“Arguably the best oyster bar of any white tablecloth restaurant in New Orleans” per the Times-Picayune, Dickie Brennan’s Bourbon House is all about local seafood. If it’s not in season, you won’t find it on the menu. Enjoy authentic New Orleans dishes and oysters on the half-shell in a lively atmosphere overlooking Bourbon Street.

Dickie Brennan and his culinary team have created an incredible menu of classic New Orleans dishes complemented by new favorites. Signature favorites include Gulf fish on the Halfshell and New Orleans style Barbeque Shrimp.

Bourbon is a central focus at the bar with 200 bourbons on the list. Bourbon House is the perfect place for a specialty cocktail or a straight pour of that hard to find small-batch whiskey.

Amazing meal and great break from the noise outside. Service is slow and drinks were inconsistent but overall a nice experience

We loved Bourbon House so much we came two nights in a row. Everything was delicious & service was wonderful. Can’t wait for my work conference next year so we can return!

The food was amazing, always is! But the service… you couldn’t find more unpleasant people in all of New Orleans. The hostess couldn’t be bothered to stand up from her elbows on the desk to check us in. Then proceeded to bring us to a high top table with barstool seating while clearly seeing we had a guest 65+… when I told her that wouldn’t work and asked if we could sit at an appropriate table, she walked away with no reply. She did end up seating us at a table..

Service was a little slow but there were a lot of patrons seated so I’ll give them that. Took 15 minutes to get our drinks. We decided to order apps and dinner at the same time bc we were concerned when we would see our waitress again. Waited another 40 minutes for food to arrive. We received appetizers and food at the same time. HOWEVER the food was outstanding. We had oysters both raw and cooked; delicious and fresh. Ordered shrimp and grits as well stuffed fish. Both dishes amazing. Restaurant manager, Alex, came to our table and asked how everything was. Thought it was very thoughtful. Gave him some constructive criticism which he appreciated and handled well. All in all I will definitely come back.

Fantastic experience! Food was delicious, our server Casey was outstanding and paid attention to all the details. It was our second time there. Everytime we are in New Orleans it will be a must for us. Highly recommend!

The food and service was excellent. Ashley,our server, was very helpful in giving her food recommendations. She was friendly, courteous with a professional demeanor. Overall the Bourbon House experience was excellent.
