Took my friend to her birthday lunch. Hard to find way from parking to restaurant. The restaurant is nice and well decorated. Table is quite small for 2 entrees and one appetizer. Food overall is good but salty to me but I like the presentation Service is can be improved but understand it might take some time to improve for new restaurant. I ordered tiramisu for dessert. It is too sweet even I have sweet tooth. Will be perfect if they put an candle on it as I mentioned it was for my friend’s day at the beginning. Overall rating is average but still appreciated a higher scale restaurant in Richmond.
Went there for my son’s birthday which was also Thanksgiving holiday. The parkade was closed so only option was to park on the street of have it parked by the valet which was $16. I think there should be note saying that the parkade is closed on holidays as $16 is quite a high price to pay to have the valet park right in front of the restaurant.
Also, been here three times. Food is good but the price for quite a small cup of cappuccino is expensive. Service is ok.
Terrible service and attitude
We were visiting from Florida and stumbled upon this newly opened dining gem, with an exciting chef and staff who seemed thrilled to be a part of the buzz! The beautiful presentation of all dishes, the chef torching oysters table side, and creative cocktails on the menu were a pleasant treat. Don’t let the ‘small plate’ concept scare you because the portions were abundant, and the prices more than fair for the quality. Sanjay was such a delightful and knowledgeable server on our first visit. He was as excited about the food as I was, and kindly got answers to all of my ‘foodie’ questions. We returned a week later to try even more of the dishes, and were not disappointed (other than Sanjay NOT being our waiter that night!) The table they placed us at was quite small for all of the shared plates, and that added to a ‘rushed’ feeling on the second visit…even though we were there at 5pm and the surrounding tables were not filled before we left. It is obvious that everyone is aiming to please, so I am confident they will consider this. Even the bartender came by to make sure we were happy with her creations. Indeed we were! Good luck to this budding culinary treasure!
Wonderful service and food. The manager and servers were attentive and checked in on us often. The manager had a great personality and a fun sense of humour. Food was beautifully executed and absolutely tasty. The space is smaller, with lower ceilings, so it turned out to be really loud. All in all, would come back again.
My children and I went to Bruno last Sunday evening. All of us were satisfied . We ordered the 52oz bone-in ribeye steak, it's wonderful. And my favorite dish was Truffle wild mushroom Gnocchi. I really recommend it to you.
Fantastic food 👍
But time has limited…
We will recommend to friends
They have a coffee-shop size table, with huge dinner plates. It was crammed .. even the table settings were so close to each other I felt like I am part of the conversation of the tables next to us, on both sides.
They ran out of egg white froth for my Whisky Sour .. at 6PM .. and still served it anyway. No price reduction nor recompense whatsoever. Ran out of it, sorry but here’s your Whisky Sour without the froth.
The Pork Belly was the only one that saved the night. It was a great appetizer as compared to the rest of our order. But nothing special .. can get it elsewhere.
The Burrata Salad was too basic for its price.
For mains, we went for the 52oz Bone-In Ribeye Steak … the meat lacked flavour and seasoning and the gorgonzola horseradish butter overwhelmed the overall taste of the meat. It was pointless.
Best Restaurant ever
Food is great! But the dish size is very misleading. Waiters and servers are not to the level of the price point expected.
Overall. Great chef. But the management and presentation have room for improvement.
Date night with my wife. Great food but even better experience. Head chef came out and served us table side on a couple of dishes. The whole team was very friendly and professional. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough
