   As always - the food was excellent. Unfortunately, we were there for a business lunch from a colleague from the US. We arrived promptly for our noon reservation, were seated immediately in a lovely, quiet booth. Our professional waiter came immediately to take orders - all good. We then waited nearly 75 minutes for our food to arrive. It was explained that they'd had a large group arrive unexpectedly, etc. Yes - we saw a group of 10-12 or so on the patio, but there were only a few other groups around us inside - many of whom ordered, ate, and left before our meals even arrived. Anyway - for a long-time reliable "go-to" venue to take out-of-town guests, it was an unfortunately disappointing experience this time.

   Was hosted by a friend though the restaurant was my recommendation. Had the seafood rice bowl and it was fantastic especially paired with a nice burgundy. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals also. I originally thought my choice was a bit pricey, but upon reflection, worth every penny.

   Absolutely killer spot. We went with a bachelor party, James and the team treated us like kings! Food was delicious and great value. From the porterhouse to the 3-Course Chef special, we loved the flavours and spread. The tataki was a major hit as an appie. The whisky suggestions and options are fantastic. We enjoyed every one.    An excellent meal. Wagyu tartar and seafood chowder to start. 6 oz filet and Cajun style red snapper for mains. All prepared perfectly. Very enjoyable.

    Overall service was good, braised beef pasta was yummy. We just felt very rushed to order something because because my wife and I just got there trying to settle in with our little one. The server came back multiple times, and gave us the feeling of being rushed. Otherwise the experience was good.

    Haven’t been to Buchanan’s for quite awhile as we were living elsewhere. Still has the same ambience and the quality of the food is excellent. My steak was done exactly to order. Decent wine list that is now separated by price point, and with reasonable prices throughout. Looking forward to going again!

    Our server was pleasant. We had to ask a few times for more water. The flavors were on the whole plain, but not offensive. For the price I expected more design and attentiveness to both presentation and ingredients. The Filet Mignon was tough and again the "gravy" somewhat boring. Grilled veggies were nice. the sticky toffee pudding had a rich date flavour and the caramel sauce tasted fairly genuine and home made

    The service to begin with was fast and friendly for my husband and I. We had the seafood chowder which was excellent, the T-bone steak special where the steak was somewhat lacking in flavour but the mashed potatoes and veggies were delish. For dessert, he had the cheesecake and I had the sticky toffee pudding. The pudding was spectacular!! A large table came in and our waiter disappeared so we flagged down another junior staff member who was very helpful. My husband’s dessert was complimentary as it was his birthday.     I've been going to Buchanan's whisky bar for years. Consistency is their strong suit. Always the same excellent staff, and their formula of great food and low noise keep me coming back.

    Had a wonderful dinner at Buchanan’s - Halibut was amazing. Garlic mashed potatoes sinfully good. And simply loved the sticky toffee pudding and apple crumble. Our server was terrific…took great care of us…very attentive…made us feel very at home.

    Great evening celebrating a birthday. Server was so friendly and nice, she recommended a wonderful wine For us. And, the birthday person got her dessert free!! The meal and the desserts were fantastic. My burger was delicious, as were the fries. Would definitely go again!

    Over priced and felt cheaply prepared. Deconstructed Caesar salad consisted of some lettuce and dressing on a plate - no Parmesan, croutons, bacon. Couldn’t choose potato side with steak, and the potato latke that came was tiny. When one pays $70 for a steak they expect more. Steak itself was well done. Espresso martini was undrinkable, tasted like bitter cold espresso that had sat on a counter all day, and was $18.50. Ambience is run down and in need of repair. Booth seating felt like we were sitting on plywood. Very disappointed for the money we spent.

    Had a fantastic dinner with friends. Our server was knowledgable with the menu and wine list, picking out a delicious bottle of wine for our table. So good, we had to get two! The food was perfect and absolutely delicious. Would recommend Buchanans over and over again!
