   The food was amazing, and the restaurant was pretty empty and quiet which was nice. Only complaint was ordering a Moscow Mule hoping it was a handcrafted drink but it was just a can that cost 3X more here than it would be if I just picked it up from the LCBO, so watch what drinks you order if you’re hoping for something fancier. Service was good, pricing was better than we expected.

Valid comment on the drink. I am guessing you ordered it without seeing our beverage menu. We have 3 canned drinks featured: Georgian Bay Gin Smash, Matt & Steve Caesar, Cabana Coast Moscow Mule - all Ontario. Our customers were asking for them, so we thought why duplicate them, just carry them. All other drinks are hand crafted. Hope to see you again soon.

   Ordered filet and it was tough and no flavour. Garlic mashed tasted like instant potatoes. On a positive note the wait staff were lovely and attentive.

   Enjoyed a fantastic evening and birthday dinner at Buchanan's. Dinner was excellent and server Shayla was such a sweetheart. Her recommendations were spot on. We shared the amazing lobster dip with pita toast points plus beet salad as appetizers..the portions were perfect for us and delicious. Our Striploin Steaks were done perfectly medium and still nice and tender. We also really enjoyed the Chicken and Shrimp with lentils along with the Thai Chicken. Cheesecake, Chocolate Torte and Mango Sorbet we're 5 star. Ahmed (manager) and Lise (dining room server) were also welcoming and super friendly :) to round out a great dining experience. All in all, everything was great, we will definitely recommend to others and will return.

   Buchanan interior is very beautiful. I ordered new York steak and baked potatoe. Steak is cook perfectly and potatoe is very delicious. I made a reservation to celebrate our anniversary. I was expecting a complimentary dessert but none. I guess its myself expecting too much. Overall the food its very good and very convenient with staying in hotel. I would come back again for sure.

   It was a quiet evening which led to very personalized service. We had steaks which were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. My birthday was acknowledged as soon as we were seated and after dinner the server came out with a big piece of chocolate cake topped with a candle and a happy birthday topper. We stayed for 3 nights at the hotel and had breakfast here each morning. Each time the food was great and the service too. Reasonable prices for both dinner and breakfast especially compared to other options in the area. Highly recommend!

   Absolutely amazing restaurant. Service extremely great and friendly . Hotel is amazing as well. The food is excellent and must try desert. I would recommend this restaurant. Good price as well.

   The Mediterranean chicken should be removed from the menu. Terrible. Service and fries were excellent. So that made up for it. Somewhat.

    We have gone to this restaurant multiple times over the years and this was our worst experience thus far. We will likely not be returning. The food was fine, but seemed to be of poorer quality than in years past. The service was terrible. The server seemed to struggle with every aspect of the service - eg. forgetting our order, timing of bringing out food, asking to clarify, forgetting to clear the table, etc. If this was her first day on the job, this would all be understandable, but it did not seem to be the case. It appeared that other servers were fully aware of this servers' struggles, but they did not come to her (or our) aid. Overall, not a great experience compared to previously at the same restaurant.

    It was ok food and service. I would recommend for a Canadian but not an American. The flavor and taste left me wanting something more flavorful. The drinks were fine but not strong in alcohol or juice flavor. The Asian restaurant in the area had more flavor even if the alcohol was not strong. I would try another restaurant nearby to give the area a try. I enjoyed the company of my husband the most during the dining experience.

    I'm not a food critic so I am not going to say much about the food other than our group had no complaints. Everything was good. What I particularly liked about the place was that the two ladies working on this slow night were as pleasant as could be. We had met up with some old friends we had not seen in years and they let us talk with them until closing time. I do recommend this restaurant and will certainly return in the future.

    Will not go back. Service was bad. I literally saw people waiting to be seated then after several minutes leave, this happened twice. Food was mediocre.

    Very disappointed with chicken dish. The chicken was very dry and the risotto was not cooked enough, hard and like chewing little stones. I mentioned it to the waitress at the end of the meal. The others with me all had steak and said it was nothing special and not worth recommending to anyone. We were there on a Saturday at 6pm so it was not busy with only 2 other tables occupied.

    The food was very good and our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Plus the piano playing in the background by a gentleman with a big handlebar mustache made the dinner even more enjoyable.

    Well. The waitress brought us appetizers/salads and the main courses in the same time. However we asked salads first, steaks later. The steaks were overcooked, rubbery ans salty. The thai chicken rise noodles were overcooked and salty. The manager though was very polite.

    Went for the first time. Took my husband and children, for my husband's birthday. Food was great, service was great and price was fair. Liked so much we returned for breakfast next day. (Also great) will definitely return

    Such a depressing place!! This is one of the worst place and experience to get it from Niagara! Serving bad quality foods. They don’t even know to make steak. Another funny note here is , My reservation was for 9pm and someone called me from the hotel and motivated me to come early to enjoy the music ! I reached early and there was one guy with guitar (I felt sorry for that guy)! I won’t even go there by mistake next time!

    A usually quiet restaurant inside a 4 stars hotel. Friendly service with live music some day. Dinner menu choices are not many and food are ok without surprise. Don't expect the same thing from a high end steak house. Its a good alternative when you don't have to or want to dine outside the hotel. Pricing is reasonable, and even low, for a restaurant in a hotel, in particular the a la carte breakfast.

    Our waitress was awesome….Very friendly and personable. The appetizers (calamari, Caesar salad and beet salad) were all very enjoyable. We did find the salmon a little over-cooked and the vegetables over-salted for our taste. Pasta dish was superb. Sorry, can’t speak to the steaks as no one in our party ordered.

    We stayed at the Double Tree for seven nights. We had six meals at the Buchanans, breakfast five times and dinner with our last night. It is a very good price/value. Lise , our waitress , at each meal , was great. We really enjoyed it.

    Our whole experience at Buchanan's was positive. We were warmly greeted at the door and seated promptly. Our food was prepared fresh which I was pleased with. Many places use Frozen food nowadays and buchanans uses fresh ingredients. The value for our meal was also outstanding.
