We went to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary! We had excellent service. Fod was delicious! Loved the ambiance!!
We have been to this location maybe 8 times and it has always been excellent. Today was off. The steak was very underwhelming. There was no sear, not much seasoning, the temperature was warm to almost cold(not hot) and the steak was very raw(ordered medium). I’m sure we will be back but for the price paid the steak was very disappointing.
It was my birthday and the ambiance was most enjoyed. Food portions were just enough. Great experience definitely coming back.
1st class all the way
Had a great birthday celebration. Service was amazing, food was delicious. Highly recommend for special occasions.
Where Fantasy's Begin And Never End
I can't think of a better place to relax, unwind and enjoy a most superb dinner with my wife. Brenner's provided a very special and tranquil environment for my wife and I to reconnect after being separated by work all week long. We were both blown away by the ambiance that transcends us to another exotic place you would only expect to have traveling abroad in a tropical fantasy. Take the trip to Brenner's and you find that they effortlessly surpass all of your expectations.

Steak was tough and difficult to chew. We asked for a quiet table and we’re placed in an area with so much noise we could not have a quiet conversation. Paid a bill of over $400 for three and then had to pay extra for parking.
We finished off the 2021 HRW here. Amazing server, fantastic food. Great view and ambiance.
My husband and I just moved from Chicago and we were seeking restaurants with great food and beautiful ambiance. We have had visitors most weekends from Chicago and Brenner’s is our #1 choice for a beautiful evening out.
The waiter seemed inexperienced and was rude. I don't think he meant to be, but he was. The food was meh.
Food was great but there was too many flies in the window pane so we had to move.
We had reservations and were seated promptly. We ordered drinks and went ahead and ordered our food with the drinks because we already knew what we wanted. After finishing our drinks 30 min ago, I went to the bar to check the status of our food. My wife and I noticed that customers that were seated after us had already received their food and more food was being brought out to other customers that arrived after us. I told the manager we were leaving. He went to the kitchen, 15 min later, our food came out and he comped the bill for the wait. Understaffed to sat the least.
We had a fabulous brunch. The food was prepared very well. It was delicious but the servings were rather small. I. Not a big eater, either.
Our waiter, Max, was fantastic. He was so attentive and polite. The manager came by to wish our birthday girl a special day.
Excellent dining experience. Great food, drink, awesome venue. Noise level was painful!! They need to turn the 'music' way, way down. Enough ambient noise without introducing extra.
The waitress Megan was OUTSTANDING‼️ We visited from out of town and she made the first time visit an awesome experience. And she knew the menu and selections very well. Highly recommend to my friends and family. ❤️
We are NOT going there again because of mediocre food, poor service, wildly noisy for an overall bad experience.
We went for our anniversary. It did not disappoint. Food and decor was fantastic. Service was off the charts great!
it was amazing. the service the staff the food the drinks. everything was wonderful thank you all for making my birthday dinner so wonderful
Wedding dinner and. Bday celebration
Amazing service and food as always! The steaks were cooked perfectly and the service was great.
The ambiance was great! The bang bang shrimp was good but everything else was bad.
We ordered from the Houston Restaurants Week menu and both got the filet. It tasted nothing like a filet and was brown rather than pink in the middle and it wasn't because it was overcooked. They were both med. rare. Very dissappointing anniversary dinner. We told our waiter about the meat and he just offered to cook it more. We definitely won't be going back.
Everything was absolutely delicious. Our server Austin, was amazing. We were on the bottom floor, the kind of cave like area, and the view was gorgeous, however, it was a little too dark. I understand its for the ambience but when I sat down, I sat on a checkbook and a black square tray that I did not notice as I took the seat that was opened for me. Everything else was perfect.
Such a relaxing atmosphere all around great place for date night
Table Service was superb.
Food was really quite good all around.
Great wine list.
Several restaurant-level snafus.
We valet parked because no non-valet spots available. Gave phone number and told a text would arrive. No text…
My 15 y.o. son was told by host he could not wear a hoodie. Solid brown Prana with no printing/words. We tucked it in at the neck. Chafe.
Dining room pretty loud depending on other guests’ voices and quite dark, other guests waving phone lights around so they could see their menus or checks. Us too with the phone lights.
Waitstaff/service at the table by Brandon (and others) was really top notch at every single turn of events.
Dinner is over, approach valet. No text, and they can’t find keys. Keys on a hook board, keys on the ground in the shack. I told him make and model, and they hand me keys for a different make of car. I realize I have no claim check or evidence that I ever gave them my car. Chafe. Finally the keys are located and we are, happily, on our way.
