Bottega Italian Kitchen & Bar
Come and embrace Edmonton’s newest Italian Kitchen and Bar, located on 104th.
Service was horrendous. Server came up to us, didn’t even introduce herself, and we had to grab her attention to order appetizers. This was the last we saw of her. When the manager cleared off the plates from the appetizer, we ordered our food. This was the last we saw of the server or the manager until we were done when we flagged down the server to get the bill.
Risotto dish tasted terrible and was removed from our bill.
Rigatoni Abruzzi fish was very good, but too much sauce made the dish super spicy.
Pizza was pretty good and Carbonara dish was average.
Fantastic wine selection and excellent service.
The food at dinner was good however, one pizza was burnt and sent back, only to receive a new one, which was then undercooked. At least it was taken off the bill.
The service was kinda slow. The room was soooo loud (music and people having to shout to each other) we could barely have a conversation. Couldn’t hear anyone except person next to you (sometimes).
We had to ask that the pounding music be turned down only to hear it get louder again shortly thereafter.
Our party of 8 had finally picked a night that we could all get together for dinner and catch up, but were unable to even have a conversation. Did not even speak to those at the other end of the table. So much for a visit. We were all very annoyed 😤 and disappointed.
Sub par food. Very loud. Nice store. Busy so service was slow.
Very enjoyable experience. We will definitely return!
Birthday Dinner, my partner’s choice, I’m biased as I’m not a big pasta fan
The food was tasty, but the interaction with staff was a bit odd.
We were chatting and eating our entrees slowly. We were approached by a staff member who wasn’t our waitress and were asked if we wanted our food packed up while we both had more than half of our food still on our plates? The restaurant was not busy and there were plenty of tables.
A number of different staff served us for the remainder of the meal. Everyone was polite, but we felt we were being rushed out. Ultimately, we decided to go have desert elsewhere because of the service.
Amazing food, the service was quick, helpful and kept to our lunch break schedule! All in all, loved it.
This place is vibrant and I loved the energy. The drinks were awesome and same with the staff but it took too long to get our food. We had ordered simple appetizers like Charcuterie board and it took about 1 hour to get it. We were starving!
Nik and the bar team and never failed to make my friends and I have a good night!
Celebrated a 30th birthday here! Excellent food, great atmosphere, service was a little shaky. All of our orders were correct but we waited about 40 minutes extra to get our bill, which turned us off a bit. Overall nice restaurant and would recommend again!
The location does not have parking and street parking was difficult to find. The ambiance and service were great. However, the food was nothing to rave about - the Rigatoni Abruzzi was far too salty as was the Carne 21 pizza. We did enjoy the Truffle Lobster Mac & Cheese as well as the Caprese Salad. Some members of my group got very sick afterwards.
Enjoyable evening with the family!!
Service was outstanding !!’
One small concern was that our espresso was not as strong as we are accustomed to.
It almost appeared to have been watered down.
Likely an operational issue not the coffee.
The food was amazing and so was the service. We will be going there again.
Everything was wonderful. It was our Wedding Dinner and the staff was great.
Wonderful and knowledgeable staff! Great experience!
Food was great, service left something to be desired - ordered one beer got another - value was good, enjoyed the night besides that
I feel like I’m at a Ritz Carlton each time we visit for dinner.
Though we miss your Whyte Ave location, it’s worth the trip dt to keep up our favourite dining out.
Between John and I , I’m the picky eater. I’m extremely selective where I go, especially for pizza. I’m really not a pizza lover, but it’s the thin crust, flat style, never mind the consistency of my favourite one that is absolutely exceptional!! The simple but amazing “Margarita” with added arugula.
This last visit on Thursday the 22nd of August was our dating anniversary and we were treated so well. What is to be expected!! Yet unfortunately this isn’t the case at most restaurants...
Bottega is our home away from home, so thank you.
Cheers, Samantha and John
Great place to take a date and enjoy a vibrant atmosphere
Nice that you took a reservation but they are closed for renovations. Good god Open Table and Bottega! Won’t bother again. Too many other choices out there!
The meals were very good. The only thing was the arriabiatta that my husband ordered was way too spicy for him. We should have asked how spicy it was but we didn't. Not to worry though, the waitress looked after it for us. Next time we would get the spice on the side if possible and add as required.
Great food, great atmospherey
why is this restaurant closed and no one told me, i was not happy that i walked there to know it was closed
Arrived to a near empty room to be told "no other tables" were available for our reservation for 2, except immediately adjacent the hostess desk and door. Based on another comment, this seems to be a habit? Perhaps trying to appear busier... The other "unavailable" tables toward the kitchen didn't appear to fill up through our entire stay. Made for an unrelaxing evening regardless. Opted for the "I Know The Chef" four course omakase-style - an ok value for portion size, although dishes were either over or under seasoned. Salty beef on soggy bread, no seasoning in the lobster "cakes" (croquettes, to be correct). Duck was over cooked with ample white fat, served on a leaking platter that spilled grease all over the table while being served, alongside very over seasoned broccolini and greasy "roasted" veg. Dessert was the only real win. Bartender for some reason was serving a table next to us and became quite boisterous, encouraging over consuming and very loud. To their credit, a quick comment to a manager saw the issue resolved. Overall, hit or miss throughout. Server was fine, clearly working hard to keep up. Would recommend for a cocktail and appy before moving elsewhere for a more intimate dining experience, nothing more. Far better options in town for value and quality.
Excellent service. Catered to our every need. Excellent food. Never seen lamb pasta on a menu before. Great birthday!
I would recommend Bottega to all of my friends and family.
Nice room decor. Friendly and efficient service. Food was delicious. Great location.
Amazing food, great service know when to come check on you and when to leave you alone. Had a friend in town. Cocktails were expensive definitely go for wine as better value.
Food was great. Server must have been having a bad day. She was rolling her eyes and somewhat mocking as she served our table. Noise level was not "energetic". It was too loud to have a conversation at the table. There are lots of restaurants in Edmonton so would consider others before returning
Amazing food!!! Large portions. Service exceptional! Will definitely be back. Music could have been more Italian themed or romantic instead of really loud pop music, had to shout to hear each other. Overall a great experience and delicious :)
Food was great but was too loud to hear the person across the table.
The food and service was incredible. Jerica was friendly, knowledgeable and made out dinner that much better.
My friends and I greatly enjoyed our evening at Bottega and will definitely be coming back! I had the lobster linguini and the portion was so large that I didn’t finish and it was loaded with lobster and prawns. So good!
Overall very good. Service was a bit slow at start just getting our drinks and food ordered but after that it was good.
Out server was fantastic! I cannot recall her name but she was great :)
Enjoyed the food, great service! Good atmosphere! Would come back!
My salad wasn't too bad but I expected better. Overall, has potential and pretty good service.
Food was amazing and drinks as well. Very loud with music and people noise
Great environment and food. Food was delish but is on the heavy side (it’s Italian!). Highly recommend here if you want to hang and have a few drinks and snacks/apps to share
I have been here several times and have enjoyed it, tonight was different. The front of house was terrible tonight from the minute we walked in the door. I booked a table weeks ago, they were less then half full but insisted the table at the front door was all that was available, immediately told us we had a time limit to be there, did not have the first 2 drinks we ordered or 2 dishes (at the dinner service) then ignored us. I am bummed. The food is great and our previous experiences have always been good.
