Last evening, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Braven, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. It was the perfect choice for our staycation dinner, offering a delightful break from the everyday. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the ribeye. Cooked to absolute perfection, it was a masterclass in how a steak should be prepared. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavor and tenderness, making it a memorable dish that I would highly recommend to any steak connoisseur. My wife chose the bolognaise, and it was a revelation. The dish was rich, flavorful, and cooked with a level of care and attention that transformed a classic into something extraordinary. It was, as she described, "delicious," which, coming from her, is high praise indeed. But what truly set Braven apart was the service. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with a warmth and attentiveness that made our dining experience feel special. Mel was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The impeccable service, coupled with culinary excellence, made for an unforgettable evening. We arrived at the front desk and we were not in the system as having a reservation, the lady at the front desk had asked much personality as the desk she was standing at, the level of accommodation for a place that was extremely slow was ridiculous, we are after spending thousands of dollars at this establishment for business and personal but I will never step foot in Braven again after that ignorant experience!

Management of reservations is poor. Several customers including us, we left waiting again for 20 mins with reservations. With a concert, timing for dinner was important. Food was above average. Table service actually pretty good. Bad first impression.

We started with the seared scallops, they were enough to share for two people saving room for dessert. They were fantastic. I had the flat iron and the short ribs. I expected the short ribs to be served on mashed potatoes but they were served on beans, a nice change! My flat iron was ordered medium rare and was more on the rare side, however that is how I like it but my wife wouldn’t try it with how rare it was. We finished with the carrot cake which was probably one of the best we’ve had. Karen, our server, had recommended this and we truly appreciated her guidance through our dining experience.

First visit and had high expectations from friends. Was told about the old fashioned being actively smoked on arrival at the table. Didn’t happen. Another table’s appetizer arrived at our table and sat for five minutes before being picked up and taken to the appropriate table. When I used to work in restaurant industry this was an absolute no-no. You would never redirect a food item to another table if it was mistakenly delivered to another table. Also inappropriate in today’s day and age I would think given all the concern about viruses. A similar thing happened with an incorrect delivery of wine to our table. It was however redirected as soon as it was placed. Our server was very good. The food was good but not incredible. Exceptionally overpriced at $210 for a couple with a shared app, two cocktails, two entrees and a shared dessert.

Good location, but finding the entrance in the hotel was a little confusing at first. Good ambience, cozy and intimate, and a good place to go out with a small group of people. Food was delicious, however it would be great for servers to inform visitors that their steaks and sides are meant to be shared, or say it on the menu. My group did find the place quite pricey for the portion of food you get on a plate.

Our server Karen was fantastic!!! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. She had great drink recommendations and made our first experience at Braven incredibly enjoyable. The charred duck breast was cooked perfectly, we had some of the best scallops I’ve ever eaten and the rib eye was melt in your mouth good! It’s pricey but totally worth it.

Everything was quite good. Music could be turned down a bit. Food wise, short rib was excellent. Ordered the gnocchi and was happy that they could accommodate no eggplant for me. However. The gnocchi itself was more like little blobs of fried mashed potatoes and not at all like a potato pasta. Desert was excellent and the service was outstanding.

Unfortunately we were disappointed, we’re very excited about our reservation. We had booked two tables as the system would not accommodate our party of 8. When we arrived and through out our time in the restaurant was only about a 1/4 full. We asked to be seated close together but said the restaurant was too busy to accommodate?? One table was served very quickly and one was waiting for everything, had to ask for coffee refills and two meals came out burn, sausage was black and bottom to flat beard was also black. Very disappointing

Our go to place in Edmonton, the food is always consistently awesome, and you can tell the staff enjoy working there, which always says something about a place. The ahi tuna, mushrooms, jalapeño cornbread, ribeye steak, all rock. Great to sit at the rail and watch the seat happen!

I was at Braven for their Thanksgiving dinner. I was looking forward to dining on carrot & ginger soup, mushroom tortellini, roast turkey and pumpkin coffee cake with a glass of pinot noir. Unfortunately they were out of tortellini, turkey and pinot noir. A substitute wine was poured, I had risotto instead of tortellini, and they ended up serving turkey even though I would have ordered roast chicken. Apart from the risotto (which was tasteless), the food was good. However, the restaurant's disorganization over a Thanksgiving dinner that cost me $110 had left a sour taste in my mouth. I may return to Braven but not for a while.