But the food was very good and the service was simply great.
Everything was perfect. The waitress Mandy was very knowledgeable of the menu. We went by everything she advised and it was probably the best meal we have ever had. I loved the ambiance, it was over all a great experience.
Food is always great and so is service. We love the venue as well -- such a pretty setting.
The entire ambience was beautiful and definitely a place to go to enjoy happy hour. The server was good, except a little slow towards the end when we waited like 35 minutes just for dessert to arrive to the table.
Foods I would suggest are the Bang Bang Shrimp during happy hour and the margarita. Also, the brownie sundae was worth the wait. I wanted to try them for HRW and honestly the steak was edible, but lacked flavor, especially on the potatoes & spinach. If that is your style, I completely understand, just wished a good cut of meat was seasoned more. Also, the truffle butter enhancement was pretty good.
I would go again, but solely for the view & happy hour.
We took my mom for her birthday and missed our reservation and had to be seated on the patio. We were really bummed. Luckily when we got there there was seating avail on the patio. It was raining but the patio was covered so we did not get wet. The bartenders on the patio were awesome. Very nice and very attentive. Food was fantastic.
i had reservation but the host did not give us seat until after 20 mins but the customer behind us on the line got the seat right away. the lady host was not friendly and we felt discriminated. i asked for near the window because it’s my son’s birthday and he would enjoy the scenery but told us it was reserved(if i knew i would’ve reserved near the window but it’s our first time there) until after we finished for 2 hours nobody came on the seat. i expected so much because my friends told me that i will love the experience in this restaurant. prior to coming they told us to wear business-casual attire but more than half of customers were not wearing the required dress code. the server is good though but i just felt that if we are not asian they would be more welcoming to us. that’s just how i felt. we atleast enjoyed the scenery outside.
It’s a lovely venue with interesting terrain and a charming building. The grounds are lovely. Only problem was the steak wasn’t very good. It was tough and had a lot of gristle. Not what you’d expect at these prices.
Great food, amazing service, and even better ambience. 10/10 would recommend.
Decent experience extremely scenic , just would never pay $150 for a lobster tail again 😂
The ambiance was amazing for a special occasion dinner. Starting with drinks very good. Appetizers were ok. Ordered the Texas Quail (rubbery texture), crab cakes (not worth it) and truffle fries (soaked in oil). For the main course we ordered the roasted chicken plate and the Akaushi Ribeye with Oscar topping. The chicken wasn’t juicy, the only flavor from the chicken was from the chicken skin. The steak was mid, cooked perfectly but wasn’t mouth watering. We could’ve held off on the “special topping.” Also paying 30 dollars for the lobster Mac and cheese?? Eh definitely won’t get it again. Maybe I was expecting more of the place by the reviews and word my mouth from friends that have been. Would I come back? Not any time soon.
I have been coming here for Houston Restaurant Week for years and this is the first time I decided to write a review because it was a terrible experience. First of all, we were standing by the front receptionist for almost ten minutes waiting for the manager to decide where to seat us Bc we were under dressed. I honestly almost wanted to just walk out but I made the reservation almost three weeks ago and I wanted my family to try this place. We were finally seated outside on the patio, waited for almost 15 minutes to place our order. I looked around and all of the waiters and waitresses look very sloppy and messy - greasy and messy hair, which really shows the classy experience you will receive if you dine inside versus sitting out on the patio.
First course: The salad was okay, I asked the waiter if there is any cheese in my salad Bc if there is I want to request none, the waiter says no - but there was oh and the lobster bisque was extremely salty.
Second course: the pork chop was what I looked forward to, and it was alright - the sides were eh..
My sister's jumbo shrimp was over cooked, all 3 of them.
Third course: the dessert was the best part.
As we were eating dessert, I see the customers next table eating bread with butter and I asked the waiter where was our bread when we were waiting for our first course, he said "it's by request only"...really? We are eating at a steak house and we have to request bread? That's hilarious.
I attached photos of the pork chop that I ordered from years ago, the sides look worse and worse - this year was just a bunch of corn bread crumbs.
Perfect ambiance and service.
The location is beautiful and the food is always good. The service is normally great as well. This time, perhaps because they were busy, the service was okay, but not great. The server didn't even give his name, so it was difficult to get his attention when we needed something. The management is always so nice and positive!
Amazing !!! We will be back !!!
My boyfriend and I both got sick from the lobster bisque.
