    Wir sind Berliner, also hörbar keine Touristen - das sei mal vorausgeschickt; waren das letzte Mal vor 30 Jahren im Kempinski und dachten, wir wären der Kaiser von China... lang ist's her. Valentinstag 2023, wir machen mal was 'Besonderes'. Bei Ankunft gähnende Leere, freie Platzwahl, Reservierung war also eigentlich unnötig. Ambiente okay. Dann kam Frage nach Getränk, Kaffee bestellt: gut aber nur lauwarm. Wollten die Sache erstmal vorsichtig angehen und bestellten EIN Ku'Damm-Frühstück: Es kam ein Teller, frisch aus dem Kühlschrank, wo er offenbar schon einige Zeit zugebracht hatte; geschmacklich waren die einzelnen Beilagen gut (auch gut miteinander verklebt) und die Gewürzgurke auf dem Schinken hatte denselben aufgeweicht. Blattwerk an Obst und Obstsalat war welk. Drei verschiedene Brötchen und eine Scheibe Brot waren ja okay, aber zwei Tüpfchen Butter dazu sind ein Witz. Unsere Vorsicht war also berechtigt. Also keine Nachbestellung. Hätte sich auch schwierig gestaltet, da die Kellnerinnen (Azubis?), weder zwischendurch nachfragten, noch sonst einen Laut von sich gaben. Beim Zahlen kam auch nicht die Frage, ob alles in Ordnung war oder dergleichen, sondern man nahm wortlos das Geld entgegen, brachte das Wechselgeld und entschwand, wiederum wortlos. Das war also das Valentinsfrühstück im Kempinski, ein Frühstück der ganz "besonderen" Art. Mein Gott, wieviel Sterne hat der Laden? Mindestens zwei zu viel! Was 30 Jahre so ausmachen...

    Ein gemütlich gediegener Treffpunkt für Gespräche. Man sitzt bequem und kann das leckere Frühstück genießen. Der Service war zuvorkommend und freundlich.
