    The appetizers were really delicious and our favourite was olive oil and chocolate cake. That was the best chocolate cake I’ve had so far…super moist and just delicious. The service was great as well and it’s perfect for a dinner date.

    I was so impressed by Byblos (Uptown). Contrary to many restaurants in Toronto, that have Instagram-worthy interior design and decoration but poor quality food, Byblos' appearance matches the quality of its food. The food is simple, yet delicious. The flavours are well balanced, and the meat and seafood dishes are all succulent. I was also blown away by my Nightingale (I believe it was called) cocktail.

    I recently visited this restaurant to celebrate my brother’s birthday, but it left much to be desired. Here’s why: • No birthday acknowledgement, despite mentioning the occasion in our reservation, there was no recognition. It’s the little things that count. • Small portions & it’s pricey, the lamb pide was good but had very little meat and few slices which didn’t justify the price. • Underwhelming roast chicken, it resembled soup and lacked flavor. The roast chicken at the downtown location is superb! • Average service, I expected more. The rushed staff made us feel hurried. Spending over $200 should gurantee a relaxed meal. In summary, the resturant disappointed us on a special occasion. The lack of birthday acknowledge, small portions, and underwhelming dishes, along with rushed services, left us unsatisfied. We expected more for the price. While the Uptown location looks prettier, if you’re looking for better food, I’d recommend heading to the Downtown location instead!

    Very good service by Santiago! A true professional in the service at this restaurant. Chef Steve was tremendous and prepared a great meal for us and two friends, as we celebrated a birthday that night. GM Peter what is courteous and attentive.

    Our experience at Byblos was fantastic. The food was beyond delicious! Only my second time there and our waiter did not only give us amazing service, he was very helpful in recommending different dishes and how much we should order. It is best with at least four people. Most dishes are sharing and you get to experience a variety of tasty dishes. We will definitely be back again soon and bring friends and family. Vicki Blake

    We were four people on a light monday night and had to constantly look for the waiter for service. The experience took three hours and we were not ordering rounds of food. The waiter was not attentive to us specifically as I noticed him turning other tables. We ordered labneh to start (delicious), but they only brought one pita bread and we had to ask for another. Of course there was an extra charge, however, the amount of labneh called for two pitas as an appetizer for four, it should have been brought out as one order. The Halloumi was delicious, but very small for four. The main orders were good, but we had to order vegetable dish separately. The amount of vegetable in one order is very small. The menu was designed to upsell and the plate just looks sad without any accompaniments. Prices are high and the experience did not match the price.

    Our experience at Byblos was wonderfull. The food was really good. The lamb shoulder was outstanding! But everything else was delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant needs a revamp as it's clearly outdated. Old furniture and floors, poor light. But overall, it was a great experience and we'll definetely come back.

    From the get go, very accommodating staff for our reso. Our dinner started with great wine and info as needed to assist us in Making the best selections that would work best for the four of us to enjoy the best of the menu . Tons of food and just the right amount left over for a midnight snack at home. Server was very informing and made our experience why we come back! Five stars to service, cool staff and management.     A lovely restaurant! Tastefully organic (wicker pendant lighting, interesting wall hangings, intimate table groupings, soft ambient lighting). Very comfortable and relaxing. A bit noisy due to high ceilings. Patio unappealing due to Yonge Street traffic. Menu designed for sharing. Lamb shoulder fabulous and a generous portion. Stuffed eggplant and arugula with pear salad delicious. Definitely recommend if you like Middle Eastern cuisine.

    Gorgeous place with amazing food with unique and intense flavours. You need to try the market priced lamb. I love this spot for casual gatherings. Service was good, definitely better service at the downtown location

    I used to come here a lot because I loved the food and atmosphere. Our waitress yesterday was beyond rude and non helpful. On top of that, when given our bills. I see it’s programed to 20% tip right on spot as the smallest amount. Which is a lot to give someone who did not even bother serving us water.. I really think restaurant should focus on keeping their loyal customers and sway away from such practices because it will push customers away. I do not think I’ll go back. The tip percentage selection way beyond annoying . Especially with poor service

    Each dish was better then the next. We shared everything. Drinks and food and service was fantastic. Some parts of the menu were slightly pricey. Would go back for sure.

    First time visiting this restaurant and it was great from beginning to end. Courteous and friendly staff with excellent service. The food was all excellent. We had Labneh and Turkish Manti Dumpling appetizers, Short Rib Kebab and Stuffed Eggplant mains, Black Truffle Rice side, and a shared Chocolate Olive Oil cake dessert. That was too much for the two of us, but it was all really flavourful and nicely presented. Really tough to pick a favourite and there was nothing we wouldn’t happily order again. Decor is lovely and the tables are well-spaced. Noise level is low to moderate and not enough to interfere with easy conversation.As many others have said, it’s expensive. That dinner was about $175 including tax before tip without drinks - which are also pricey. Although that means it likely won’t be a frequent choice, we will definitely be back, even if only for special occasions.
