Food and service was amazing! Will definitely be back.
We took a friend and he was an instant fan, said it was the best salmon he ever had.
If you are a fan of well prepared classic French cooking, well presented, and served, you will like Brasserie Bardot a lot. We will be back often.
Great weekend brunch location with a good menu selection.
Excellent food and portion sizes! I went with 4 other ladies and everyone raves about their food and drinks. The restaurant was so kind as to bring a special dessert for my friend that we were celebrating.
Beautiful new restaurant. Great ambience. The food was fabulous and the service was great. So excited to have this vent French Brasserie in our neighborhood.
Lovely service, great food presentation, beautiful atmosphere.
We have been to this restaurant a few times now and the traditional French food is excellent. Well prepared and presented, and the re-decoration has produced a very nice ambience. Please keep up the good work.
What a terrific lunch at Brasserie Bardot! We were celebrating my husband’s birthdays and our son joined us. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer experience. We were lucky to be the only table out on the outdoor patio and with the terrific food, superb service, fall leaves and patio heaters we couldn’t have had a nicer experience! Thank you, we will absolutely be back!
Wonderful evening. Great food and we loved the new menu.
Nice quiet place in a great neighbourhood. The patio had an outdoor heater which was nice.
I met some girlfriends for a late lunch on a Sunday. I had a glass of wine and the croissant sandwich with fries. They were amazing.
Lots of food, and very flavorful! Can’t wait until they get their brunch going.
This well-lit gem is set in the beautiful High Street area of Edmonton, but feels like a warp to Paris. The staff are attentive and calm, but excited about their menu. The love they pour into their customer service from taking a reservation to ensuring we had the alluring option for dessert is a testament to the beautiful experience we had here. Hands down, the veloute on the asparagus and mushroom appetizer and the duck were our favourite- this coming from a mostly plant-based consumer. Fabulous for a date!
Excellent traditional French cuisine, well prepared and presented with lovely fresh herbs. The only thing, minor, was the bread appetizer was not traditional French but was good bread.
A wonderful venue and outstanding food. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience and look forward to our next visit!
Fantastic food, fast service!
We enjoyed eating outside and listening to the live music
The food was excellent at every level
My chicken cordon Blue was delicious
My husband had steak frites
Service was professional and attentive
Overall a very good experience
We will return
I’ve been here for lunch before, which was great, but not an evening meal. It was wonderful. Hot, crisp bread to begin. We shared the baked Brie which was hot and gooey in the middle and crunchy on the outside, served with a fantastic berry compote that wasn’t too sweet or too tart. Just right. We both had flatiron steaks served with a crunchy salad with a wonderful light flavourful dressing and piping hot fries, we could have had many more of those if we’d had room! The steaks themselves, ordered medium rare, were spot on. Cooked to perfection, my companion had the Bernaise sauce which he raved about and I had the red wine sauce which was delicious. No room for dessert I’m afraid, but a wonderful 2 course meal all the same. We were there around 8pm on a Friday night and it was very quiet. Only a couple of other tables occupied. It was beginning to snow heavily, but even so I would have expected it to be busier than it was, especially given that the food here is wonderful. 10 out of 10. we will be back!
Our service was horrible, the food was ok, but came out kinda cold. A brunch for 6 women took over 2 hours and it was only our party and another in the restaurant. Very disappointing
Other than the fries, terrible food, previously frozen mussels; really?! Server was nice.
Excellent in every aspect. Friendly service, great food and great ambiance.
We had brunch on Sunday and I have to say the menu didn’t disappoint. Lots of selection and choices. I had lobster Benedict and it was a tail served up with a yummy hollandaise sauce. My eggs could have been softer but I struggle with that at most restaurants. We’ll definitely be back again!
