It wasn't open Clearly hadn't been open since Anzac Day as they had signs up I rang and there was no answer but a message they were re opening April 27th We went on April 29th the first night of our honeymoon and it was closed They could of rung up and told us......strange I've never been here to eat and was looking forward to it.

Had a lovely Dinner while on holidays in Port Douglas. Our daughter recommended the restaurant and we were not disappointed. The menue was great and the service was excellent. We would return to the restaurant again if we are ever in Port Douglas

Booked here for New Year's Eve was told the menu and how to book with a deposit this was where it went pear shaped....had to pay in full menu changed without notice when we arrived they were running late out table didn't get set for almost an hour was terrible service and the food was mediocre at best very disappointed with the restaurant and will not be returning

It appeared as if the restaurant was not prepared for a New Year's Eve dinner and so the food was late in coming out not leaving us enough time to enjoy it or to have desert. No reasons were given or apologies offered. The food was of a decent standard but the service really let the place down.

We had been to the restaurant last year and the food was great. This experience was very disappointing. The food was tasteless and the service poor. I would not recommend this restaurant. There are much better places to eat at in port Douglas.

Made reservations and showed up to the restaurant to find that they were closed. Seemed if they had been closed for quite some time. Tried calling earlier in the day and machine didn't indicate that they were closed. Very disappointing experience.

Well this is the first review I have written in which I have had to write negatively. The restaurant looked great and our expectation of enjoying a great Italian meal was high. Initial service was slow and atmosphere was noisy. We had calamari to share as a starter - rubbery and flavourless (honestly can't imagine why it is on the menu - horrid). The mains also failed to impress risotto and Lasagna. No classic Italian dishes here.

Did not enjoy dining experience. From the aperitif that was mostly soda water to the extra charge for some bread for the children, we did not feel that it was good value for money. Meals took way too long to come out and although we did not complain, the waitress was aware and apologized several times. Food was good, but nothing outstanding for the prices. Would not recommend this restaurant.

If dishes on the menu are not available please have the courtesy to inform guests when you give them the menu. Don't wait until they order said dishes to tell them they are not available. Do not serve oxidised wine. If someone asks about what ingredients are in a dish tell them the correct ingredients. Hubby was told the risotto had no dairy except for added Parmesan, but it had a big dollop of marscapone which he can't eat. Oh, and then we were charged for a salad we never recieved.

We have eaten at Bucci before and raved about it to our friends. Saturday evening we booked a table. All was good until it came to pay. The combined bill for 6 adults and 2 children came to $477.00 roughly. We said to the waiter to round it off to $500 as a tip. One couple paid for two couples on his card ($334.00) as did the third couple ($166). The waiter added an extra $15 per card resulting in a tip of $53, why? This was challenged at the time but the waiter just shrugged his shoulders.

Have eaten there a few times over the years.Steak was covered in a ring of fat, had to actually ask for a steak knife, service was non attentive and waitress has real problems understanding English .Scallops were tiny

One of our favourite restaurants in Port Douglas - we love a good seafood pasta and Bucci never disappoints. A fantastic place to sit outside and watch the people of Macrossan St walk by. Always busy so be sure to book.

We enjoyed our meals, BUT my lasagne was luke warm when it arrived. This was taken away and a fresh hotter meal returned. When we finished we were pestered about dessert, even though we wanted to wait ten mins or so before deciding. Once we decided the desserts came out pronto! Altogether time in restaurant, under 50 minutes, too fast to be enjoyable for a relatively up market restaurant.

We had a group of 8 including 2 children..The service was great and the food the same..everyone was very happy with the quality of the food and the creative ability of the chefs....would highly recommend to all to experience...we had full 3 courses even though quite full from the starters and main we just had to try the Orange donut creation....
