The view is stunning on the patio, but that’s really all that was worth the visit. The service was below par, staff felt pretty apathetic and didn’t really care about being friendly… and we were dining for a Birthday celebration. They seemed more interested in rushing us to pay for the bill, before we even had the chance to look at it, or get our credit cards ready.
The food was also lacking in flavour, which was surprising, since I’ve had good meals at Bridges in the past.
Must admit, we were disappointed.
Service was terrible. Food was sub-standard.Local good.
Great patio to grab brunch on a beautiful sunny day!
We had a wonderful time at one of the best tables on the patio! Great service, delicious good and drinks, and a stunning view!
Still one of the best patio experiences in Vancouver
Love that Seafood Caesar Salad! Went nice with the Parkside Hazy IPA
Not nearly as good as it used to be, food wise. My husband and I both ordered the cioppino and his piece of fish was twice the size of mine. I was okay with that, though, because it wasn’t terribly tasty. A meh meal that was saved by the very friendly wait staff.
I remember Bridges being classier (they even have a dress code). Based on this, I thought this would be a great place to take my mom for her birthday. However, the atmosphere is now more pub style. I would still enjoy that, but not for a nicer event. The calamari and halibut ciopinno was definitely not worth the price. The portions were meagre and we were hungry after. But I saw dishes at other tables like the burger and fish n chips that looked great and likely better value. Overall I would try Bridges again for casual dining, and ordering something else.
Our server was excellent! Very attentive. The fish and chips were really good.
Truffle burger amazing! Loved the poke bowl too!
My sister & I had the poke bowl, both loved it and the fresh air, great setting & views, and the service were perfect …… unobtrusive yet attentive.
Service was extremely bad. Had to wait 10 minutes at table for a waiter and finally had to ask a server to get someone so we could order wine. Waited 20 minutes after drinks wine was served and again finally had to catch the waiter and ask if we could order. would not return.
Loved everything about it.
Great location! Lots to watch on a sunny day!
Food is Pricey, given presentation!
Allow yourself time to enjoy the location!
Server came and asked if we were ready to order and we said we needed a few more minutes and she took off without asking if we wanted at least drinks. She came back a while later to take our food and drink order at once. Food was served to two of us of a party of four. We had to wait another good five minutes to receive the other two plates. My steak was cooked medium well when I had asked medium rare. I didn't mention it as I don't like to waste food. All in all our experience was just ok.
Beautiful night at Bridges, view is always spectacular! Had the salmon, and very delicious and the flatbread also very good.
Great dinner with amazing view! Will come back definitely.
The food, service and view were amazing!!!!
I would highly recommend this restaurant.
My husband and I were very disappointed of this restaurant. Our food was extremely overprice for the value. My hot seafood salad had brown pieces of lettuces and only 3 very small pieces of salmon for $27. My husband had the halibut and the tomato broth it was served in, tasted like it was from a can. Overall we weren't happy with the dinner and we won't be back.
Excellent food, outstanding service and beautiful ambiance!!
Great patio and service. Thank you, Bridges!
The service was little slow getting started. Once they got organized our server was great.
The food was good, very good for essentially pub food. (not fine dining)
tuna poke bowl is rave worthy and my friend enjoyed her fish and chips
Excellent for a warm summer evening; lots of fun to see the aqua-cycles, SUPs, kayaks and sailboats bobbing around. Service was attentive and the PokeBowl was outstanding; reasonable value for money and good selection of draft beers. We will return!
The environment was great, food was cold, could have had more umbrellas up, women's bathroom.was disgusting ( smelly, no paper towels, paper all over the floor. Server was great.
The food was very underwhelming - the pasta dish specifically, had no flavour to it and the seafood was very overcooked.
The halibut, seafood linguini and all pizzas were unavailable. There were also a great deal of mosquitos so we had to move inside. However, the meals were tasteful (tuna burger and wild sockeye salmon) and the staff were accommodating to us moving back inside.
Was a first time guest. On her birthday. Notes were in the rezo. Not a word not a mention not a birthday feeling. Bummer
Belle petite terrasse
Had dinner last night on the patio. My hubby and I shared the prawn pesto pizza and each had the hot seafood salad, very refreshing on a hot day. Both yummy and will have us come back. Tanya our server was very good.
Great ambiance… I little pricey for the food and alcohol.
Awesome service, fast, good food
Service was very slow, and not much attention to our table from the server. I wouldn’t say it was extremely busy either, so it was surprising that we didn’t see more of our server.
Always pleased with food, service and outdoor ambience whether for Happy Hour or brunch. So glad that Bridges accepts reservations at any time for the patio
Staff were very polite, however service was slow and food came all at once so my main was kinda cold by the time I finished my salad. Food was quite bland had very little flavour to it. Brownie was actually just chocolate cake it too was very bland gelato was good but by the time they brought it too me it had started to melt. Alcohol Drinks tasted bland as well watery fruit infused water at best. Everything did look very appealing but fell short on taste unfortunately.
Was disappointed in the quality of the food for an expensive meal.
I ordered shrimp and lobster linguine but only got a few bits of lobster…the pasta and sauce was bland and not much sauce.
I ask them to take it back and they did. I ordered a tuna burger which was OK with a Caesar salad and when the burger came it came with a regular salad. The waitress insisted on bringing me a Caesar salad but I was so hungry that I said no thanks.
The staff were friendly and courteous.
Ceasars salad was watery - very little dressing / flavor
For starter, Granville Island is one of my most fave places in the city. Second, Bridges is probably one of my fave restaurants there. Third, every time I have out-of-town visitors, I love taking them here. So far, nothing but good experience, from food to service. Most importantly, nothing beats that view.
A great place to go for a snack and some drinks but very disappointing for dinner. Can’t beat that view though.
Unfortunately, when I made a reservation, I presumed we would be on the upstairs deck. When we arrived, they said that part of the restaurant was not open until later in the week. This should have been clarified at reservation time. The staff here is clearly unhappy and disinterested, the food is expensive for the quality and quantity. When 2 of us rec'd our meals, we asked for cutlery and napkins and I could see one waitperson make some snide comment to the one who mentioned it to her, as if it was stupid of us to ask. Why weren't those given out before the meal? Napkins should have arrived with our cocktail - at least the cocktail size. If this restaurant wasn't next to the water, I would think and hope it would be long gone. If you don't care how things taste or what they cost, it might be fine for a quick mid-day stop.
The halibut fish was very dry as though it had been frozen for a long time or over-cooked or both. Chips were good and the batter was nice and crispy.