Our server was rude, condescending and dismissive the entire evening. She would walk away from the table before we had the chance to complete our order for the drinks and food, and would ignore us when we attempted to raise our hand in an attempt to get her attention, walking past us several times without acknowledging us. When we were finally able to order, we ordered the meat and cheese platter. The menu indicated that the platter would include pickles and crostini. First, our server brought us the wrong dish entirely and was rude when we politely pointed out that we had ordered the meat and cheese platter. When she finally brought the meat and cheese platter, there were no pickles and it came with crackers that looked as though they were cheap, store bought Ritz crackers. When I politely asked for clarification, pointing to the menu which indicated that the platter would come with pickles and crostini, she rudely stated, “Well, that’s not true.. that’s a mistake on our menu” and then tried to walk away. This is incredibly disappointing, as my partner and I have been to this restaurant before and have previously had very good experiences here, which is why we chose to come here for a late Valentines Day dinner. We ended up politely requesting that she take our meat and cheese platter back. Again, she responded rudely and left. I decided that it would be best if we just asked for our bill and left. As I was walking down the stairs to the register to request our bill, I over heard her speaking poorly about us to other servers/people at the bar. I then bluntly told her that we would not be needing our last dish, and that we would like to have our bill so we could leave. This is by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant in Edmonton, let alone a restaurant that advertises itself as a fine dining experience. I normally do not write reviews, but received a request to do so by email and hope that this review is passed along to the right person.
Certainly for a glass of wine and a tapa......not for dinner
We tried the appetizers - steak tartare and escargot Wellington and both were great. Had several mains and dessert and enjoyed all. Overall a great experience. Wine choices were lovely. Would eat here again.
BB has an interesting menu and both the salad and appetizer I had for lunch were very good and a reasonable value. The ambience is very pleasant though I imagine it might be a bit noisy if the place was full. Good choice in drinks though a bit pricey.
Great service! Haven’t had fondue in a while and it was a lot of fun.
Our group had a great experience at this new restaurant. They have the biggest wine options by the glass in town with 20 wine choices and it is probably the only place in town to sell good wine by the glass for only 4$. Food was good, nice burger and mussels.
I read about the place in Tomato, the bi monthly food publication normally found at the entrance of Spinelli and a few other restaurants. They mentioned Brasserie Bardot has a good Mussels and French fries dish. So I thought I’d try it. The place makes great use of the small space it has. It’s also bright and makes a good option for an intimate afternoon drink. Menu is well balanced with items for everyone. It’s French inspired but people will still get a quinoa salad or a burger. No steak tartare unfortunately. I tried the mussels. Exactly what I expected. Good and leave no opportunity for any “should have” or “could have” comment. good selection of wines and beers. Pleasant service. Overall good place that I would definitely visit again.
This was our first time dining at Brasserie Bardot and we decided to try out their brunch menu. My steak and eggs while cooked well, were cold and quite bland. My husband’s omelette was slightly warm and watery with the only warm item being the potatoes. I understand they have only recently started servings brunch, but with only two tables of customers, we were disappointed with the quality of out meals. Hope it was only a reflection of their new menu getting broke in. Pepper and salt would have been nice additions to the table.
Lovely, cozy lunch with a friend - lots of time to talk and enjoy our food!
The brunch was incredible and the service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back!
Lunch was nice enough - a warm cheese fondue on a -35 degree day. Was a little strange being served bread and butter before having a meal that consisted of bread and cheese... Note to the chef: the bread was barely warm, certainly not warm enough to melt the rock hard cold butter. Would be lovely if the bread came out piping hot and the butter came out whipped.
Note to the owner: the washroom is lovely. I appreciated its accessibility.
I love the chic, French atmosphere, the European style service and the food! Oh, my! I’ve eaten here three times this month, have ordered something different each time and have always been extremely pleased.
I was hoping for more from this place! Food was good but not great, music was incongruous weird French pop for the first hour, really annoying actually. Got. We’re when it switched to more mellow later. Cheese fondue was delicious but could have used more variety for things to dip, like some veggies. Beef course was just stew in a pot which was really disappointing. Chocolate course was the best of all. Not sure I’d go back, didn’t love the ambience
The side room was a bit cold in my opinion, but it was not too bad and it didn't put a damper on the party.
Perfect for business meeting as well as a more social meal as well.
