Steak was decent and goat cheese was fantastic. The lobster was way overdone and the Au gratin was chewy. The carrot cake was not very good at all but the crème brûlée was decent. $286 for 2 people was insane. I expected way better. I will never again.

Noisy female group at bar made conversation difficult. Mix up with reservation was solved. Steaks were disappointing even though cooked to request perfectly. Goats cheese appetizer and au gratin potatoes were wonderful. Way too early for full Xmas decorations!

Best steak I have had at a restaurant. Small, upscale, intimate venue. You order sides for sharing separately from your steak. It's pricey, so I'd personally consider this a place to celebrate a special occasion.

What can I see, it literally is the best steak house. Being from Chicago and frequenting all the old Chop house Bowdies is right on top. We find an excuse to go the 4 hour drive every year.

The place sucks. To pay that price for no smile no style is ridiculous. Manager in sagging Jean's including butt crack? Server absent for 20 minutes. So loud you could not hold a conversation. Took my food home! Not worth $255.

We always have wonderful service here and really well cooked food. The Brussels are on point and the flavor and cook of the steaks is always amazing. One of our favorite places in Lansing, no question!

My husband and I went to Lansing's Bowdies Chophouse for dinner on Sweetest Day. The filets were cooked perfectly and the au gratin potatoes were cheesy and delicious. It's one of our favorite restaurants!

Absolutely the best steak I have ever had. It had a nice like crust to it. Delicious. Opted for the 10 oz filet. Perfection. Au gratin potatoes were a terrific pairing. I also had the shrimp cocktail. They were actually like prawns. Very large, but oh so good. I cannot say enough good about the experience and the food.

Bowdies is such a great place. Their prices are high for the area, but it's so worth the splurge once a year for an anniversary dinner. Portion sizes seemed bigger this year with crab cakes, soup and side salad compared to previous years which was nice!

Bowdies is the premier restaurant in Lansing MI. We had wonderful service and the restaurant itself is very small. Highly recommend reservations. We had a wonderful appetizer, the wedge salad, two great steaks and wonderful brussel sprouts and belly as our side dish. Steaks were cooked perfectly and wedge salad we split for the two of us. It was a special occasion our 41st wedding anniversary. Can't wait to go back.

Continuing to reminisce about our dining experience last night. From the intimate setting, perfect martini, friendly staff that were genuinely pleasant and aim to please to the best butternut squash soup, Au Gratin potatoes and Tomahawk Prime Steak we have ever enjoyed. Perfect evening!
