    Who said upscale food has to be bland? Byblos proves that gourmet, service, style and ambience can all come together to create a special experience. Special thanks to the manager who changed our table, and the outstanding person who was equally skilled behind the bar and serving our food. Excellent experience.

    I can't think of one bad thing to say about this place. Awesome food, awesome service and awesome ambiance. I go here every year with my closest friends for Christmas dinner and it never disappoints!

    Beautiful setting close to the theater district in Toronto. Loved the fried chicken and the dumplings! Lots of flavor and good spice. I would recommend this place.

    Had a really great time here. The food was truly excellent, the cocktails were delicious. The ambience was really nice, and even though there was a live DJ, it still felt low-key. Our server was pretty friendly and helpful, though didn't really communicate with us that the kitchen was going to close during the time that we were there. The wording on the OpenTable reso suggests a reservation is good for two hours ,and during that period, the kitchen would be closing, but that was never mentioned. We had ordered some starters and talked with him about even leaving a menu for when we get to the mains. Then we never saw him again, until we were going outside for a smoke. At no point did he mention that the kitchen was closing, or give a warning. This is a pretty common practice at even the greasiest of diners or pubs. It was mostly just disappointing because we really enjoyed the food and wanted to have more!

    An anaphylactic allergy was noted to our server upon ordering. The allergy was not taken seriously by our server. The kitchen staff was not made aware of the allergy. When our friends, tongue and throat began going numbing., we immediately informed our server and asked to speak with the chef to find reassurance that future dishes are safe to eat and do not contain the allergen. Our server told us the chef is busy and an ingredient list is not possible to obtain. He words were “Trust me, you can eat the following 3 dishes” We were finally able to speak with the co-manager in which our friends allergy was labelled a “sensitivity”. If you have an allergy DO NOT go here as it is not taken seriously and unsafe.

    It was my boyfriend and I’s first time dining here. I had heard good things and was excited to give it a shot. Beautiful interior, beautiful ambiance, classy but still laid-back. Was a little on the warmer side (I’m usually always freezing) so I definitely recommend dressing light lol. Food was delicious, I’m naturally a pretty picky eater & rarely find restaurants where I like every single thing I try. Byblos was the exception for me, all four dishes I tried were amazing. Good quality ingredients, dishes ran smaller than usual but still priced decently for a higher class restaurant. Served was amazing, so helpful & so attentive. All in all a great experience, looking forward to going back!

    Byblos has a great atmosphere. It is a little hard to find because of the construction, but worth it. The food is very good, however, seemed to be a little sub-par since we were here the last time. I would still recommend it. It is a dining experience of Mediterranean cuisine with flavours that are warm and comforting. It was especially appreciated on the cold, wet night that we were there.

    We had a great dinner at Byblos! Our favourite dishes were the Turkish dumplings, and the hummus as well as the branzino. The jewelled rice and cauliflower were also amazing sides!! Our server was nice and helpful with recommendations! Very satisfied with the vegetarian options.

    Its food is very very flavorful. The dishes we tried were all unique in flavor. I just had trouble finding the restaurant because google pinned the address slightly further from where it actually was.

    We have come to Byblos multiple times and this last one was a total disappointment. The food was still good but the effects of shrinkflation were evident. Portions are smaller than I remember and they are skimping on meat while increasing the ratio of cheap ingredients like dough and batter. What totally ruined the experience for me was seeing a mouse running around the dining room at the end of the night. We mentioned it to our server and she was so nonchalant about it, no apology or recognition of the health hazard that is roaming near their food. Between the lack of hygiene and the decreasing quality and increased prices of food, I do not hold Byblos at such a high regard as before.

    Long time guests of Byblos but this last time the quality and service was subpar. We will try again once more to see if it was a one off or a new normal.

    Our last visit at Byblos, literally We were so excited to go back to Byblos as we make a point of experiencing the downtown location every time we visit Toronto. Had a 7:45PM reservation and we were done by 8:40.... We ordered 6 dishes and the server suggested to bring them as they were prepared; which sounded like a great idea. All the plates came out together, apps and entrees. The dishes looked as they were pre-pre-pre prepared a while ago. Notwithstanding that we got our salt dosage for the next 12 months- absolutely distasteful and awful. Our favorite Toronto restaurant became a high-end fast food chain as everything looks the same, taste the same and is overpowered by SALT Welcome to McByblos

    Simply delish. Had the Turkish dumplings, sunchoke salad and eggplant main along with drinks. Just the right amount of food for two, lovely lighting and the food came out quickly.

    We are in Toronto for the first time for my husband’s birthday and came to Byblos after reading some positive reviews. We had a GREAT time! Our server (Jordan) recommended multiple dishes which were all delicious. Only complaint is that a lot of the plates were such small portions for 6 people but all tasted amazing. 100% will be back!

    I went with work, it was a nice meal and nice drinks. Expensive for what we got in my opinion. Didn’t have a grill working for shrimp and food was very slow, but they did provide a drink to say sorry. Waiter was very nice.

    Amazing food, some of the best I've had in this category. Page 1 was actually better than the main we had, roasted chicken, but that's not because the main wasn't good it's just that the items from page one were amazing!

    We had a lovely dinner last night at Byblos. We ordered Labneh, Turkish veggie dumplings, pear and arugula salad, lentil pide, lamb shoulder, meatballs, eggplant, beets, cauliflower, and sauteed greens. Everything was just delicious. The dumplings and lamb shoulder were exquisite. The rest of the dishes were also great; cauliflower and greens were less exciting but good. Service was also very good. I would easily recommend Byblos to anyone looking for a tasty meal!

    It’s so tucked away it’s almost hard to Find. But it’s a great find for sure. Small and cozy, great atmosphere and exceptional food and service. We loved it all! Had mostly the veggie fare since we had one in our group but the couple non veg sides we had were great.

    Waiter was excellent. Most of the dishes were good with the exception of the beef kebab which was actually roast beef and lacked flavour. The branzino was cooked perfectly.
