Had a very nice brunch for a special occasion. The hostess who greeted us on Sunday was very welcoming and friendly that the initial interaction already made us want to come back to the restaurant. Our waitress and the floor manager were very attentive and friendly. Servers including the bartender were professional. We both loved the appetizer we chose and the drinks included in the course menu. Main dish was quite underwhelming- perhaps because the appetizer was too good? Overall it was a very satisfying experience :)

Are here one evening and then the next morning for brunch as well. Great food and knowledgeable wait staff. Pricey but worth it for a splurge. The only problem is that the sound is fairly loud and I had a hard time hearing my companions and the wait staff. Fun cocktails and great grazing menus. Dinner - scallops, bursts, and beef carpaccio were fantastic. Also do the strawberry dessert. Divine!!!

The food and drinks were unbelievable. We had the poached lobster, carpaccio and halibut which were all to die for. Even the bread was amazing. We will def be coming back next time we are n Vancouver .

Can’t say enough good things about our time at Botanist! We came for our wedding anniversary and had a beautiful card and champagne waiting for us at the table. The hostesses were very courteous and our server, Chris, was amazing. He thoroughly explained different menu options to make sure the experience was catered to our tastes and checked on us often from the appetizers through the main course to dessert. The atmosphere was wonderful. We sat in the semi-outdoor seating area near the bar with beautiful foliage and piano playing in the background. One thing to note: be wary of the bread—delicious and so tempting to keep eating it but save your appetite for the main course and you won’t be sorry. Tagliatelle, poached halibut, and king salmon were perfect along with the raspberry pavlova. Also enjoyed our drinks: “What the Flower” and “Needed Escape”. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent service and food as always. Only complaint was the pianist that night was rushing through every piece. Quite anxiety provoking. The end result was a sense of chaos on top of the increasingly loud chatter in the dining room. I believe the atmosphere should be lively but not to the point of nerve wrecking.

The ambiance is so beautiful & relaxing. Loved all the artwork and greenery. We went for brunch, curated a la carte menu, you have the choice of 2 for 65 or 3 for 71. We all did 3, which also included two cocktails or mock tails. We all chose different items: Starters: Steak tartare : 5/5 Mushroom toast : 5/5 Buratta salad : 5/5 Entrees: Butter poached lobster Benedict : 4/5 Lamb poutine : 3/5 Chili torched salmon : 5/5 Desserts: We had the two options and both were amazing but the presentation of the Black Forest cherry was quite the show stopper. Loved the experience, service was great as well as everyone worked as a team. Great place to visit whether you’re visiting Vancouver or a local.

Best service in Vancouver! Wagu Carpaccio was amazing as were the cocktails... The mains of lobster and halibut were a little disappointing though in the veggie pairings and sauce flavour... also not very hot when it came out... Great space and comfy seating and delish fresh bread though so all in all a 4 star experience

One of those rare occasions when everything was excellent. Service fantastic, drinks great, and every dish was full of flavour and complexity. The burrata appetizer and lamb main and chocolate dessert were especially outstanding. The only slight miss was the grilled octopus which could have been more tender but the flavours were great and still would recommend it. On the pricy side but well worth it.

Happy to find a wonderful restaurant in Vancouver for a late diner very lively. The food was amazing,the wine selection from the sommelier perfect,we could try 3 different wines from BC. Great staff service perfect service following by the chef tiger eye.

I would rate it 10/10 even if we didn’t eat… the pianist made the meal for us. It only helped that the “take it from here” dinner rocked our worlds…. Very impressed, visiting from seattle and would recommend this over and over to everyone I know.

The appetizer course was excellent. The Basil Sorbet was truly unique and delicious. The tagetelle was great and the octopus was outstanding. Sadly the main courses were less stellar. The salmon was bland, the steak was good but a strange mix on the plate. The service was excellent and we enjoyed ourselves. But, we are foodies and had high hopes. This was solid but not spectacular.

Fabulous place. Flavors were all extraordinary! Service above and beyond. I ate ate three top rated restaurants while in Vancouver and Botanist was heads and shoulders above the rest.

I wouldn’t recommend the chefs menu as the chefs don’t really take personal care to deliver a menu and the service staff are terrible! I’ve had better service at any small restaurant where the service staff cares to atleast ask if the diner needs anything or how the food tastes after they put the food on the table! Very very disappointing and would probably not go again! It’s just a fad and it’s like holiday inn service at fairmont price

Great place for a birthday brunch. The beef tartar was amazing and the cocktails lovely. Waitress was very personable and attentive without hovering. Certainly recommend to anyone looking for a venue that feels fancy without being pretentious

I have been there on Sunday lunch time. I felt not comfortable because Botanist provided unproved menu and requested to order at least two kinds of dishes. I think it is not usual service practice.

Food, service and drinks all were top notch for Saturday brunch. The decor is pleasant also. The DJ was a bit too aggressively hip for my Saturday afternoon tastes but that’s not necessarily an opinion shared by all. LOL

The service was fantastic and so were the drinks. The French toast was quite underwhelming, none of the cinnamon/nutmeg flavor I would expect. Very soggy bread feeling. Starters for brunch were great particularly the beef Tartar, and the cherry chocolate dessert was super good. Well priced but sad the mains fell short.
