   Second time visiting here from Seattle. Some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. Busy but Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I love the personalization when you celebrate birthdays, anniversaries etc (with the letter board in the restaurant). I’ll come back every time I’m in town.

   Buck & Rider has been a big disappointment the last 2 times we have dined here. The food is exceptional. I make my reservations several months in advance. The last time we dined I had requested the patio as I always do since the noise level is much better there. This was 11/3 so the manager should know that I am talking about him. We were seated and we asked for an extra heater as the wind was coming directly at us. Several staff members tried to get a heater for us but the manager told them that the heaters needed to stay where they are. Yet behind us where the wind wasn’t affecting anyone, they were moving the heaters all around. Of course the manager sent the message through the staff. If the one heater we had, would have been moved to the other side of the table, I think it would have solved the problem but this wasn’t allowed by the manager. The time before that when I made a reservation months in advance for the table in front of the fireplace on the patio as it was a special family birthday, we were seated inside where we could not even talk to each other as the noise level did not allow any conversation. So Buck & Rider does not try to accommodate their guests nor do they care about them and their requests.

   The evening didn’t start out great as they couldn’t find our reservation although I had it on my phone (apparently they are switching to another reservation system - not open table). We had to wait 30 minutes for a table which we were told is not unusual even with a reservation. After that fiasco things got better. We like Buck and Rider because we love oysters and stone crab. The food is very good and fresh. We had a server we’ve had before, Lorenzo — he is great. Fast, friendly and attentive. The manager came to the table to apologize for the mixup and picked up part of our bill to make up for it. I appreciated her personal involvement. We will definitely go back but try again for an outdoor table as it is so busy and very, very loud inside.

   One of the better restaurants we have visited in a while. Love that they had a wide range of offerings, I could have easily gone back the next day and had another entire meal. Our server was incredibly, the ambience was awesome, the place was memorable. Only, rather large complaint - we had reservations for 6 pm, when we arrived, the hostess was WAY too dismissive and was uncertain when we would be seated. She just said go wait outside and order a drink. I asked when we might get a table and she didn't offer any insight. Not cool when you have a reservation, also, drove 40 minutes to get there, didn't need another drink in my system, would rather enjoy my drink with food at my table - which I reserved. We were sat at 6:30, not terrible, but not great or what I would have expected - they also should have been more apologetic, understanding and maybe given us some insight to why or when we will be sat? The entire place was awesome, other than the subpar host staff.

   Good food, Good service. After reading the reviews, unfortunately I had higher expectations. Everything was OK. Unfortunately the food had to be sent back twice to get correct. The drinks they brought out were incorrect, and had to be corrected.

   Dinner was excellent will be back! Got to sit outside it was a wonderful evening. Service was 10 stars good was 10 stars. High dollar can’t enjoy more frequently but as a special occasion location for us it’s something to look forward to in the future.

    The waitress was not attentive or very nice. Good was just ok, nothing great for what they charge. The crab legs were not up to par at all. Drinks were good. Would have had more if the waitress had come by more often.

    My sister, her husband and our nana were visiting for a pre-concert dinner. First of all, our server was STUNNING!!! She was so patient with our questions about sides and what style of oysters were the best. And let me tell you, she never once steered us wrong! Compliments to the kitchen and those that shuck the oysters and prepare everything with care and detail. Dessert was a whole vibe and my nana had never had press coffee and thought it was the most delicious and novel idea to have served table side. That being said, for me, the banana cake and lemon meringue stole the show! The table next to us doubled their order which is what enticed us to save room for dessert. I could go on forever, all in all, keep up the impeccable job and anyone who tries to give you bad feedback should be banned so the rest of us can come more often. Will forever return💜💜💜

    We went to Buck N Rider for brunch to celebrate our daughters engagement… It was an amazing experience - they put a special message up on the board, they gave them a sweet treat of macaroons as an unexpected surprise, and our waitress was the best… it was above and beyond our expectations! We went there because we knew it would be great but it was even better!! Thank you so much for making our family celebration super special!!

    The place was pretty decor wise but almost everything we ordered was either average or not good. The only two things that were good were the Brussels and oysters. My husbands dessert came out in a paper cup with a plastic spoon! Fine if we had a child with us but he’s a grown adult and our meal was $200 come on!

    We come here often we love coming here. Last night was the first time we were not satisfied. They were out of everything. After telling us other options to coming back saying they were out. This happened about 3-4 times. Magi Maui had no flavor as well as the filet mignon. Service was wonder as always. Just frustrating with the food options.

    Our server, Joshua was spot on, very informative, came around to check on us in a timely manor! I would definately recommend the Crispy Brussel sprouts, Mahi Mahi and baked potato were a palet pleaser, Half lobster seemed like a pretty small portion for the buck~ Overall, one again, an enjoyable experience.     Seated in time, incredible service, the food was fantastic. Noisy inside, but that’s to be expected on a Friday early evening. Parking is valet only. Great menu and value. Will definitely be back soon.

    Service was simply not good. We ordered martinis, an appetizer and our food at once. Didn’t see our waiter until midway through dinner. Ordered wine and didn’t receive until after our meal. Very disappointing for $200+ (non restaurant week) dinner. Although food was fantastic, there are too many places locally to get great food AND service. Unlikely to return.

    Three star based on: Hostesses -1 star Happy hour offerings 4 - stars Table service - 3 stars Food - 4 stars We made a reservation for an early dinner for 4 last Thursday during Restaurant Week.?The reservation was at 5:30 PM and we arrived at 4:55 PM hoping to hang out for happy hour for a little while before we got to our table. It got very strange from there. The hostess said they were completely full for happy hour but we could stand at a bench where servers could take our drink orders and she handed us the regular price menu, not the happy hour menu. She put our name on a "happy hour wait list." We walked a few feet farther to the actual bar to see if there was any space open even though the hostess said there wasn't. There was one empty seat between other parties so one person from our group sat at that empty seat and we stood behind them. The bartender took our happy hour order and all seemed well. I went back to ask the hostess how we would be notified that the table was ready and she said "We'll come and get you." To which I responded "We're over at the bar and we've already ordered drinks." She responded "We can't allow you to do that. We have parties that are going to be seated at the bar and we need those seats." and I explained to her it was only one seat and that there was no way to get a party of more than one seated in there. We stayed at the bar and two hostesses came by and gave us the stink eye. Two people next to us left the bar and now there were three seats open. Lo and behold not one other group was seated in the three chairs next to us the entire time we were standing at the bar. We've been here on a Saturday night when the bar area was completely packed, it was raining that day yet still, they allowed people to stand 2 and 3 deep by the bar ordering drinks etc.
