Food was fine, if outrageously expensive. Boring atmosphere of a hotel restaurant. They couldn't wait to get us out the door as the entrees came out white we were finishing the appetizers. Then came a 45 minute wait for the valet. I'm all set with this place. Three stars only because the food was decent.

Our server was a joy and made this dining experience five star instead of four star. Recommended dishes were spot on as she guided us through to desert. The lobster bisque is key to a great start. The scallops were done to perfection. I also have to point out the craft cocktails were outstanding. There was no wait, but there should have been based on the food and service we received.

I made a reservation based on the chefs name and reputation. When I arrived, I found the dining room to be pleasant, but somewhat sterile, and almost completely empty. I believe there were only three couples, including us, in the room during our dinner. The service was slow. The waitress was young and very timid, we found it easier to converse with her in Spanish than English. We ordered a salad to share, mixed appetizers and two pastas. The salad was quite ordinary, but the appetizers were good. The food arrived in an appropriate amount of time. the pasta dishes were quite conventional, probably not much different than one would get at a chain ltalian restaurant, despite Sterling descriptions on the menu. We decided to skip dessert as the experience up to that point was underwhelming. I noticed that the manager came around to ask us if everything was OK when we couldn’t find the waitresses. what was consistent with a fine dining restaurant was the very high price tag for what amounted to two average pasta dishes, a salad, and an appetizer. Since neither of us drink, we only had ice water. I noticed that the check included an 18% service charge and an area for an additional tip was included. In my experience, most restaurants have one or the other. So in conclusion, a very expensive restaurant with food that was one step above the Olive Garden with slow service and an essentially empty dining room, got the crowd that it deserved. Ironically, on the way out, we noticed it at the restaurant, which is in a hotel is situated next to the hotel restaurant. It was crowded, lively, and noisy. The contrast speaks volumes. Won’t be going back. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Really nice ambiance. People were really nice. Service was a little slow but nothing bad by any means. The food was good but a little overpriced. The Halibut was odd as it came out completely white without a nice crisp crust which I think took away from the fish a little. It was like it was cooked in a sous vide. The chicken was good. The octopus was a little overcooked and chewy because of that but it's hard to find a place that cooks it just right. The pistachio and strawberry dessert was good.

A little pricey for a simple breakfast. Not sure if it was our fault or the OpenTable reservation information, but I had thought we were going to have brunch. But, upon arrival found it was regular breakfast (limited menu) until 11 a.m. The service was fantastic, the food...simple breakfast...eggs, sausage, coffee. My small, regular coffee cup size, cappuccino was $9... I'm not a stickler for spending good money for an experience. But the items on the menu were 3-4 times higher than what the establishment paid. Being from New Orleans and also a foodie, I feel educated enough to state the comments made. I also own a PR company that supports national Chefs and restaurants. I will be back and thought the ambience was beautiful and unique. Plus, the Brunch and dinner items sounded amazing. I was very impressed with the staff...polite, friendly and over the top service!

Love Daniel Boulud’s restaurants in NYC. This one in Miami is a mess. Food was barely ok in terms of flavors. Steak and Eggs came as dry as one imagine. Requested medium rare. Was completely well done The service felt scattered. No one came to check on us. We had to constantly try to get the attention of the multiple waiters around. No one asked us if valet validation was needed. We had to come back in after leaving, very disorganized process, too. Overall, not worth at all. Too many much better options in Miami to even consider this restaurant again

Octopus was over cooked and hard. Hamburger was cold and the inside was grey not pink, no juice. Fries undercooked. Wasn’t offered a replacement meal. Club soda ( from the gun) $9 a glass, wasn’t topped up at all. Daniel should remove his name from this restaurant, very sad.

Food was excellent, as it was the service. Ham croquettes we’re just a tad dry on the inside, scallops, tuna tartare and the grilled octopus were outstanding. Red snapper was very good too. Waiting staff was very attentive and timely. Portions are rather small, and the tab for three appetizers, two entrees, and one dessert, plus a bottle of decent wine was $300 with tip, for three people. A bit pricey compared to other very good restaurants in downtown Miami. Very good experience overall, nonetheless.

I would say that the food was nothing special. When going to a Boulud restaurant you expect a little bit of WOW!! We arrived a few minutes early and restaurant was pretty empty but the hostess insisted we sit at the bar and wait. That set the tone for the evening and that’s unfortunate. Our server was EXCELLENT but the food was just ok - nothing special. With so many excellent restaurants in Miami - there is no need to return.

We have enjoyed wonderful meals at Daniel, Bar Boulud, Boulud Sun and Le Gratin in New York City as well as Cafe Boulud in Palm Beach. The food is delicious and taps into the flavors and essence of the food of the area featured. In Miami, the awning says Mediterranean in big letters. But the food lacked any seasoning at all. My chicken breast was grilled with no marinade, herbs or even salt and pepper. The salad was lacking any dressing or enhancements. I felt as if I was at a health spa where the prescribed diet was for patients who were on strict bland diets. What a disappointment!
