The only recommendation I would make for the restaurant is for them to have larger tables. Sharing food and having many plates was a little challenging. Otherwise, AMAZING.
Overall ok the place is a little dark and the lady next to us was so low and could hear her whole conversation which ruined the evening
Food is good service is good overall good
I look forward to more vegan options and the patio but recommend this place especially during happy hour
The waitress and the kitchen did a fabulous job accommodating my gluten free request my only "complaint" is our food all arrived at various different times and not all together. The lapse in time between the 4 meal deliveries was very significant and poor. The pizza my husband had, had too much tomato sauce on it was under cooked and therefore was mushy. I would give them another try though because of them going the extra mile for my gluten intolerance and for which I am grateful.
Made reservation 3 weeks prior and were stuck in a back corner by the bathrooms. Had called 4 days prior to add one & very unaccomodating. Were told we could change our dinner reservation to 4:00. Yet when we got there (without our 3rd person) the table beside us could have easily sat 3 (& only had 2 at it). Meatballs good, pizza mediocre. Only one lamb & one beef entree. No chicken. And no limes for drinks, really?
Calabria pizza was good, flavours were light but fresh. Arugula salad very fresh but could have used a bit more flavour. Crispy polenta was nice & crunchy but green salsa not great. A fresh tomato sauce would have gone well ...
Tiramisu very good.
Service and staff were great. Very comfortable place with noise level not too high.
Will go back with friends and family for sure
Very odd menu . Happy hour - lots of Campari drinks .
No vodka or martinis on the drink menu .
Lots of pizzas - too many pizza places- nothing special .
Only 2 meat dishes $38 . Need more protein - no chicken or fish .
All carb menu - pizza and pasta .
Risotto balls were boring .
Kale salad was excellent, that’s why I gave it a 2.
Ok Family restaurant . Good place to bring the kids .
We visited Bufala on Valentine's Day... made it in for Happy Hour and had a great time... food was plentiful and beer and wine at great prices. Ran into some friends from the neighbourhood which made it more fun! We'll definetley be back! D.W.
I like Bufala, we've been several times. The menu is starting to get a little boring. One of our guests had the lamb shank and Risotto which was sub standard. Pizza is always the safe bet but not very interesting. I'd like to see the menu expand and include more traditional Italian dishes.
I had been with a friend during dinner out and Vancouver and loved the place... So decided to take my clients out for dinner on Sunday 9th Feb....we had booked a table of 6 ...on the eleventh hour we had 5 ... When we got to the restaurant they changed the tables on us and gave us a table for 4 between 5 of us ....it was crowded my cutlery kept falling to the floor.... The experience for my clients was not so great!
Perfect spot for dine in. Ambience was really awesome. We all enjoyed it. Very good service.
Food choices were excellent and service was sharp and welcoming. Noise levels were high and spoiled the ambience with tight tables and poor levels of lighting making seeing menus and crowding multiple plates onto the table difficult.
Great experience came for Happy Hour. Left stuffed and happy would come again for sure.
We had a great meal. We loved the food and shared 3 items all of which were very tasty. We were not rushed. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. Bufala had great ambiance although it was a little noisy. We will go again.
Lovely food and lots of great dishes and variety. Service staff is fantastic.
New restaurant in Edgemont village. A little noisy for my 90 year old mother... The food was excellent. Service good as well. The wine list could be more comprehensive.
Great spot, will come back.
Second time here. Just found it OK, quite ordinary but good service.
Came here for dine out tonight with my boyfriend. The food was very tasty, especially the appetizers. Their portions are huge, all regular menu portion size. Cocktails were not that great tho. The waitress was all very friendly and professional. Waste the pizza can stay hot a bit better. They served it on a wooden board.
The food was excellent. The pizza was delicious with a tasty sourdough crust. Yummy!
Food was phenomenal. Service was okay (we were seated late and rushed to get the order in before the kitchen closed). The music genres were a little weird for the setting but overall it was a fairly good experience. Looking forward to coming back!
