    The restaurant was located in downtown New Orleans , often with convenient parking nearby. I was immediately greeted by a friendly and patient waiter who assisted in helping me to select from an extensive variety of options. I chose a delicious fish dish topped with crabmeat which was well seasoned, moist, and a generous serving. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and plan to return in the very near future.

    First, they tried to stick us in a corner of the restaurant right next to a large party to where it felt like we were part of their dinner. There was plenty of other tables for us to sit at away from them. We get seated and then waited for about 20-25 minutes for anyone to come great us/get drinks ordered. Meanwhile, I notice the table next to us is being entertained by what appears to the the owner. Finally we got up to leave and I mention to the guy, I assume was the owner, that we have been waiting for 20 mins without a server, he offers us a round of drinks to stay. We reluctantly stayed, but we should have left. The food was bland, over cooked, and over priced. The server also charged us for the free round of drinks, but took care of it when mentioned. We will not be going back.

    Not a good value for the quality of the food. Our server was exceptionally poor. Left us sitting for 10 minutes before coming to get our drinks. Only offered sparkling or flat water with no mention of an additional fee. Forgot to put in our entree orders which forced us to stay way too long. Will never go back.

    We ordered prime ribeye $60. Most of it was fat. Highly uneatable. Manager came over and gave us 10% discount. Woo hoo. Service was very good. Otherwise avoid unless you like overpriced food you can’t eat.

    We absolutely loved our experience at Briquette. We ordered the seafood salad, red fish plate, and the banana pudding dessert. Our server, Jackie, was an absolute joy. He was attentive, made great recommendations, had great stories to share, and, on top of that, he spent a moment helping us plan our stay in NOLA. We shared the seafood salad, red fish, and bread pudding, all recommended by Jackie. The only thing we didn't care for was the sauce that came on the side of the bread pudding (which tasted like coffee). I could have just at the seafood salad myself and would have also been happy.

    We came here on a Friday evening after making a reservation several weeks ahead of time. (Table of 4) The food once we got it was excellent. Our server was good but stretched way to thin. He could not handle all the tables assigned to him. The restaurant was VERY loud. I like a busy, bustling place but this was too much. They could use some work on their acoustics. The food however was excellent! I cannot remember what the other couple had but my husband said it was the best pork chop he had ever had and my lamb shank was perfect!

    I went for first time going to Briquette with co-workers and we were very happy with the food. I will warn people that this was a Thursday, but they were very busy, the noise level is quite loud. That is my only complaint about this restaurant. The food and ambiance, other than noise level are all wonderful. We shared the scallops and they were lovely. I had the halibut and it was wonderful and the brussels sprouts were in a incredible sauce. One of my co-workers had the lamb shank that was so large she only ate about half. She said it was wonderful and took the other half home. My other co-worker had the blackened red fish and he ate every last bite! I will definitely be back with others for sure!

    Service was slow, server was unfriendly. Food was descent, but the tuna poke barely had any tuna in it. Extremely loud. Host people were helpful when we needed extra seats added.

    I was disappointed. The trout had more oil (butter?) than meat, the green beans were unexpectedly limp (cooked waaaay too long), the Sauv Blanc wine was watery and tasteless. The open dining area was offensively loud. Not a pleasant experience at all.

    The food was okay - the staff seemed frazzled and it wasn’t busy. When we were seated at 6:30 we were told the kitchen closes at 7 and that we needed to order quickly. Not a great experience overall.

    Overpriced! The waiter asked if he could bring out a few appetizers to wake our palates, to my surprise they were over $200 for a few dishes. The worst part of this experience we spend 4 hours here on Mother’s Day which ruined our plans for after. We spend most of our time there looking around for our waiter who would disappear for 20-25 mins a time. I had a crusted “ribeye” the most expensive dish on the menu, horrible! It definitely wasn’t a ribeye and wasn’t topped with anything. The overall ambiance of the place was beautiful. The waiter was nice when he would appear.

