it . They charged the full price as iberico bellota, a total fraud. Yes I am spaniard and yes I know about food (have two companies in the field and have eaten a few hundres of kg of iberico) and yes I eat in restaurants of all kinds every other day, from top michelin rated to super modest taverns around the planet. Not used to leave comments bu you guys worked hard today and really deserved my time writing this review.

   We had a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch. The food was delicious, the sangria was great, and the server was terrific. Can’t wait to go back.

   Boqueria had a wide range of small plates and everything we tried was tasty. Service was prompt and cheerful and the food arrived quickly and it was nice and hot. The restaurant is popular with younger folks so it was a bit noisy but it was still possible to carry on a conversation. We would definitely go there again.

   We love tapas restaurants and will definitely return here when in Washington. We sat outside and people-watched as we ate. The service was great. Our waitress was Mattie. We especially enjoyed the garlic shrimp, grilled asparagus and the mushroom croquettes. The octopus was good, but should have been crisper.

   Delicious tapas! Come in for drinks and small plates. This is not the place if you are expecting a full meal. More of a place to mingle, drink, and have a nice bite to eat.

    We had a great time at Bouqueria. Got there around 5 pm. Excellent service from a very friendly server. We got 6 dishes, perfect for two. We had the tabla de quesos, which was excellent; the paella de Marisco, which was great and big; the mushroom croquettes, the patatas bravas… all great. The manchego was exceptionally good. Our server was friendly and helpful. We’ll be visiting again!

    Pre concert meal- the cocktail drinks were half full. The Shrimp was off not good in the shrimp tapas. All of our food was subpar.

    Love Boqueria - first experience was in Flat Iron in New York. Reminded me of being on Barcelona. The food is always fantastic. Love this location. Only thing I would say was that it was really LOUD!

    My friend and I stopped in for Restaurant Week. The food was great. We were served by Judah at the bar and received some of the best and friendliest service I’ve ever had in DC (and I’ve listed here for 10yrs now). We’re already planning to go back

    The service was horrendous and it is extremely pricey. I ordered two glasses of wine and a small paella to share with my partner as it says it is for 1-2 people but it was 5inches in diameter and spent 70$. Probably will never go back. Just ridiculous proportion/pricing ratio.

    Three of us shared the chef's choice. Truly delicious, the dishes arrived at the table just as they were needed. Loved the shared charcuterie with jambon and cheeses. Waiter was also very attentive to my nut allergy. Shout out to the bartender who had some really funny one liners while meeting everyone's needs promptly.

    The food is decent, but not all that flavorful for being Spanish tapas. The only flavorful item we ordered was the Pan con Tomate, but everything else lacked much flavor. We would give this place another try when we are in the area, but it's certainly not a restaurant we would go out of our way for. The service was really good though!

    Had a really nice and quiet dinner. The service was top notch and accommodating for answering questions about food allergies. I wound up having the bacon wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese and almonds, some olives, and the delicata squash with chorizo, cheese, honey and hazelnuts. The squash combination was extremely tasty. I went on a Sunday when there was a basketball game next door, so it was pretty empty by the time I got there at 7:30. Next time in town I'll check out the bottomless brunch.

    The restaurant has gone down in quality over the years, by quite a bit! We used to go every other month when it first opened, but after 2.5+ years absence (due to the pandemic), our last visit a week ago left us totally dissapointed. The food and drinks are extremely overpriced, and neither the food nor the drinks impressed us in any way, and then there is the fact that the plates (yes, I know, they are tapas) are extremely small portions ($3 to $4 per bite), and the drinks are little better that pre-mix from the supermarket. The service was bare minimum, and it felt mundane, unethusiastic (and keep in mind, the restaurant was 1/2 empty). Every single tapas plate was left on the table until we had signed the check. We had to ask for bread and oil 4 times from 2 different servers, and ultimately, were brought a small chunck of stale, cold, probably old bread, and a tiny little container with some bland olive oil. The vibe is no longer "Spanish Restaurant", if it ever was (but at least years ago it was new, and elegant; but that is no longer the case). The kitchen and the people working in the kitchen seemed like the area and workers at a fast food restaurant. Overall, for us it is time to look for a different go-to Spanish restaurant in D.C.
