The kitchen was not working due to a problem , extreme limited menu, not what we wanted to eat … basically only cold salads & sandwiches with melted cheese . No soups , hot dishes , no fries Had we known in advance before being seated & handed a menus … only then we were told about the limited options , we would have left & gone somewhere else , but my guest has problems walking … so no choice but to stay !!

Let start with the good. The space and ambiance are prefect for a French bistro. The food was a bit off. My mussels in white wine came out in a tomato base broth, not very white wine like. The escargot was bland not seasoning just hot oil and butter. The service from the bar, waiting for our table, to the table it seems I was always trying to get a staff members attention away from a conversation with another staff member. it is a good neighborhood restaurant, but it could be better.

Had an amazing dinner here! They went above and beyond in terms of service - we asked if they could make a drink but they didn’t have what is used in it so they asked and i’m pretty sure they went out and got what was needed just in order to make this drink we asked for. We said it was fine if they couldn’t!

Food is way too expensive for the taste and quality. You’re better off going to L’Express a block away for better food, ambiance, and price. Have been here before for brunch and feel the same.

Showed up on time. Seated in beautiful outdoor seating yet food has never arrived AFTER an hour and 15 minutes. It was horrible service. Waiters seemed to be very uninterested to serve and didn’t really know what was going on. We ended up leaving and going to another restaurant. I was hoping to give my mom smooth mother’s day but unfortunately we will be no longer visiting Boucherie UNION SQUARE Location!!

Our Mother’s Day experience was disappointing. We were told the French toast and Beyond Burger were not available. We were informed that the cooking staff was short and that there would be an hour delay for our food. The server refilled our bread and the French onion soup was timely and tasty. One and a half hours after ordering our entrees arrived. Not worth the wait! The Australian “Rib Eye” had little flavor and no marbling. Nothing in the steak cut resembled a ribeye. Omaha steaks would have been preferable. The Boucherie burger was dry and the brie was undetectable. At no point did a manager become available. At this point we decided to cut our losses.

It was our first time dining here and though the food is good, the service is poor. It was a pretty long wait all throughout the meal. We waited over 45 mins to an hour for the main course to arrive. I don't think I've waited that long anywhere, even if the place was extremely busy. We were given some souvenirs to offset the poor service, but I don't think I will be coming back here.

Went here for Mother’s Day brunch! Food took forever but they warned us the kitchen was backed up and also gave a free round of mimosas for the wait. The food was delicious when it finally came out so we didn’t mind! Very nice waitress too.

Kitchen was apparently backed up yet the restaurant was not full. Service was nonexistent. Food was so late it never arrived and they told us they had no estimate when it would come. We left early and they still charged us for two coffees

The restaurant is beautiful and the food is quite good. We went for brunch on Mother’s Day, and it took us two hours to get our food – – the kitchen was struggling. I would definitely go back though. Just not on holiday.

We dined here on Mother’s Day for brunch. The food was disappointing but we did enjoy the atmosphere there. Our meals were ok. 4 of us had the boucherie burger which we all thought was dry and not very flavorful. One person in our group had the eggs benedict, which she said was good. I would recommend going here for the atmosphere, but ask the waitstaff for their recommendations off the menu. We wished we had done that.

The food was OK, but not what we'd expected. One of the steaks was overcooked and a bit tough. The others in our party found theirs to be cooked appropriately. Overall, it was fine, but not what it's billed to be IMO.

The meal was a birthday brunch and it was a perfect spot. Everything was delicious. Desert arrived with a birthday candle. Loved the music. What made everything so enjoyable was the outstanding waiter who served us. I highly recommend Boucherie Union Square.

My mother ordered a burger and fries. The burger was served cold while the fries were hot. When the waiter inquired why the burger was uneaten we explained the problem. The waiter acknowledged the issue. But that was it. No effort to address the issue or mitigate the situation. No offer to remake the dish. No discount for the unacceptable meal. Nothing. Simply "here's your check". I've been to this restaurant often. Used to enjoy it. Don't expect that I'll return again.

Our entrees took three requests and 40 minutes to arrive. When they did the Confit de Duck and Cassolet were dry and inedible. We sent them back and did not reorder. Even if the food had been edible, the portion sizes for more than $40 each were completely unacceptable. This is the worst case of a very poor quality and overpriced Manhattan restaurant that I have seen for a very long time. It gives the high quality NYC brasseries that it is trying to imitate a bad name. Would I return - no. Would I recommend it - never.

Fantastic experience! Everything was outstanding. Had beet salad and filet mignon. Both were among the best we have had anywhere. Mashed potatoes were great. Crème brûlée was a perfect finish for the meal. Server was wonderful and all wait staff was attentive. I highly recommend Boucherie Union Square.

We had a wonderful meal here while in NYC. The service was outstanding, the food delicious and ambiance was great. Our only complaint (all be it minor) was there was a lot of noise. But truly this is more of us personally due to difficulty in hearing for my husband.

Excellent service and fabulous French decor were perfect. Our host asked if we prefer indoor or outdoor seating. The soup of the day (tomato) and Caesar salad were tasty. The duck leg confit and filet mignon were cooked expertly. The flan was absolutely yummy.

Average. We chose it because it was in the top 10 in NYC (according to Trip Advisor) - it was certainly misleading. Maybe it's better for brunch or lunch, but as far as dinner is concerned -- the whole experience was average - from the 1st contact with the hostess to the seating next to extremely noisy patrons (when other tables were available), serving of "warmish" food. Waiter and somelier made good efforts, but still doesn't make the cut. Do not recommend as a "do or die" in NYC. If you're around Union Square and absolutely need to eat some aged steak, maybe you should consider it. For the rest, you'll find better value around.