    We got the scallop appetizer. It was 2 scallops--not a lot for $20. The crab cake appetizer had 1 sliver of crab. It had no taste of crab. The chicken and sausage gumbo was very good. The pork porterhouse was as tough as my shoe. We had asked if we could get it without the blue cheese because we didn't like blue cheese. The waiter told us it was seared into the pork chop and took on a different flavor but yes we could. We decided to try it. It was no more seared into the pork chop--it was all fresh blue cheese sprinkled all over the pork chop. For dessert we got the bread pudding beignets and the molasses banana over french toast. Both were not good. The beignets had no flavor and the moslasses tasted burnt and it was on crustinis--no french toast. It was like eating straight up cane syrup on bananas and crackers. Overall not impressed with this restaurant and it is not inexpensive.

    First time diner here. Looked at the menu online and noted both the food and wine choices. Decided to go full seafood, with some advice on a self-defined wine pairing from the manager. Sea scallops for the starter were exquisitely prepared and beutifully complemented by a Spanish cava. After the house salad accompanied by a well balanced pinot grigio, I decided on redfish fory main coursr. The side of potatoes was too generous and a bit dry. The chardonay picked up the lemon beurre blanc sauce to perfection. The wait staff respected my request to dine at a leasurely pace. The noise level was noticeable but not obtrusive. Next time I am in the Big Easy I would return.

    We were seated and 10 minutes later we got our drinks and we never saw our server again. We waited 40 mi it’s for someone to come to our table. No one helped us and finally we told the manager we wanted the check for the drinks, paid out and left. The manager apologized and no one offered to assist us. Worst experience we ever had dining

    The scallop appetizer was amazing. The pork Porterhouse was amazing. All the fish dishes at the table were amazing. The desserts were amazing. We had so much fun with our server, Darrell and the owner, AJ Tusa! We will be back!!

    We were so looking forward to going to Briquette. Unfortunately, it was not what we hoped for. We were seated about 10-15 minutes after our reservation time which was not a big deal. But 45 minutes later (really 45 minutes!) we still did not have our drink order. The restaurant was super under-staffed. The servers were very friendly, but clearly overwhelmed. Our waiter suggested the house specialty, blackened redfish, which several in our party ordered. All of our dishes were completely over-cooked. Mine was like a brick. Everything was also very over-salted including the scallops tournedos entree. The gumbo was good and one of us had the red snapper which was also reportedly good. Everything else was underwhelming and with entrees priced at $36 - $55 the kitchen should be turning out more reliable and tasty food. Disappointing.

    This was our favorite meal in a long time! Everything we ordered was outstanding! The seafood dishes were fresh, open kitchen so you can see them being cooked. Our server Robert was great and absolutely loved the ambiance of this restaurant. Exposed brick, gas lanterns outside, we are on a Friday night around 6. We were able to take our time. I can’t say enough great things, wish this was in my State! The cocktail was amazing also!!

    We had a big party and I had made reservations ahead of time. A few people arrived late. We were told by the waiter and the host that we could only have the table for two hours. We felt very rushed. We won’t return.

    While the noise level In the restaurant made conversation difficult (even with the server), it was not enough to take away from our experience. Food was excellent (oyster casserole!) and the Ponchetrain and Fillet medallions we perfectly done. Our server, Kendrick was attentive, helpful with suggestions and an all around joy.

    Terrible experience. It was loud enough that I could barely hear my husband. It took the waiter 10 minutes to even approach the table. We ordered cocktails which didn't arrive until after the appetizers. The drinks didn't work with the appetizers so we hardly drank them. The scallop appetizer was very good and was a large portion. My husband had the gumbo which was also quite good. He ordered the blackened redfish which was good but not great. I ordered the steak and asked if it could be done black and blue. The waiter wasn't sure what that meant and had to go and ask the chef if he could do it. The chef assured him it could. I also asked for butter sauce instead of the hollandaise. When the steak arrived, it was cooked medium. I returned it and the waiter said they would cook a new one. The next one came and I never even knew if it was cooked correctly because it was covered in hollandaise sauce which I can't eat. So my dinner ended up being the scallop appetizer alone. None of this was the waiters fault although he apologized profusely. Never going back