Staff were very friendly and willing to accommodate on every request. We tried 3 pizzas - Finnochiana, Funghi and Margarita. All delicious! Excellent meat balls, arancini and super large piece of Tiramisu for dessert. A great introduction to a new N. Shore restaurant
The staff was extremely friendly on our first visit. Explains how family-style dining works and even how to pronounce the restaurant name.
We are not large people (2 adults, 2 tweens) yet the booth we were seated was uncomfortably tight. Crowded for an adult and child on the bench. Not sure 2 adults could sit without bumping elbows. Also knees touching with the person across.
The appies were tasty. The pizza was good. The pasta (pappardelle) was too salty for our taste.
Went for the dine out menu and happy hour. Both a great deal! Happy hour has lots of drink options, as well as food. And dine out portions were huge! Definitely more than enough for 1 person. Will definitely return!
Food was good service was not great
everything was outstanding but tables for two too small for family style dining
Very loud. We sat there n a row in the back of the restaurant. Was high traffic. Food was ok but nothing to write about. We will try again to see if the experience gets better.
The service was great. All the courses came on time, with good spacing in between. Servers were friendly.
Of the appetizers:
The meatballs were very good, the kale salad was decent,
Of the entrees:
The sausage pizza was decent, the beef rigatoni was not very flavorful.
The soft serve was basic soft serve, as expected
The tiramisu was cinnamon sponge cake and we barely touched it.
3/5 overall due to 2/5 food (for the price) and 4.5/5 service & environment
A great new place, with fantastic cuisine - an innovative spin on classic comfort food.
First time there. We were with friends. Very pleasant server. Delicious foods. Would have like a bit more sauce on my pasta but it was happy hour time and very good value. The other 3 did Dine out. Big size appetizers and pizza and large Tiramisu. Wine was excellent value and delicious. We will be back!
Four of us tried out Bufala for Happy Hour and were very pleased with the food and drinks. Service was great, too! I would definitely go again.
The food was delicious, friendly staff, will definitely return..
We went for the dine out Vancouver menu and so I expected better. This is an opportunity for restaurants to show their guests why we should go back! Each course took over 30 minutes to come out. Arancini balls were good but needed more sauce. Pizza was great, I got the funghi pizza. Tiramisu was very dry. The server would not top off our glasses with water unless they were completely empty which I thought was odd.
Great North Shore spot that was very lively & energetic!
Delicious food & great staff! It was busy but not too noisy and food arrived quickly. Would definitely recommend it!
Excellent service and food
Tried Dine Out Menu on a week day. Yummy food. Excellent service. Fun place. Will definitely go back. Welcome to the Village!
So nice to have a wonderful restaurant in Edgemont! Pizza was really good, with good quality ingredients. Service and prices were great too. Will definitly be back.
Service amazing, ambiance really nice busy, friendly not too loud.
The Menu for Dine Out Vancouver missed out key descriptors on several of the dishes. e.g. the risotto starter did not mention it was Risotto in crusty deep fried balls. Delicious but not what I expected when I ordered Risotto.
Good to see a selection of craft beers.
We all ordered Pizza as it looked fantastic. Tasty yet too much crust and not enough filling for the price they charged even on Dine Out Vancouver pricing
I will go again to try their regular menu before I wholeheartedly recommend the place.
Great food, cool environment, cool location. Would definitely recommend, especially for happy hour!
We came for a return dinner having experienced a great dinner when they first opened. The Happy Hour wine, beer were good. We ordered the Kale Cesar salad and it was good.
I ordered the rigatoni with Bolognese sauce and it was tasty. My husband ordered the Albacore tuna spaghetti and it arrived with the pasta not cooked in places. He sent it back and of course that took about 15 minutes which you would expect. On tasting the spaghetti it appeared watery and tasteless. He decided not to order another main at that point since I was finished my meal. They did offer to bring us a Tiramisu on the house which was delicious and they did remove the spaghetti from the bill. Service was very good.
