We were in NOTL for a weekend getaway, my fiancé and myself. We choose Bricks and Barley for dinner. The place was busy but by no means slammed. Once seated at 8:30.. it took 25 minutes to get recognized and have our drink order processed. There’s just no reason for that.. especially when there’s waitresses in the area that at times made eye contact and did nothing. It really sets the tone for what should be a nice evening out. There was no list of beers on the menu, they were listed on a chalkboard out of sight and the server had to go take a picture with her phone and bring it back to the table.. getto. Shout out to the chefs in the back, the food was really nice and flavourful. Thank you We will definitely think twice before returning simply based off the service experience.

I did not liked the service and to be honest the food was not the best either ,those fried pickles were not good ,usually I order steak sub ,but lately it’s not the same bun they use , so last night I had chicken with fries ,the chicken was extremely dry and the potatoes were cold ,sorry

Upon arrival we were led to a table in the center of the restaurant. As I am partially deaf it helps me alot to have my back to a wall with no one behind me. We asked to be moved and the server gave us the perfect table right away. Server was polite and calm...for a busy day, it being st. Patricks day she managed her tables well and went out of her way to make our anniversary special. Food was amazing. Awesome portion sizes and very reasonable prices for great food. Definitely returning!

Above average food, attentive/pleasant waiters, and a bit noisy for my waning hearing . . . however, it was a a positive experience for my youngish, 40ish guest, so won't complain. Looks like there may be an outside eating area for warmer weather, so I'll be back then.

Last time we were here it was much better This time the hostess (long black hair) was rude and her behavior tainted the whole experience food was okay and our waitress was good but that front end girl was just awful to be honest - we should've just gone to 5 guys sane quality but with better staff and a fraction of the price

The food wasn’t what we are used to, chicken tenders dry, fries really over cooked, meatballs were overloaded with spices. We will be back as we have a celiac person in the house but hopefully next visit will be a little better. I do understand everything is personal preference and this was ours in regards to our visit.

My meal was almost uneatable. My guess would be that the fish was reheated more than once. The batter was extremely hard and the fish inside was dried out to the point of rubber. On the other hand my wife's meal was fairly good and the waitress saved the day for brick and barley.... she was really nice and helpful.

Good food, especially for pple with gluten allergies. They have a separate fryer, knowledgeable staff. The fish and chips were excellent! Casual atmosphere, sports on the many TVs, pple playing board games. Nice place!

Excellent service. Large portions all around. Food tasted great. Chicken wings for my liking were just a little undercooked could be slightly crispier. Everything came out in a timely manner. Great atmosphere. Great place to watch the game. Lots of TVs. The only minor issue was every time the outside door opened there was a cold draft that came in other wise an excellent night out.

We were introduced to Bricks and Barley in 2021. It is now our favourite place to go with family, friends, and area tours, when we are in the Niagara region. Make a reservation...as your only disappointment will be not getting a table.
