Bottega Italian Kitchen & Bar
Come and embrace Edmonton’s newest Italian Kitchen and Bar, located on 104th.
why is this restaurant closed and no one told me, i was not happy that i walked there to know it was closed
Arrived to a near empty room to be told "no other tables" were available for our reservation for 2, except immediately adjacent the hostess desk and door. Based on another comment, this seems to be a habit? Perhaps trying to appear busier... The other "unavailable" tables toward the kitchen didn't appear to fill up through our entire stay. Made for an unrelaxing evening regardless. Opted for the "I Know The Chef" four course omakase-style - an ok value for portion size, although dishes were either over or under seasoned. Salty beef on soggy bread, no seasoning in the lobster "cakes" (croquettes, to be correct). Duck was over cooked with ample white fat, served on a leaking platter that spilled grease all over the table while being served, alongside very over seasoned broccolini and greasy "roasted" veg. Dessert was the only real win. Bartender for some reason was serving a table next to us and became quite boisterous, encouraging over consuming and very loud. To their credit, a quick comment to a manager saw the issue resolved. Overall, hit or miss throughout. Server was fine, clearly working hard to keep up. Would recommend for a cocktail and appy before moving elsewhere for a more intimate dining experience, nothing more. Far better options in town for value and quality.
Excellent service. Catered to our every need. Excellent food. Never seen lamb pasta on a menu before. Great birthday!
I would recommend Bottega to all of my friends and family.
Nice room decor. Friendly and efficient service. Food was delicious. Great location.
Amazing food, great service know when to come check on you and when to leave you alone. Had a friend in town. Cocktails were expensive definitely go for wine as better value.
Food was great. Server must have been having a bad day. She was rolling her eyes and somewhat mocking as she served our table. Noise level was not "energetic". It was too loud to have a conversation at the table. There are lots of restaurants in Edmonton so would consider others before returning
Amazing food!!! Large portions. Service exceptional! Will definitely be back. Music could have been more Italian themed or romantic instead of really loud pop music, had to shout to hear each other. Overall a great experience and delicious :)
Food was great but was too loud to hear the person across the table.
The food and service was incredible. Jerica was friendly, knowledgeable and made out dinner that much better.
My friends and I greatly enjoyed our evening at Bottega and will definitely be coming back! I had the lobster linguini and the portion was so large that I didn’t finish and it was loaded with lobster and prawns. So good!
Overall very good. Service was a bit slow at start just getting our drinks and food ordered but after that it was good.
Out server was fantastic! I cannot recall her name but she was great :)
Enjoyed the food, great service! Good atmosphere! Would come back!
My salad wasn't too bad but I expected better. Overall, has potential and pretty good service.
Food was amazing and drinks as well. Very loud with music and people noise
Great environment and food. Food was delish but is on the heavy side (it’s Italian!). Highly recommend here if you want to hang and have a few drinks and snacks/apps to share
I have been here several times and have enjoyed it, tonight was different. The front of house was terrible tonight from the minute we walked in the door. I booked a table weeks ago, they were less then half full but insisted the table at the front door was all that was available, immediately told us we had a time limit to be there, did not have the first 2 drinks we ordered or 2 dishes (at the dinner service) then ignored us. I am bummed. The food is great and our previous experiences have always been good.
Not a bad experience, just not up to the hype. They didn't do anything wrong, they just didn't really do anything that was above the basics. The food was okay, the service was okay, the decor was okay. But I was paying too much for just okay. There are too many restaurants in town that go above and beyond to provide a truly satisfying experience that I don't need to put up with just okay anymore. We have gone beyond the point where something catastrophic needs to happen to get a bad review. I found Bottega to be truly mediocre in every way.
Went into Bottega last night for some wine and pizza. The place never lets us down! Great staff, great food, and the management was very interactive. Highly recommend for anyone in Edmonton who wants a different ambience than your typical Joey or cactus club.
