What a wonderful experience!! We were early for our 7pm reservation and asked to sit at the bar for a drink before dinner. The table was ready but we didn't want to rush as we heard the bartender was good! The hostess was very happy to accommodate. Bartender was so friendly and poured our wines in the proper wine glasses for the varieties. Should also mention the glassware was so pretty! Bar stools were beautiful as well and thoughtful hooks under bar for handbag :) Our table for 2 in the window was cozy and waitress so cheerful and professional! Food was excellent!!! Everything we ate was perfect!!! My husband said the oysters were the best he ever had and the halibut and chic peas in a fantastic sauce great! I had beet salad and short rib - both awesome and expertly prepared. Fantastic wine list (offers some 1/2 bottles too) and the desserts were so good! (Profiteroles, cream brûlée, cappuccino and espresso -in such pretty cups!) Place has an elegant and relaxing vibe and we would highly recommend! Only regret is we only found this place on our last night in Bar Harbor!!

What a treat to find this treasure. We remembered this building as a furniture store and what a transformation! From the moment we entered, the service was spectacular. The wines by the glass selection was modest but our choices were lovely. And the food-oooh-la-la. Beautifully presented and exceptionally prepared with local products You will not be disappointed!!!

The food is so tasty and well presented. The hostess, server and team were really "on it. " Our table of 4 were thrilled with every dish...and we all ordered different options. Everything was beautifully prepared and served.

What a wonderful modern french bistro! From our first impression with our bartender David through dinner with our server Leslie everything was top notch. The escargot, short ribs bolognese and steak frites were delicious! Kudos to this newer restaurant for starting out doing it right!!

A culinary delight! The scallops were perfect. My husband said his chicken entree was the most tender he’s ever had and, served over mashed potatoes au jus-divine! Our server, from Hungary, was attentive to all details. A must dine experience when in Bar Harbor.

Food & service very good, commendable. Noise level however, when place near full occupancy, makes conversation difficult. Recommend looking at room acoustics ? Parking could be a problem - not for us, however, for we accidentally found your off-street private lot (opposite the kitchen).

This could end up becoming a Bar Harbor favorite. I had the escargot as an appetizer. It was the best I have ever had. For a main course I had the short rib bourguignon, which was delicious. I finished with the butterscotch crème brûlée and French press decaf. Both were excellent! Reni was a terrific server - attentive but not overbearing. Be sure to ask for bread, which is not automatically delivered. I hope they can expand the menu a bit next year. I look forward to my next visit.

Every time we visit Bar Harbor we make it a point to dine at Brasserie LeBrun. Twice! Fine dining at its best. Creative interpretations of traditional French dishes, huge wine list, knowledgeable servers, delicious cocktails, elegant, modern ambiance. Just the best!

Absolutely incredible experience!!! The food was so delicious and the portions were perfect. Our server was so friendly and made us feel right at home, which was great because we were celebrating a graduation. Highly recommend coming here especially for a special dinner.

The duck was fantastic, but the corn surprised won the show for me. The profiteroles were also very nice. My friend had the halibut with beans and mussels and she raved about that. A very pleasant evening with an attentive but not overly so waitress. She was also very knowledgeable about the food.

One of the best meals we had on island! Le Brun will soon be a very busy place. The moules frites were a delicious appetizer to share (sometimes a whole dinner of mussels is just too much. The scallops were delicious and the hanger steak as well. A small but interesting wine list. Well chosen. My only reservation about the place is that we found it too noisy for quiet conversation.

It's impossible to describe the level of excellence in food and service. Both Zana (at the bar) and Mark (at the table) were authentic, kind, and catered their care toward the individual. The food was impeccable. The pork special was laudatory. It was really a brilliant experience.

We chose this place to celebrate our 2 weeks stay on MDI. It was perfect! The chicken was the best ever with creamy pommels purée and a rich chicken gravy. The dessert we shared was the hazelnut crème brûlée accompanied with a Madeira port flight. So good!

Exceptional! We were blown away with the wine list and the food. Classic French bistro dishes with creative twists. The cauliflower dish was amazing…seemed Israeli inspired a bit. Service was also A+.

Very noisy, difficult to hear across the table and there were only 3 in our party. Service was generally good, one exception but it could have been miscommunication due to the noise level. Impressive wine list.

The food was excellently prepared and beautifully presented. The escargots were delicious as well as the short ribs. The butterscotch creme brûlée with hazelnuts was to die for! I wasn’t crazy about the ambiance; stark, modern and a very loud environment…..not cozy. But I knew that when I made the reservation. Something needs to be done about the noise level. Also it would have been nice if there were white tablecloths on the tables to go with the cloth napkins.

We came for a very early dinner with our toddler in tow. The service and bourbon selection was outstanding, we loved each dish we ordered - especially mussels and cauliflower. Highly recommend!

We started with the Escargot - fantastic! Then my husband devoured the Short Rib Bourguignon while I enjoyed the Duck breast Cassoulet. For a moment I thought I was in the south of France! I actually prefer white meat over dark and this dish was light and flavorful and still left room for dessert. Win Win! Bread is baked in house and the wine list is impeccable. Looking forward to many more meals!

Food was superb. The menu has a limited number of items but each one we had was simply excellent. The service was great. The restaurant also has a great wine list. I would definitely eat there again the next time I come to Bar Harbor.

Bar Harbor needed a place like this! Decor is chic and the menu is fun, interesting, but still accessible for those who are slightly less adventurous. The stars for us were the Corn Soubric, Salad Lyonnaise, Roasted Chicken, Short Rib and Hazelnut Brûlée for dessert. We also had the Tuna Tartare and while the flavors were delicious, we prefer our tartare with a bit of a crunch element. Also had an excellent wine and cocktail selection. Thrilled to have this as an option for dining out in BH. Very excited to return. Well done!

Food was great and service was friendly - a great addition to the Bar Harbor dining scene. Others have commented on the noise level and I’m guessing they’ll work on that - that’s my only suggestion for improvement. We look forward to going back.

All in all a quality experience. The Monk fish 5 stars. Steak Frites more like 3 stars. Under-seasoned steak and over seasoned fries. Bar drinks also a bit slow but good pours.
