The service was perfect. Overall the food was 4.5. The steak was perfect. But the sides need a little working on. The mushrooms had no flavor, baked potatoe appeared to be old and the brussels maybe should be caramelized. Overall I still enjoyed the ambiance and the service
This was literally the worst service I’ve ever received at a “high-end” steak house in my adult life. Nice people, but we sat down at 8:30pm. No one took a drink order for 15 minutes. We didn’t get our first drinks for 20-25 min. We ordered oysters and asked for Tabasco. They gave us buffalo wing sauce. I ordered the filet and it was actually cooked to temperature perfectly ... but to my horror, on the plate was a side of A1 steak sauce! The steak had zero seasoning on it - hence the steak sauce. But who pays $65 for a steak that needs A1?? We asked to see a dessert menu and less than a minute after it was brought to our table, someone else walked over and put the check on our table. We were like, “okay, I guess we won’t get dessert!” It was just a very below average experience. I won’t go back ... not for that money. I can spend $250 on a meal elsewhere.
We were having an awesome night with my daughter & her friends when the manger came to tell us we were too loud for the bar area. So if you want a silent date night go for it, but if you want to talk look for some place else. Super disappointed ☹️
Excellent service from Alexandria. Loved the set up of tables in the room with bar close by. Food was hot, timely and delicious. We will dine there again!!!!
Hubby and I celebrated his birthday at C. Ellet's Steakhouse located in the Battery Atlanta. Service was outstanding as the Server checked on us frequently, explained the menu, and responded to our needs. First, the bread was some kind of large, shareable roll, that was delicious. The potato skin appetizer was delicious and highly favorable as these were probably the best potato skins I have ever tasted. Bacon for potato skins was also very flavorful, but chewy. Our other appetizer was Slow Cooked Benton's Bacon. Flavors of this appetizer bacon, sauce, and slaw were outstanding. Each component was delicious, but the perfect bite combining all three was very pleasing on the palate. Once again, however, the bacon was chewy. The Red Wine Braised Beef Short Rib entree was OK. The rib reminded me of a bone from the Flintstones cartoon because it was huge. The beef, while very tender, tasted like it was not seasoned at all. Fried onions on this entree were delicious and crunchy and whipped potatoes were delicious. The second entree was the Delmonico Rib eye with the side of macaroni and cheese. The steak was ordered medium well but arrived well done. This was not a problem because we prefer well done but never order well done because that typically means the steak will be too tough. Looking at the steak, I thought they burned it up! But, they did not. The steak was juicy, tender, and highly flavorful. I also enjoyed the sauce that accompanied the steak, even though it reminded me of Heinz 57. The macaroni and cheese arrived when we were almost finished eating so the Server voluntarily removed it from our bill. We did taste the macaroni and cheese before boxing it to go. It was not particularly flavorful, so the next time we will just stick with the whipped potatoes. We shared an OK slice of chocolate birthday cake with ice cream. Overall, Service was great, but Chefs made enough food mistakes for us not to recommend at the premium price point.
Great experience overall but the food did take a while to get tot our table.
Everything was great, however service was pretty slow.
Food was great; service was not very good. Our waiter was very attentive at first, but then would disappear for long stretches of time. He also asked us to order everything at once. We said yes, but only as long as the course were spaced out. They were not spaced out.
The service was excellent and our server, I think it was Dylan. He did an outstanding job explaining the menu and made sure that we were ok at the table. Thank you again and will definitely go back soon.
Excellent service and food!
Wedge salad with the bacon to start (the bacon is pretty amazing), 6 oz filet Oscar was delicious as it was seared/seasoned/medium-rare perfect, and very good Old Fashion's from the bar. Solid.
Disappointing for what we paid for. It just did not meet the mark.
Our service was great. The drinks were unique and fun. The food was excellent; oysters beautifully cleaned; Hen of the Woods deliciously prepared; and of course... Kobe beef!!!
Excellent addition to the Battery! Fabulous Steaks!
Great Service, server, atmosphere and food! A great spot!
Don’t go here if you’re looking for a true upscale dining experience. The photos are a bit confusing. The restaurant is half casual, half upscale. The back dining rooms are nice but the front is very casual and the restaurant is located right in the mix of the baseball stadium, which I did not realize upon reserving. You have to park in a parking deck and then walk over. The food was just okay. The sides were good but the steak was very disappointing. The only thing you could taste was char. This place is only cool if you’re casually at the Battery and decide you want a steak.
Im bias, this is my fav restaurant
It was definitely a beautiful elegant restaurant. Wonderful service, great food and the ambience made the perfect Valentine's day for me and my husband. We will visit again.
It was good! portion size not great, and pricey
Best steak ever!! Husband is vegetarian and he loved the variety of great tasting vegetables. This is our new monthly date restaurant!! Highly recommend!
Great option for Valentines Dinner!
Great food, service and experience!
Our food was outstanding. The steaks were cooked perfectly. Our server was Jason, he took very good care of us. most definitely would visit this restaurant again.
We had a wonderful early Valentine's day at C. Elliets. Jason was a gracious and patient server. The food was amazing. We will definitely return.
