The American steakhouse is an iconic restaurant institution. We’d wanted to tell that story for years, but waited until we had the skill, talent and ability to execute it properly, and the right space to be our canvas, an important corner in Little Italy, a neighborhood where we have deep roots. We brought an almost academic appreciation for steakhouse history and tradition to Born & Raised, while trying to stay relevant and authentic to ourselves and our city. Our dry-aged beef pays tribute to earlier, earthier, pre-government grading practices and is the centerpiece of a meal best savored at a slow pace. From the OpenTable editors: The scene is just as sizzling as the steaks at this Little Italy stunner. Born & Raised turns the old-school steakhouse genre on its head, displaying photos of rap legends in the all-gold, super-glam dining room. There are steakhouse faithfuls, plus carts that prep vintage cocktails tableside. The result is an OTT steakhouse fit for the highest of high rollers.

                                                                          With regard to my actual dinner service and food… Everything was great. Unfortunately, my night started out being stuck in traffic on the 5 and when I called the restaurant to inform them that I may be slightly late (called 30 minutes before my reservation), I was told they would only honor a 15 minute grace period. Even after I told them I would only be arriving five minutes after the 15 minute grace they stated that they still could not guarantee that I would get a table…. It wasn’t until after I called them out on the rudeness of the way in which I was informed of this that they made alternative recommendations. In my opinion, that should’ve been the first thing that was mentioned rather than “there’s nothing we can do”. I expect a lot more from a restaurant of this “caliber” with regard to customer service. Not sure I’ll be back.

                                                                          Really great atmosphere and service. Price point is high for the food quality. Good food, just not 5 star. Nothing negative to say. We had filet and classic ribeye. Ill give it another try and go for the dry aged selection to see if I missed out.

                                                                          Upon arrival, the service was snooty. The happy hour was still going, but for some reason, we couldn't attend the happy hour, but could sit at the bar. The waiter was irritated that we ordered drinks and asked that we be seated by the Mater D sent us up previously the staff just seemed above Themselves, the atmosphere was just pompous and they treated us like trash and I think I spent $1000 there we went for drinks upstairs afterwards and again the staff seemed irritated that they had to make us a drink as they did earlier when we sat at the bar when the bar was relatively empty, they just seemed Irritated at serving their guests. We found the whole evening interesting and disappointing The way the restaurants handles handled us. We jut found the experience bizarre and awkward. Just don't understand what type of theme or genre they were trying to attempt. No need to ever have dinner there again. Great drinks though.

                                                                          Excellent service, beautiful views. Wellington was undercooked. Steak Diane was excellent. Burger was delicious. Sides were all very greasy (Mac n cheese, potatoes, mushrooms). Drinks were on point. Ambiance was great thanks to the beautiful views. Overall a great place for dinner

                                                                          I loved this restaurant. Such a sexy vibe paired with delicious food and excellent service. We shared some steaks and sides they were all excellent. I had the Martinez cocktail reminded me of being in Spain.

                                                                          A great experience - as before. In addition we had a special needs diner and the staff was most accommodating. The waitress knew gluten free and dairy free options.
