   I loved taking my family to Buca di Beppo. I rsvp’d for Mother’s Day. I did talk to my server Tara because I walked in on a stressed out female manager who was harsh in tone and word choice with a late server. It was said at the front host desk which was a bad look. Obviously a stressful day but stress management was poor. I would hope this was a rare occurrence and not a norm. Buca has too high of a reputation and positive environment for that type of error on management.

    We had a very large group and our table was ready when we arrived. The wait staff was incredible. Our food was delivered accurately and quickly. Every dish was tasty and served hot. I had not been to the restaurant in years and it was a good reminder to not wait so long for the next visit. We took a lot of food home (since the dishes are all sharable), so it was great for leftovers. Definitely recommend a visit, especially if you have a larger group.

    The food was good and overall the restaurant was good, but the server took advantage of teenagers. Charged gratuity and didn’t tell them so she got a 20% on top of her 18% tip.

    Generous serving sizes, decent food. I can see eating there again. It's not an "experience" but it's better than fast food Italian without being a fancy restaurant.

    Server was friendly and nice but not very with it. I told him we were on 2 separate tickets but he put everything on one anyway. Slow getting drink refills and we had to ask twice for some bread. I had no silverware or plate and waited a long time for him to return so I could ask him. Instead, I just took one from an empty table! There were two messy tables right next to us that needed to be cleared from the time we were seated to the time we left.

    Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful. We had the calamari starter and then lasagna for the entree. Topped it off with the italian cream cake for dessert. It made our Easter meal special.

    We Love Bucca, we have to visit atleast 2 times a year. By far the best Italian food in the city.

    Food was great like always. The waiter wasn't very good. Ordered 2 large dishes and a small dish. Then Ordered an appetizer last. He forgot to the small dish that was ordered first. Some of the plates still had food stuck on them from the last time they were used and my glass for water still had the lip prints from the last person that used it. Was really surprised by the dirty dishes brought to the table.

    We walked and were told they could not accommodate us because we did not have a reservation, so we went outside and booked one with open table and they got us in. However, the hostess went and spoke with the guy who would be our waiter. Their service was really slow and not what we are used to from Bucca. The restaurant was nearly empty and it looked like they had 2 servers. We had to ask for bread and then oil we also had to ask repeatedly for refills. It really felt like we were being punished.

    Reservation made for party of six to celebrate a birthday. Zero acknowledgment when trying to check in, once seated, we made it clear we were celebrating a birthday several times just to make sure it was known. Order placed, zero communication after that. Appetizer did not come out prior to our dinner. One bowl of pasta was brought out by someone and left, then the appetizer and second bowl of pasta about 5 minutes later. Another gentleman, guessing a mgr asked if we were doing ok, or there for an occasion, we stated a birthday and was asked if we saw our name on the board at the front. We replied no and the gentleman said he’d go check to see if it was on there. Five minutes later, he came back to tell us to check again. After that, We never were checked on by our waiter, no refills, etc. Asked for some boxes and waiter asked if we were interested in ordering dessert to which we said no. By this time, we felt ignored and wanted to get our check and go since the overall experience wasn’t exactly what we were hoping for for a 14 years old birthday dinner. Waiter left our check and some boxes several minutes later. I watched my daughters face fall after seeing other birthdays being celebrated and those tables being sung happy birthday with a dessert brought out. I finally had to ask our waiter if they happen to do anything for a birthday dinner…the waiter laughed out loud and left. Several minutes later out come 3 staff members with a scoop of ice cream in a bowl; while recording our waiter is looking away and nowhere near apart of the singing and etc., which was perfectly fine, just clear in the video to see. On the way out, we found my daughters name written by the mgr-scribbled down at the bottom clearly not matching all the other names previously written for the day. Nice try. Very poor service and overall a very poor experience.

    We had such a great time. Lived in KC for almost 40 years, and had not been to this restaurant in probably 10 years. We wanted to celebrate my wife's birthday with our 3 kids and my parents. We had a great waiter (really wish I could remember his name right now, older, happy gentleman), a great apple-gorgonzola salad, kids meals, ravioli and cannelloni for the table, and they sang to my wife at the end to embarrass her just the right amount. We had a blast. If you've never been here, it's intentionally tacky and strange, but in a very fun way. If you haven't been there in a while like me, give it a try!

    Good food, unique and fun atmosphere, attentive staff, right in the center of the Country Club Plaza. We fed 11 people for under $20 each including tip, AND we had lots of leftovers for the next day.

    It had been years since we had been to Buca di Beppo. We were on the plaza to see a show with our daughter and granddaughter. Our 12 year old granddaughter was delighted with the atmosphere and the food. Our server Dan made subtle but funny remarks that endeared him to all of us. Overall a great experience and meal. The only hiccup was a slight drainage problem which was being attend to by some plumbers, leaving a slightly unpleasant odor. Definitely not enough smell to ruin the meal experience, just a little aromatic. We will be back soon.

    We had a great time. Wish the waitress was more lively. Seemed like something was wrong or she was going through something. Also, wished it wasn’t so hot in there. But overall, it was my first time and I took my gf there for her bday so she had fun. Food was great. Loved the red sauce which is rare for me.

    We loved everything but the noise level. Staff was gracious enough to turn down the music blaring directly overhead, but the noise from small children was a lot. Dining is tight, so it can be cramped....they seemed to have the timing of the reservations nearly perfect, though. The first table with crying baby left shortly after we were seated and the ones seated just behind me arrived as we were finishing up.