For the price point, food was average at best. The quality was lacking especially for the price you're paying for the food. Very disappointing....
Great service! Wait staff was wonderful, they worked together as a team. Perfect oysters, fillet Cooked just right and Mac and cheese was the best!
I really wanted to love C. Ellet’s. The decor, staff, and menu were very impressive. We ordered the scallops for an appetizer and they were delicious and complex served with Grits/onions. The wedge salad was a solid approach and the Benton’s bacon was thick cut, could have used more dressing. I ordered the strip steak and my date ordered the filet. My steak was medium and tasty but the texture of the meat was not what I expected for a prime steak. The filet was much better and done perfectly at medium rare. Our sides were the cream spinach which was amazing, the mushrooms were too smoky and not cooked all the way. Drinks and service exceeded expectations. The staff were over the top and our food was prepared in a timely manner. I would return and try other cuts of beef as my strip was a little dry. Definitely worth trying C. Ellet’s.
it took us 3 hours between our order and the three steaks we ordered and two sides to arrive for us to eat. The waitstaff service was EXCELLENT
Birthday . Extremely loud. Seated in bar. Would not return unless seated In main restaurant. Disappointed in overall experience and food extremely salty. Server polite but covering too many customers. For these prices, should have been a far better ambiance and overall value.
We had hoped to be in the quiet dining room but a private party booked it. We were placed in the club room. It was our anniversary. The Club Room was super noisy.
The food was extremely sub par for the price. Would not come here again.
Wait staff was attentive.
Worst service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. EVER. Zero accountability for mistakes, poor communication between back of house and front of house, and more screw ups with our food than I can count. Heard a different story from every person that came by (runner, waiter, manager) and none of them were consistent. The quality of the food was the only positive thing about it. You can tell this place lacks leadership. If they got a new manager and whole new wait staff I’d consider going back, but even then, probably not.....
The food was good, but the service was not up to the standard of a Linton Hopkins restaurant. Our server would disappear at times and he even forgot we had placed a cocktail order. After we asked about our cocktails and we still didn’t have them, I walked over to the bar and they were ready with ice melting.
When I made the reservation, Open Table let me select the dining room, bar or outside seating. Even though I chose the dining room, we were told upon arrival it had been bought out and were asked to sit in the bar area. They should have let us know in advance.
Hopefully this was just a bad night. We have had good experiences there before.
Our dinner was amazing. Our server was one of the servers I have had at any restaurant I have ever been too. They made my wife’s birthday so special.
Had to wait a bit after we sat down to order. The bread was amazing, the soup was awesome, but the Caesar salad left something to be desired. The steak was fantastic and the salmon was only OK. All of the sides were good.
We needed a larger table for our party of six. They gave our original table away to a party of two because the customer was very difficult but that meant we spent two hours crammed into a table meant for 5 at best and really 4. The good was good, the Mac and cheese and spinach were incredible. Our waiter was very helpful and made great recommendations; and the hostess was nice.
The ruby red shrimp appetizer was delivered to the table as pink shrimp in pairs of two. I wish the waiter would have said something rather than it being automatically substituted. Both the pork chop and the steak ( Delmonico ribeye) were chewy. The dinner plates came out before our appetizer plates were cleared. The server was very nice but the food was just not what our first experience was. We will now question going back.
The food was very good and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Except for our waiter. He was not very personable. There was some issues with our order, but our waiter didn’t seem to care. The service was very slow, however, it was New Years Eve and very busy.
Caesar Salad- not much flavor
Cocktails- very good.
Bacon appetizer - arrived lukewarm; taste was really good, accoutrements were fairly flavorless
Bread and butter - surprisingly good
Steak - porterhouse - absolutely fabulous cut of meat. Ordered medium-rare and stressed didn’t want it overcooked - arrived overcooked (waiter disagreed, despite no red in half the filet cuts) and over seasoned by a mile (think ballpark over seasoning). Most of filet was medium or well done, half strip was medium-rare, half was medium plus
Vegetables (broccolini)- over seasoned / salted almost to point of not being edible
The mealy truly could have been excellent. The raw ingredients were there; balance was way off. Meal overall was loaded with sodium (and this coming from someone who usually adds salt to every slice of meat).
So many good steak houses in Atlanta. Disappointed here.
Our table was not ready when we arrived for our reservation. The manager was nice enough to offer a round of drinks. 30 min later, table still not ready so they buy us an appetizer. We finally ask to sit in the bar area and they accommodate us. We finally sit down about 60 min after our reservation. Our server in the bar area was very slow and not very attentive. Our reservation was for 7:30 pm and we ended dinner at 11pm.
Food: I would give it a above average grade. Had the filet and it was good, but there are other spots in Atlanta I prefer. Also they were out of 2 beers on the menu, one of the dessert menu items as well.
Service: poor. Our waitress just wasn’t helpful. She was missing for many periods of time and extended an already long dinner due to the delay in getting seated. She also recommended a dessert and then returned to the table to let us know they were out of stock.
Management: I would give them high remarks. They tried to accommodate our delay by buying a round of drinks. Also stopped by the table and apologized once we were seated.
