We dined for lunch yesterday and enjoyed our favorite shrimp and crab cobb salad. It never disappoints. We were lucky enough to get a table for two outside right on the water. It could have been a little cool but the overhead heater kept us warm. Beautiful day to dine outside with excellent service and scenery.

Loved the place, the vibe, and the ocean bay views. The Clam chowder was really good, the salad was very small and the fish and chips was at best meh!! It was fish sticks, and was chewy. Not flaky at all. Such a bummer. Would go back for happy hour and that’s about it.

We wanted to sit by the water and have god seafood. Well we got both. Our server Omar made great recommendations and was fun. Bloody Mary’s were spot on I had to have two. Oysters were very fresh and tasted wonderful. I wish we were staying longer so I could go back for dinner. I can only imagine how wonderful dinner service would have been

The noise level was fine when we got there, but then they seated a large party next to us which were extremely noisy not to mention small children who get restless. Needless to say we were not even able to hear our own conversation because they were so noisy. Maybe you guys should set up a special area for large party so that they don’t disturb other people as much.

It was our first time there and our experience wasn’t the best. We were seated and waited about 12 min for someone to come get our order. The waitress didn’t even know that the table we were sitting in was hers. If there was a mix up the manager or the waitress could’ve told us the situation and we could’ve been more understanding but no apology. The plate was hot but my food was not hot. I don’t think that I would go again if I’m paying $200+ I would like better service.

I eat here often for work and pleasure! The food is amazing, service is great! This time I noticed more of a manager presence. He came by the table to ask how everything was and worked the room to make sure all tables were good! The views of the bay are amazing and the cocktails very tasty! I highly recommend!

Great day to be at the Brigantine. Your seafood cobb salad is always so delicious and we had the best server. Aaron did a fab job of keeping of coffee cups full and checking in with us to make sure everything was good.

This is a beautiful restaurant right on the water. Upstairs they have a beautiful large bar area. The food was excellent and the service from Jay wast outstanding. I live in LA but come to San Diego four times a year. Each time i always make reservations to eat here.

My wife and I ate here last night for our one year marriage anniversary. Mario was our server and he was so thoughtful and helpful. He gave us recommendations for apps, entrees, and wine and ALL was phenomenal. We were sat outside right along the water and got to enjoy a gorgeous view. They also brought out some crime brûlée which was also incredible. I won’t admit how quickly we ate it, but let’s just say it was delicious! I’d say this is a great place to go for a nice meal on a special occasion.

My experience was great! We were seated quickly and was lucky to get a fantastic view! Our host Lindsey was awesome!! Great attitude and very knowledgeable. The food was fantastic! Loved my salmon and the dessert!! Oh my god! Sooo good best crème brûlée definitely coming back!

As always, we had a good evening. Great service, and excellent ambience. We did not have to wait for a long time to get a table; something that has happened in the past even with reservation. Some of the people near our table were a bit loud; that's understandable given that it was Mothers Day.

I've eaten at the Brigantine Restaurants in Del Mar, La Mesa, Coronado and Point Loma/Shelter Island. Without exception, the food has always been delicious and the service has always been courteous and efficient, until our visit at Brigantine Portside Pier and James, our server, at 4pm yesterday, Mother's Day. I was sitting at an outside table with my wife when James dropped by (finally), looked at both of us, and asked me if I was taking my mother to dinner for Mother's Day. My wife is hardly my mother. After being served, I excused myself to use the restroom. Unfortunately, the outside door was locked barring my entry to the restaurant interior. James was a mere ten feet away chatting with a customer and never acknowledged me but the customer did and told James to open the door for me. After dropping off our check, James said he'd be right back to collect. We never saw him again so I left payment and a tip (not for James but for those who served our orders and bussed our table). Brigantine was an overall great experience. Started with the crab and shrimp fondue, which was amazing. The two of us shared the fish tacos and the fish and chips which were very good, and finished with the amazing creme brulee. Over $20 for a glass of wine is a lot, but it was a good pour and everything else was reasonably priced.

Was promptly seated at our reservation time. We had amazing seats outside that overlooked the bay. Our server was was very good about checking in on us just enough for excellent service but not bothersome. Food was amazing and would definitely recommend this for date night.
