Amazing food, service and ambiance!
So disappointed in the company 'policy' for happy hour guests having to (belly up) to the bar in order to enjoy the happy hour specials.
Party of 5 ladies who want to chat and enjoy the ambience of the establishment were somewhat upset they were not afforded the advertised specials because they were seated at a table only a few steps away from the "bar" and we were forced to pay full price for our cocktails and appetizers.
Probably will not be able to convince them to return/continue our long-standing tradition of gathering at (what once was) our favorite venue.
We truly enjoyed our dining experience at Bronze Door. The food we ordered was delicious- from appetizer to main courses and the cocktail and wine menu had a nice variety of options. Service was attentive and friendly.
I would highly recommend ordering the calamari, it is the best we’ve had in quite some time.
We will be back!
Great food and great service. A little noisy but glad to see the place hopping!
Caesar salad was good. Filet was an oddly shaped cut, some may not care, but when there is more surface area on an 8oz filet, there's more opportunity for it to be overcooked and that was the case. Flavor was ok. I was a little surprised that it wasn't better but perhaps we got them on an off night...
Great food and beautiful restaurant.
Everything was perfect! Had a great time out with my Mother.
Great food and exceptional service by Alyssa. Halibut was phenomenal!
Great menu and service. Guests' attire tends to be on the fancier side, but they're willing to accommodate kids too. Love the food!
Great food and great service! Would definitely return.
Was a delightful night out alone. Nicolas was wonderful .
This re-invention of this popular restaurant location on the Hill in Grosse Pointe Farms - was a pleasant surprise with a nod to Joe Muer's. Our server donned a short biscuit-colored jacket - reminiscent of Muers servers with short white jackets... he was attentive and helpful. The food was wonderful - the new decor is comfortable - definitely upscale but with a homey ambiance.
We loved the meal and craft cocktails. I would suggest the dinner jackets the servers wear be fitted or replaced to something more upscale. They stand out amongst the overall classic atmosphere. Definitely coming back. (The calamari was over cooked with too thick of batter) but the main courses were A+. We ordered the tequila cocktails, beef stroganoff and white fish. The fish may have been the BEST seafood I’ve ever had. Perfectly prepared and seasoned.
Great service and food! Definitely will be back! A huge plus was that my dietary allergies were accommodated.
I had to work to hard at my salad, cut it up and toss it , flavor was nothing special for the price.
It was busy, but everything was very good. Food was excellent.
Went with 5 to have an early dinner in the bar. Ambiance is cool- beautiful booths, stools etc. Service was excellent(Justin) and the food was great: escargot, calamari, Alaskan halibut(excellent), beef stroganoff (excellent), shrimp bowl(good), mushroom soup(strong flavor) , gem Caesar (good)... wine and beer- delish
Soooo happy to have them in town.
It was a little too loud. I was also concerned with the spread of COVID as every table was occupied and no one, staff or customers, were wearing masks except me.
Nicholas is an awesome server and you can even request to be at one of his tables if you call for reservations.
The food was was delicious and well executed. I have been there a few time since its opening and the consistency in dishes is impressive. I highly recommend the mushroom soup and halibut entree.
Wonderful and nice
The dinner was delicious. Our waiter Nicolas was super knowledgeable about the food, personable and extremely attentive. It was the best service I have had in a while. I highly recommend them.
From start to finish, an exceptional experience! My wife and I enjoyed our first visit. We definitely will be back.
Fourth or fifth time I’ve been there since it opened. Clearly getting better. Service is getting better. Food is better. Still needs at times to make sure the entrées are a bit hotter. Will continue to go and enjoy the restaurant.
Our server Justin was excellent. The food was ok. Not that creative. Menu limited and uninspiring. With all the excellent choices in Detroit, this is not at the top of my list. I live in Grosse Pointe, and the choices here are limited.
We came to check this new restaurant in our neighborhood. The starters were very good. My Lamb was excellent. My partner's salmon was OK. The desert, crème brûlée, was excellent. Overall, food was 4 to 5. The service was excellent. We will be back soon.
Good food and service. However, we didn’t appreciate our clothes smelling like food
GREAT FOOD AND GREAT SERVICE.
Great job on creating a new identity for the Bronze Door (former Hill restaurant). The decor is beautiful and the premises has an ambiance. The food and service were exceptional. The restaurant was very well staffed - a rarity these days. Looking forward to our next visit.
Our group of six from out of town had a wonderful dinner at the Bronze Door. Beautiful dining room, welcoming staff, great table service. The Halibut was outstanding! Everyone loved the experience.
Husband had the stroganoff which was delicious I had the chicken Melanae’s which was also very very good
Food was amazing and service was attentive.
Extremely attractive interior renovation. Dinner was superb!!
Our sever Nicholas was exceptional. The food was fantastic. Escargot, sublime. Calamari was perfect. Mussels delicious. Vegan tacos tremendous. Garlic bread yummy. I would go there again and again and again.
Good food , service and ambiance. Don’t like the fact that you sell bread. Should be given if asked for. Not a good policy in my opinion.
This is our second time at the Bronze Door. The food and service are outstanding!!
Service was excellent. Escargot starter was nice, pastry on top not necessary. Mushroom soup very nice, again, pastry on top not necessary and made eating a bit tricky. The special Tuna entrée was exceptional. Acoustics a bit loud with nearly full dining room.
Food was very good but very overpriced. $8 for a tiny salad? $6 for bread? Waiter recommended a dessert, we order one. They didn't have it and we picked an alternate and they brought two and charged us for both. Menu choices aren't as good as The Hill. We won't be back anytime soon.
Our waitress was great alisa .
Owner came to our table to say hello. How did we like our food.
Great food and wine
I became severely ill from the food. I could tell something was off when I was eating, but I was extremely sick within a half hour of leaving the restaurant. That aside, the male bartender hardly spoke to us. It was sad because when this restaurant was the Hill the bartenders were so friendly and it was a regular spot for all of us. Miss the old menu, miss the old staff, and getting so sick from the mushroom soup didn’t make me want to run back. Big disappointment. Bring back the Hill!
