   We have not been here since before the Covid shutdown. The restaurant is refreshed and the food remains top quality. The radichio salad was a flavour bomb - so yummy. The zuchini flowers were delicious. We had a pasta and pizza and both were tasty. The tiramisu knocked me over - such decadence and intense flavours - very original on an old classic.    Superb experience from start to finish. Hospitality, knowledgeable staff, exceptional ingredients/dishes. Outstandingly tasty charcuterie, eggplant/ricotta, best tomato sauce my Italian husband has ever had, delicate flavourful branzino and the piece de resistance - mille feuille dessert.

   Always a nice experience! Setting is beautiful and service is excellent. We each ordered pizza and it was really oily - more so than usual - but eggplant appetizer was amazing!

    Disappointed in this place. Food was nothing interesting or exciting. Felt like food that wanted to be different vs wanting to taste good. Our server was never to be found. We kept having to flag down another server walking by for any request

    It is located in the back of a renovated building. Long walk down an alley to a back door entrance. Need a bit bigger sign out on King Street to know where to go. Neat use of an old building. Steep stairs to get down into the restaurant. Greeted very nicely. Coat service. Energetic atmosphere and with a medium level of nois. It has quite a buzz to it. Nice dinning rooms in the front and back. Busy kitchen with lots of cooking staff. Food was very good. Daily menu has really good selections. Service was really good. Wine selection was decent. Need to expand the wine by glass options as the bottles of wine are very expensive. Great experience.

    The service was excellent and outstanding, the servers explained the courses carefully to us. Food was amazing, everything made from scratch. The starters Melanzane, Orecchio di Maial and Nodini were amazing. The pizza is so so good, and pasta is also amazing. Desserts are delicious, highlight to the Millefoglie and the Tiramisu. From 1 to 10 Buca deserves a 20

    Unfortunately this is not the Buca I remember. I used to easily say that Buca was the best Italian in the city of Toronto, but that is not true anymore. Some signature items, have been altered. Even the olives used for martinis have been downgraded. Service was good but even impeccable service without good food, especially in todays climate when going out is so expensive, you have to preform with outstanding food, and unfortunately Buca did not. Staff was lovely and accommodating.

    Delicious food from start to finish. Creative cooking with an innovative combination of Canadian and Italian ingredients. The mains we had (pasta and pizza) were both exceptional. Highly recommended. The waiter was absolutely top notch too. Bravo!

    Our server was rude and condescending. Made for a very unpleasant experience. I am sure Buca could review the feedback and rectify the issue. Its sad that the kitchen staff make such an effort to deliver quality food and ingredients all to be supplanted by a poor and rude attitude from the front of the house. Given the state of the industry, most other restaurants are happy to have clients, especially regulars. @Buca - I wouldn't worry about this review, I would worry about all the others who had the same experience, but didn't bother to let you know, but you will never see them or people in their network again.

    We have enjoyed Buca for many years and make it into Toronto 1-2 times per year. This time we found our dinner not as enjoyable. We love the Eggplant parmigiana, one of the reasons we coming back. Our appetizers were both luke warm to cool this time and not that enjoyable, we should have sent them back. Our main server disappeared 3/4 into our meal and he only came back to out table for the bill payment. The rest of the meal was ok, not the usual wow!

    This was my second time at this restaurant. My first time, back in November 2022, everything was great and i would give it a 10/10. However this time, I’m not sure what happened with their service/management. The food was good (8/10), however the service was 2/10. Our server had an attitude and wasn’t very attentive. Even something like Boston Pizza has polite and attentive servers. Also my drink’s ice cube had a fly in it that I only noticed until the ice cube melted just enough to reveal the stuck fly. The server argued that it fell into the drink after the fact and had gotten stuck, which didn’t look like it since the fly’s body was half frozen in the ice. All management did is remove the drink from my bill but no apology or anything was given. A restaurant, even with good food, is not good at all with poor service and unprofessionalism. I will not be coming back.

    Absolutely incredible, haven't been back since the pandemic but I'm glas to see it is just as good as I remember if not better! Pizza Tartufo still reigns supreme as the best pizza in the city! Chef Jorge is KILLING it!!!

    Our food was lukewarm at best. My first bite is oso buck was 1/2 fat… ugh. My partners eggplant was also only warm, but tater fine. Defiantly not up to standard. Very disappointed

    If you are not familiar with toronto this place can be difficult to find. The service was quite poor with long delays between the staff checking in on the table. The food was decent with small portion sizes, but certainly not offering good value. Overall there are better Italian restaurants around.

    We had an amazing evening with our two son’s. Great vibe and the wait staff went above and beyond. All the suggestions from our lovely waitress were spot on. The food was amazing. Looking forward to going again next time we are in town.