While drinks were a little on the pricey side everything else was amazing! Atmosphere was cozy yet comfortable. Service was quick and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious! Make sure you make a reservation as this place fills up fast for obvious reasons!
Great food, great, attentive service, terrific wine. Will be back for sure!
Good food great service.
Reasonably priced. Keeps us coming back.
The food and service were both excellent . A little pricey but quality and quantity were great.
Just a little noisy.
Great service - our server was friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. Delicious food (although a bit too salty) and generous portions.
Terrible terrible food. Especially the pizza. We couldn’t even eat it. The only good dish we had was the pear salad. Great location and great ambience. But we won’t go back.
Service was phenomenal, for a table of 7, our server remembered all our orders and drinks without a hiccup :)
Food was delicious and server was there when needed. Music was good but a little too loud, very difficult to hear our table conversations.
I had a lovely time on my night out!! Our waitress was amazing ...
As were all the other waitresses that were working! I will be back for sure !!!!!!!
We greatly enjoyed our meal at Bottega. The red wine sangrias were delicious; the caesar salad topped with salmon, and the pear & goat cheese salad with grilled chicken, were both excellent. However the noise level - from both the music and the conversations - was such that the two of us, hoping for an intimate dinner, had to yell across our table in order to be heard. Maybe this was because the restaurant has no sound-absorbing surfaces, or maybe because it was a Friday night before a big event downtown. Either way, the noise level really detracted from our overall experience. Maybe we will try again midweek when it might
Came to Bottega for a birthday celebration and we were disappointed with the service. The table was a table for 6 that they squeezed 8 of us into so we were knocking elbows throughout dinner. The food was good but service was slow. One persons meal was forgotten. One of the waitresses did not want to serve us and told us to wait a few minutes when we tried to ask for some chili flakes.
Bills were all mixed up with the wrong drinks and dishes on each persons bill. The penne was way too spicy to eat.
The food was great for the most part, got a salmon dish and had to send the back to the kitchen not once but twice due to it being very undercooked in the center. The staff handled it very professionally and were apologetic.
Bottaga was a awesome atmosphere, and we were really looking forward to a great meal. I got the chicken Alfredo, and was very disappointed. I would not go back, and definitely do not recommend the Alfredo. Really disappointed.
We live across the street from Bottega, and have been here a couple times for lunch on the weekend, the pizza and salads were great. This visit we had pasta dishes, my Wife had the abruzzi rigatoni and I had the spaghetti carbonara. The rigatoni had an overwhelming amount of oil in it, and was over salted, it looked like it could be a soup from across the table. My carbonara, also had a pool of oil at the bottom, I believe the sauce was broken. Needless to say, we both ate less then half of our dishes, and refused to take home the leftovers. The waitress offered us a partial discount for one of the dishes for compensation. It would take a lot for us to come back here again, especially with the price you pay.
Lovely service. Food was decently priced as the portions were significant.
Really enjoyed ourselves. Easy to book a reservation for 8 people . Great food! Good service.
Service staff carried out casual personal conversation in a group around the bar in between tasks. The bar was very close to our table and I found this unprofessional and disruptive to our conversation/dinner. A member of the kitchen staff was in the kitchen eating a meal in plain sight during our dinner. The food overall was good. My wife had the Lobster Linguine, which she loved. I had the Rigatoni Abruzzi, which I thought had good flavour, but it was overly greasy.
Food was good but it was very loud and tables were small..
The Wine on the menu are spelt incorrectly & they don’t list the year of each bottle - absurd!!!
Never seen Pizza cooked in a stone oven & served as a white crust-no color - should have some nice golden dark color - they have no idea how to Cook pizza in a stone oven.
The food was amazing. The first server we had was terrible - brought us warm water, was having a personal conversation with a coworker while we waited to have our order taken (there was only one other table of two), asked us if we wanted a dessert menu before we had even gotten our meals. The second server we had was so great though and made up for it, but I would tell people that service here is hit or miss and slow.
