The rooftop dome is amazing! Such a unique experience. Great food and staff.

We choose the roof too sitting. We stood waiting for them to prepare the charcuterie board before being taken to our table. Thus having charcuterie and no wine to go with it. The server has to go down an elevator outside and into the restaurant for any food or beverage. Being seated first then taking beverage order and brining it with the charcuterie would have been a better experience. The pasta was bland and served cold.

The domes were perfect - beautiful and cozy. Josh was great! Loved their playlist too. Drinks were amazing (my favorite was the Lovecraft). Food was good.

A perfect spot for date night, or for a intimate get together. Exquisite food and amazing cocktails (they have the best Old Fashioned in the City), coupled with the nice cozy atmosphere of the Dome it truly is a place worth visiting every 3 weeks! (When the menu changes)

We had the set menu in one of the roof top geodomes. Totally worth it! A unique experience, great food, great drinks for a very reasonable price. We loved it and will be back for sure! Thanks so much for the great experience Boxer!

Great food and incredible cocktails! Our server was great! Very attentive and respectful. Service was a bit slow but understandably so as it seemed there was only one bartender and one server on and the place was pretty busy. Overall, would definitely come back! Croquettes were to die for!

We did the wine and cheese in the winter patio domes and it was incredible! The domes were fairly private and were well distanced. A cheese board was included in our table reservation and it would also include a meat board, but we are vegetarians (they were very accommodating). Our server was so lovely and kind. Boxer is an experience and I highly recommend it! Great food, beautiful ambiance, and exceptional service.

Cute. May be different right now than their usual style bc of covid rules. Almost no gluten free options that are good. Ended up having dessert but was unsure if it was actually GF or not. Overall pretty good.

I really liked the menu, however the food was not executed well. The pasta was crunchy - not al dente.

A group of friends and I visited Boxer on Friday Oct 16 for dinner. The menu looked really good and the atmosphere of the restaurant was trendy. We started off with drinks, no complaints there. I was slightly disappointed after looking at the menu because a vegan pasta I was looking forward to having was no longer available (it was on the menu posted on their instagram page in June-no updated food menu posted since.)

Anyways, we ordered the brussel sprouts, beetroot carpaccio, butternut fall salad, spaghetti carbonara and stroganoff.

The brussel sprouts and beetroot capaccio were great. However, I was very disappointed and slightly shocked with the butternut fall salad. I could tell right away that the salad which went for $16 (large size) was the exact "sweet kale" salad kit from costco. The only difference is that they added boiled butternut. Very upsetting paying $16 for a bagged salad.

The stroganoff was okay but definitely on the salty side.

Regardless the food was decent but I don't see myself coming back to Boxer for another try as it was nothing special.

Takes guts to open a restaurant during these times, overall it was a nice night out. Initially the service and drinks were a bit slow, but it picked up later in the evening. We had a few appies as we intended it to be a loungey type night not a supper out. We had the Beetroot Carpaccio, it was delicious also the Brussels sprouts which we were pleasantly surprised to see weren't a deep fried mess, they were light and full of flavor. We finished of sharing the Ricotta Gnocchi, it was a nice filling rich dish. Truthfully we really liked the place and plan to go back. Maybe one suggestion would be to get a DJ on weekends spinning some tunes.

Our family had a lovely evening. Charcuterie was excellent. Meals all very nicely presented and delicious. The gnocchi was perfectly sized while the trout and schnitzel were a tad small. Deserts were lovely.

Great service, fast and friendly. The food was a little underwhelming, butchers cut meat was a steak, cooked a little too hot. Med rare, came out cold in the middle, very fatty and lots of gristle.

My wife and I like be this spot. Very nice location tucked away off Whyte ave. Food is unique and very good. Service and ambiance are great. We will be returning for sure.

Last minute decision to go out. We were able to get a last minute reservation. It was our first time to Boxer, great choice. It was excellent ! And the cocktails! Wow

Creativity and then some...great people ...interesting location...reminders me of Toronto & Vancouver settings...

We love what Josh and his team are constantly creating and offering the community! We will miss the Almanac (RIP). You can taste the passion they have for quality, unique drinks and food. We tried the Carne Cruda and it was so delicious and tender and flavourful! The chef, Trevor, is making delicious, thoughtful, Albertan inspired dishes. My favourite cocktail was the ‘Take You on a Cruise’ tiki drink. It was fruity but had a nice spice to it because of the ginger. If you’re looking for something light and refreshing, the ‘Garden Party’ is a great choice.
We also loved the SmashBerry rose and the Ballard Lane Pinot Noir they offered. We eat meat but they had a great selection of delicious vegan and vegetarian dishes as well, so there is something for everyone! Can’t wait to go back.

Fantastic food in a unique spot right in the heart of Old Strathcona. The menu is limited in gluten-free options - even having a gluten-free pasta would provide a lot more choice.

We had a great dinner here! The food was delicious, especially the house made tagliatelle!
All of the cocktails that we ordered were made with fresh ingredients and were super well balanced.
It's a really fun and lively space with really lovely staff! Will be back soon!
