   We were celebrating a special event and when we arrived the restaurant was empty. They sat us at a table facing the kitchen entrance when there were many other better locations. By the time we left they were still only a quarter full. The service was good but the recommendations about the menu were a miss. The food was fine but nothing that would draw us to come back given the price point.

   Had a wonderful date night at Braven! Our waiter, Nick, was very knowledgeable, helpful, energetic and had awesome recomendations and pairings. We ordered the brussel sprouts, the steak tartare, the charred cauliflower and the miso & rum cod; ALL of which we would order again and/or recommend to anyone wanting to give Braven a try. I heard about it from a friend, and will definitely be sending mine in that direction as well.

   We celebrated our wedding anniversary with an amazing dinner at Braven. We did have to wait about 10 minutes for our reserved table (seemed weird as the restaurant was not full) and were seated at a table set for 4 (although there were only 2 of us). It was louder than I had anticipated for a high end restaurant but the service was top notch and the food was delicious. I had Black Cod with miso, mushrooms and charred cabbage - a delightful mix of flavours and textures. My husband had melt in your mouth short ribs with chive mashed potato and crunchy green beans. We started with the seared scallops and found them to be spicy and very satisfying. The food was presented nicely, the wine list was nice and we felt very welcome.

   Service was lovely, our waiter was amazing. Had a little trouble with our steak. Asked for Blue but received mostly medium rare, they graciously took it back and made another one but this also was not blue but was a little closer.

   Upon arriving to this restaurant, we were pleasantly welcomed by the friendly hotel front desk staff. There was no sign visible from the street though, so we were unsure of where to go. The restaurant was very cozy, clean, modern decor and very few diners. The prices on the menu were a shock, as they were really pricey but when the food arrived, we queried our shock at the prices. Every single item on our plates was extremely tasty. We had a sharable plate, drinks and dessert. I highly recommend this place for a special quiet occasion/celebration. It cannot be done on a regular basis with middle class pockets :)

   Have been to Braven several times, every single time I am very pleased with our choice. The ambiance of the JW as a whole to the restaurant itself, overall a great experience. Food is incredible but one of my favourite parts is the mature and professional servers who genuinely enjoy providing guests with a true culinary experience. Will be back again, the sooner the better!

    This is our usual to go Resturant for fine dining. It is an amazing restaurant with great unmatched services. It won’t be wrong if I say it is the best Resturant in Alberta and none of the Resturant’s is even closer to it. Food served here is a pice of art and cooked with great care especially the steaks. Management and Geeta are a gem to this Resturant and add a value to the warm welcome you get till they see you off. I wish there were more fine dining restaurants like this but I cannot imagine to get the same services in any other Resturant. This Resturant staff and management needs a great appreciation !

    The quality of this restaurant deserves the respect from its patrons. It's much too nice for bratty kids, and base ball caps. Enforce a dress code. This beautiful place, fabulous food and amazing staff ( Jordan was our server) can easliy handle it. DT Edmonton is begging for more fine dining atmosphere.

    We spent almost $1000 for four. We had to ask for refills in water, and didn’t get asked how our meal was. Food was tasty but warm, not hot. I have been several times before and loved it. I was very disappointed this time and won’t be back soon.

    I do not recommend Braven. The quality of steaks are on par with the Keg but twice the price. The desserts are the kind of thing you would find at Boston Pizza across the street. The service was very good, but the food quality is not what it is billed to be. Braven seemed more like a bar that serves food than a restaurant. Drunk patrons hooting and hollering across the restaurant. Very noisy. Not at all classy.

    The restaurant needs to have a basic dress code. It’s one of the most expensive places in Edmonton yet guys were dressed in old blue jeans, t-shirts and baseball caps. It tries to be a high end restaurant yet it falls short. Food is good with excellent service it’s just not a five star restaurant.
