For genuine Italian food, there are better options in the city. The food was mediocre, could name multiple Italian restaurants that have very similar menu items, and are much tastier and prepared better. Service was good, waitress was very sweet.
Excellent meal. Great service. Will definitely be going back!
Not what it used to be. Bland food and slow service.
Great location and vibe downtown. Extensive wine selection and many great dishes.
Bottega 104 has been our favourite Italian restaurant. However this time we left feeling a little disappointed with the menu changes. We always order the mussels which are favourite however they removed them off the menu, the lobster ravioli was excellent as usual and the risotto balls are now improved and highly recommended. The bruschetta which we were looking forward to has been redesigned for the worse. We both would advise skipping that one. All in all service and ambiance were great and we were please with the majority of our meal
One of the best risotto I've had to date. Scallops were seared perfectly however the lobster tails and the shrimp were a little over cooked for my liking. The filet mignon was decent cooked properly seemed to be an under average beef quality. The salmon was cooked nicely however was bland. Portion sizes were very large and you will not leave hungry. It was overall a pleasant night out staff was fantastic and the food was good.
Awesome food, great service!
Food was amazing as always! But the service was not great. It was not the servers fault though. There was 7 tables in the restaurant and people sitting at the bar and there was only one server to take care of everyone in the building, make drinks, clear tables, also seat the new people coming at the door and run food. You would have thought for the first night open after being shut down management would have planned accordingly. Also the manager was present, noticed how tables were not getting the attention they needed. As we made eye contact and he started to come over, but the server beat him to it and he never followed up. Overall extremely disappointed as this was an important night out for me and my boyfriend being it was the first night out since lockdown. Expected better based on previous experiences.
I joined a friend for wine and charcuertie (Tagliere Salumi E Formaggio) last Wednesday. The prosciutto and garlic & truffle oil cheese was the best I've ever eaten anywhere (I'm still thinking about it!) Our server Heaven was just that. And the fantastic conversation with Manager Antonio made the evening all the more memorable. In addition to the great conversation, he told us about the great Marketplace "to go" items on offer, including Italian Chicken and Turkey burgers. This was my first time to Bottega but definitely not my last. Highly recommended.
Right from the second we stepped in the service was amazing! All the way through to when we left. I believe our waitress' name was Darian? Or a name along those lines but she was amazing, so nice and helpful. Along with the amazing service the food and drinks were also great. Would definitely recommend to others and will come back.
We we’re given the lunch menu at dinner time so sadly
Missed out on some amazing dishes. They did comp one meal - but the point as we were visiting from outside of Edmonton. And wanted to try a dinner menu item
I had high expectations , but got very disappointed with the customer service and the wait time and the food(too salty, very bland and extremely overpriced). Other simpler restaurants have much better food .
Did not like it and left the place frustrated !
Worst experience at Bottega! I’ve been there numerous times with family/friends/clients and it’s been a go to. Saturday’s experience, I’m hoping, was just a blip on their radar. The food was awful - soggy and tasteless bruschetta. Their menu has been paired down significantly, probably due to Covid? The service was beyond horrible... we sat for over 25 minutes before someone offered us a drink and then waited another 10 minutes for them to arrive. The waitress - who turns out was also the Manager on duty that evening - was horrible and looked quite disheveled. We were hoping to order a couple bottles of wine and have a great meal but we decided to get the bill and go elsewhere that evening.
Over price for the quality of food. Presentation was not refine, the food was not warm. I was highly disappointed. Would not return.
if you are looking for good service, this is the place you wanna go! very friendly and they actually care about the experience each customer has when they step inside the restaurant
Our food was horrible! Our appetizer tasted like a skunk, the pasta had little flavor! Way over priced and disappointing! We had to go eat after we left.
New menu brought some delightful additions from new wine offerings to extremely tasty entrees, etc.
General manager was attentive and ready to anwser questions and suggestions. Service was fantastic and we truly enjoyed ourselves.
Great food, very accommodating and friendly staff. Would recommend!
Terrible food! Everything was bland and nobody even checked on us , we are not coming back.
Incredibly slow service and average food. One of the servers had an attitude. Why would anyone come here given all other good options nearby?
The Restaurant was nice and clean and a nice setting. But all of the food was quite average for the price, none of us left feeling very wowed or eager to come back. The drink selection was also a little below average. The service was great and the staff was super friendly but I probably won’t be jumping at the chance to return anytime soon, especially with all the other amazing restaurants on that street.
Great location, great food, great service and great ambiance
Nice establishment but the food and service sucks
It was difficult to read the menu without my iPhone light. The Cozze were the worst I’ve ever had, the pasta was way to salty. The only thing they did right was my tiramisu. I was very disappointed with the restaurant. The price was high and not worth it!
Booked two weeks ahead but when my family got there, they told us we needed to be separated due to covid reasons. We understand the restrictions put in place for safe and healthy precautions but at least put in the effort to let us know in advance just so we can adjust or don’t expect too much so plans don’t get ruined. As for food, it was okay. The service was good too.
It's areal shame but something has certainly changed at this restaurant. For this last visit we were their for our 25th wedding anniversary. The restaurant knew this but when we arrived, although it was pretty much empty, we had to wait to get seated, wait to have menus brought to us. In the past, the service would of been quite different - especially if the restaurant knew it was a special occasion. We have been going to this restaurant since it opened, we have tried everything on the menu. This time around the caesar salad was very disappointing and the tenderloin entree was another disappointment. Based on this last visit, I don't think it would be a place I will be back to anytime soon.
Excellent food and great service! Definitely went the extra mile for us.
Overall it was a great experience. Calm atmosphere, great service, delicious food. Would come here again.
Food was delicious and the plated very well. Very friendly service.
I am not one to write a negative review pretty much ever, but We had a Poor experience from when we first walked in. It took almost ten minutes waiting at the door even with a reservation, and then another ten minutes to be greeted by our server. Our server was decent enough, but I felt very put off by her chest being in our faces from her attire (I would feel very awkward if I was dining with my father for example). My spouses chicken dish was then quite under cooked, to the point where he couldn’t eat it and was worried about getting sick after. We were offered a free dessert, but I feel like the least they could have done would have been to comp his less than half eaten meal. We will not be back and have shared our experience with our friends and family.
Lobster ravioli and other pasta dish (first on one the menu) my husband had were to salty. Also noise was way to loud after 9:30pm. Music was loud.
Great food and service. Highly recommend the carbonara and Alfredo.
I found the restaurant was packed. No concern for social distancing. Customers were wandering around without masks on. I’ve been to several places to eat out in COvID and I’ve never felt more unsafe.
Anniversary lunch.
Wonderful as always!
Fantastic food, fantastic location, fantastic service.
Staff were fantastic and food was delicious
Absolute no regard to social distancing
Under seasoned pasta
We came for lunch specifically to have lobster mac and cheese, because we’ve had it there a couple of times before and it was AMAZING... generous amount of large lobster pieces throughout with a nice little claw in top. This time, as hard as we searched through our mac and cheese, we could not find a hint of lobster. On top we found what looked like half of a large prawn. Left disappointed with no compelling reason to return. Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback and best of luck to your restaurant!
Always great food and excellent customer service!
