    The ambience is really good and the staff are fair enough. The only issue I have is the rigid service where the menu is so set that you cannot exchange chips for mash or have a larger variety of sauces for example. This is really disappointing and puts a real damper on the whole experience. If you do serve mash with other meals, is there really a good reason why you can't substitute your chips (which comes with the steak) for mash??? Please look into things like this - it's a simple change that makes a huge difference to the experience.

    Bit puzzled by the bar service, we had two bottles of Cloudy Bay which was superb. After that I went back to buy two further glasses of Cloudy Bay, The bar man poured the Cloudy Bay from an an already open bottle of wine. He could not work out how to charge me & ultimately called a supervisor over who said they don't sell the Cloudy Bay by the glass. With that they took the two full glasses of wine back & proceeded the ask me to purchase another wine. My question to both of the bar staff was why was the bottle already open if they don't sell it by the glass full to which they had no answer. I found the salmon dish I was served lacked some vegetables, two tiny strips of salmon over plain white rice was nothing to write home about.

    This was for a business lunch to congratulate a college on a new position and also to farewell another staff member. Everyone that attended was happy with the food and also with the service that they received. Would recommend this place to attend for a large group of people to attend for a function

    Reserved an area for food and drinks for my Birthday. Staff were very helpful and polite. Highly recommend this place. Great atmosphere and ambiance

    For lunch, particularly on Fridays important that restaurant is open and ready to receive people at 11:45am. Many times we have come in there at 12 noon and place appears like a ghost town;)

    Door staff showed zero interest in ensuring I got to my booked table. Bar service average, range of beers poor, all just the same style so that's boring as well. Sorry it's really just a beer barn.
