the famous one dish steakhouse that opened in 1959 in Porte Maillot, Paris
The concept is simple, an amazing quality Sirloin Steak, accompanied by the delicious secret sauce, crispy homemade french fries, a simple salad & a glass of wine.
Nothing more, Nothing less …
The food was delicious, the service was attentive and friendly , we had a delightful night in every respect , thank you
Love everything about L'Entrecote. Our family have all become regulars to the Brasserie &
looking forward to our next dining experience.
Thanks to all the staff!
Great food, nice relaxed atmosphere, we were last to leave and were not hurried out.
Lovely place for a meal, exceptional food & service. Highly recommend
Brasserie l'entrecote brings back memories of Relais de l'entrecote on Paris.
Wonderful food and service..
Lovely evening spent with friends, all 6 of us enjoyed the food immensely, friendly staff and quality surroundings. Will definitely be returning
Good choice on the menu. Delicious food, very helpful staff. Quiet atmosphere inside even as the number of people at tables increased.
Loved the food and the atmosphere. Relaxed but classy. The steak was perfect and the dessert was absolutely divine. Recommend to all.
We enjoyed an excellent lunch & service for family reunion of 10
Awesome food and service as always...............
The service was (as always) impeccable and friendly. The mains were delicious. The cocktail and drink menu is great. However the entrees (particularly the escargot) were underwhelming.
Food was absolutely sensational. It is a must try. Service was perhaps a bit slow and not as warm as I'd expect. Perhaps they were too busy on that particular day (Friday).
Well appointed authentic French cuisine; friendly and professional - you will not find anything on the Upper North Shore to equal it.
You must give it a try!
Excellent local restaurant that changes the menu on a regular basis.
Quality of food and service is excellent.
Good French Brasserie.
Bring back the charcuterie option for entree..!
Go the steak,Frittes and salad...
This restaurant is known for its steak however the meat was tough and poor quality. Very disappointing.
Good service warm ambience and nice food
There needs to be more restaurants like this on the North Shore. Quality dining, excellent wine list and efficient service. My only grip is that is WAY too noisy... some simple noise dampening panels would go a long way. Still, highly recommended.
A good local French bistro that you would visit for a general dinning experience. Confit Canard was excellent.
Perhaps our expectations were too high. The menu was limited, but attractive, a good range and authentically named - the wine list, similarly so. Whilst the service was very good, authenticity fell apart when food arrived. The food was French in name and ingredients only. The souffle was not a souffle, the main courses lacked herbal zest, the vacherin was not a proper vacherin.
Specifically, the souffles were more like a quiche in a runny cheese sauce, the lamb stew was very poorly trimmed and lacked flavour, the duck was overcooked, stringy and without any semblance of crisp in the skin. The creme brulee was cold and had no crunch on top. The vacherin was an ice cream meringue sandwich. It is the only French restaurant we have ever been to where a crusty bread roll was not served!
Though the food was edible, it was not special and did not live up to the advertising, the ambiance, the service or the price!! Very disappointing.
At very short notice the restaurant accomodated a table of 8 with smooth service and excellent food. A superlative experience.
My sister was visiting from WA, however we both were disappointed in the evening.
The entrees we chose, Souffle which I have to assume was heated, and scallops overdone.
The desserts also disappointing.
I was absolutely stunned by the wonderful tasty food, but I did not like the French speaking waiter, . We I thought that was too much. We could not understand what she was telling
us . Keep iN mind that your business is in Sydney, Australia and not in France .
Lovely French food 💕
Fantastic Secret sauce
Even better desserts
The back of the restaurant lacks a bit of atmosphere.
This restaurant is far too noisy which for our group of three - even though we sat in a more isolated area - detracted from the overall experience.
My glass of red though ( much needed - to deaden the loud surroundings after a busy day)was excellent!
The main courses were also very good and the service, though rushed, was efficient.
For dessert two of us had the soufflé which looked delicious but was too sweet for my taste.
The prices were pretty standard for food of good quality.
So - overall - a questionable experience BUT if a solution could be found to deal with the excessive noise ( and having asked around I find I am not alone in this criticism) I would happily recommend this Upper North Shore venue to friends.
Brasserie l'Entrecôte is a beautiful medium sized restaurant, with great food, wine and drinks to boot.
The menu is quite authentically French in more way than one. The layout suggest specialty dishes for each weeknight. Duck is featured a plenty. The beef tartare is fantatic, great flavour, and the meat was tender. The drinks feature both wines and native French cocktails in art decor glasses.
The ambiance of the restaurant is spot on, a warm glow with plenty of wooden furniture. The wait staff all had french/foreign accents to make you feel like you're visiting a restaurant in eastern Europe.
Value: about $155 for two people, 3 course, with simple wine/cocktail.
Will visit again!
The restaurant doesn't try hard to be authentic French.............it is authentic French, from the menu to the wait staff. Familiar flavours on the palate bring back memories of being in a Paris bistro at lunch time taking the quick (about an hour and a half) lunch break before returning to the office. Perhaps the only improvement to be made is to add a chicken dish to the list of mains. Pretty much everything else is covered from a meat and fish perspective.
Lovely night, food was excellent, service good, friendly and well trained staff. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere.
We were welcomed t the door and offered a choice of tables. Service was quick but nit rushed. Food was very authentic French cuisine and most enjoyable. Going back in two weeks time
We had a lovely meal - our only complaint is that the service was very quick leaving not much time to chat in between courses. We will be back
Particularly enjoyed the appetisers and the desserts. Wait staff were extremely polite and attentive. Would like to try the brunch menu. We wish them all the best.
Delicious meal. I'm not really a dessert person but the dessert offerings were irresistible.
