Service is spotty, waitresses staff were confrontational when were asked politely to close door behind the table as it was cold and windy. staff had another door to use they just chose to not use it instead not recommended to return quality of food is average not worth the hassle

Beautiful dinner at the Brig. was a little noisy but several large groups were enjoying themselves, so that may have added to it. Wasn’t that big of a deal. Veronica was our server, and she was amazing! She was very knowledgeable about the dishes and offering suggestions that we might like. She allowed us to make a few minor changes to some of the dishes, such as no bacon on the scallops. Overall, we had an awesome dinner and we’re so happy that we took our friends there who had never been to San Diego before. The dinner, and the view was perfect.

Ordered appetizers. Appetizers arrived quickly. Only got chance to eat one oyster when our entrees arrived. Server was great and very apologetic. She took them back. We finished our appetizers and she asked if she could put entree order in. I asked if we would get new entrees or if original plates have been sitting in a warmer. She said no, it would be new plating. Food came out quickly and it was obviously the same plates (I had taken pics of original plates). Risotto was cold. Fish was rubber. Ended up sending it all back. The was the kitchen’s fault, not the server. She was great. Manager was apologetic and made things right for us. Generally a poor experience, but we will come back for a second chance b

Birthday. The first placement for seating was inside. That was OK, but I had requested a window seat with a view. The inside where we were was far from the windows. But it was right next to another large room that had open doors. It was like a wind tunnel of cold, chilly air. And the staff was constantly walking through that doorway , which made it fairly busy at our table. The waitress was kind to offer us something else as far as seating went. We declined for a while, but then it simply got too chilly. We asked to move to another table, which was just one table away, our request was granted, and it was good no more wind tunnel. I have a feeling that the staff knew about this table being part of a wind tunnel. And it was because of my feeling of this, I felt that the staff sat us there OK, I got feeling that front staff thought we would not be the type of person to ask for another space. I think staff was very cognizant that that seat was not a good choice for anyone. And that it was probably a strategy to fill the restaurant. Other than that… Everything was good.

The ambiance is wonderful. We were seated at a lovely outdoor corner table with a nice view. Our server was excellent and knowledgeable of the food and drink menus. We ordered appetizers including calamari, crab cake and oysters. The calamari is always excellent and a favorite. The crab cake I would not order again, it seemed undercooked and more filler than crab. The oysters were good minus the missing oyster in the shell. We had to point that out to the server and they brought us another one. Cocktails were good but overpriced in my opinion. The meal was excellent and complimentary birthday crème brûlée was so good. Overall, a wonderful birthday dinner.

Nice indoor window table with great view of the bay. Table with open table reservation was ready when we arrived. Server was fast, efficient, and friendly. Fish and chips for lunch was excellent. Great crispy batter with real cod. Service was super fast in bringing our food. This was a Thursday at 1:30 so restaurant was busy but not crazy. Weekends are probably a little crazy in this popular location at the embarcadero. Parking could be a challenge also.

The food was quite alright and the service wasn’t bad either…overall. Our server was assigned another huge party which took away from us getting the timely service that we were afforded prior to the big party’s arrival. One big annoyance was the outrageous charges of splitting plates at $4 for each item. No military discount either while many other restaurants have no problem doing that.

We had an amazing seat to start on the patio, unfortunately the heater wasn't working, but were quickly relocated. It was a great environment for our date. Lindsay was an awesome server, with great recommendations and attentiveness to our needs. The food was awesomely delicious. I would definitely head back here in the future.

Fantastic food, service and views! Top notch place to take out of Town visitors. The views of the harbor and sunset are spectacular. As well, it’s half off bottles of wine on Wednesdays.

The food was amazingly tasty; I chose the Crab Stuffed Shrimp! They serve generous portions! The service, on the contrary, was "subpar"! The hostess kept trying to seat me other than where I wanted (outside in the sun); it took a while to get my order in! Then the server was slow to attend my table! It was lunchtime; maybe, later in the day or early evening is better! I'll go back for the food and ambiance, tho!!

The food was exceptional and our table was right on the bay. Service was prompt and accurate. The roasted Brussels sprouts were the best we ever had. The special for the night was a halibut dish and it was delicious.

Food was good. Had an out of town guest and was disappointed not to be sat in the main dining room but rather at a bar table that was crooked and had no service on it, just an empty table. I had made a reservation a week well in advance. Service was good but our appetizer dish (calamari) seemed minuscule, not well plated (presentation looked sloppy) and dirty in 3 areas with cocktail sauce which could have been easily wiped off before presenting to the table. This may seem petty but it’s all about the dining experience. Other than that my ahi well over exceeded my expectations.

Excellent view, that's the main selling point. Crab cakes were the best; they had very fine crumbs giving a soft texture. Oysters were good, but there was no selection of varieties that you'd expect in an oyster house. The other seafood options were standard fare. We had a cobb salad with pretty bland crab and shrimp. Good, but not exciting.

We had the best time celebrating our anniversary here! The entire staff was amazing! Hosts, bartenders, runners and bussers were so nice and accommodating! Our servers was so sweet and incredibly knowledgeable! The food and drinks were delicious! We can’t wait to come back soon!
