Im bias, this is my fav restaurant
It was definitely a beautiful elegant restaurant. Wonderful service, great food and the ambience made the perfect Valentine's day for me and my husband. We will visit again.
It was good! portion size not great, and pricey
Best steak ever!! Husband is vegetarian and he loved the variety of great tasting vegetables. This is our new monthly date restaurant!! Highly recommend!
Great option for Valentines Dinner!
Our food was outstanding. The steaks were cooked perfectly. Our server was Jason, he took very good care of us. most definitely would visit this restaurant again.
We had a wonderful early Valentine's day at C. Elliets. Jason was a gracious and patient server. The food was amazing. We will definitely return.
For the price point, food was average at best. The quality was lacking especially for the price you're paying for the food. Very disappointing....
Great service! Wait staff was wonderful, they worked together as a team. Perfect oysters, fillet Cooked just right and Mac and cheese was the best!
I really wanted to love C. Ellet’s. The decor, staff, and menu were very impressive. We ordered the scallops for an appetizer and they were delicious and complex served with Grits/onions. The wedge salad was a solid approach and the Benton’s bacon was thick cut, could have used more dressing. I ordered the strip steak and my date ordered the filet. My steak was medium and tasty but the texture of the meat was not what I expected for a prime steak. The filet was much better and done perfectly at medium rare. Our sides were the cream spinach which was amazing, the mushrooms were too smoky and not cooked all the way. Drinks and service exceeded expectations. The staff were over the top and our food was prepared in a timely manner. I would return and try other cuts of beef as my strip was a little dry. Definitely worth trying C. Ellet’s.
it took us 3 hours between our order and the three steaks we ordered and two sides to arrive for us to eat. The waitstaff service was EXCELLENT
Birthday . Extremely loud. Seated in bar. Would not return unless seated In main restaurant. Disappointed in overall experience and food extremely salty. Server polite but covering too many customers. For these prices, should have been a far better ambiance and overall value.
We had hoped to be in the quiet dining room but a private party booked it. We were placed in the club room. It was our anniversary. The Club Room was super noisy.
The food was extremely sub par for the price. Would not come here again.
Wait staff was attentive.
Worst service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. EVER. Zero accountability for mistakes, poor communication between back of house and front of house, and more screw ups with our food than I can count. Heard a different story from every person that came by (runner, waiter, manager) and none of them were consistent. The quality of the food was the only positive thing about it. You can tell this place lacks leadership. If they got a new manager and whole new wait staff I’d consider going back, but even then, probably not.....
The food was good, but the service was not up to the standard of a Linton Hopkins restaurant. Our server would disappear at times and he even forgot we had placed a cocktail order. After we asked about our cocktails and we still didn’t have them, I walked over to the bar and they were ready with ice melting.
When I made the reservation, Open Table let me select the dining room, bar or outside seating. Even though I chose the dining room, we were told upon arrival it had been bought out and were asked to sit in the bar area. They should have let us know in advance.
Hopefully this was just a bad night. We have had good experiences there before.
Our dinner was amazing. Our server was one of the servers I have had at any restaurant I have ever been too. They made my wife’s birthday so special.
Had to wait a bit after we sat down to order. The bread was amazing, the soup was awesome, but the Caesar salad left something to be desired. The steak was fantastic and the salmon was only OK. All of the sides were good.
We needed a larger table for our party of six. They gave our original table away to a party of two because the customer was very difficult but that meant we spent two hours crammed into a table meant for 5 at best and really 4. The good was good, the Mac and cheese and spinach were incredible. Our waiter was very helpful and made great recommendations; and the hostess was nice.
The ruby red shrimp appetizer was delivered to the table as pink shrimp in pairs of two. I wish the waiter would have said something rather than it being automatically substituted. Both the pork chop and the steak ( Delmonico ribeye) were chewy. The dinner plates came out before our appetizer plates were cleared. The server was very nice but the food was just not what our first experience was. We will now question going back.
The food was very good and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Except for our waiter. He was not very personable. There was some issues with our order, but our waiter didn’t seem to care. The service was very slow, however, it was New Years Eve and very busy.
Caesar Salad- not much flavor
Cocktails- very good.
Bacon appetizer - arrived lukewarm; taste was really good, accoutrements were fairly flavorless
Bread and butter - surprisingly good
Steak - porterhouse - absolutely fabulous cut of meat. Ordered medium-rare and stressed didn’t want it overcooked - arrived overcooked (waiter disagreed, despite no red in half the filet cuts) and over seasoned by a mile (think ballpark over seasoning). Most of filet was medium or well done, half strip was medium-rare, half was medium plus
Vegetables (broccolini)- over seasoned / salted almost to point of not being edible
The mealy truly could have been excellent. The raw ingredients were there; balance was way off. Meal overall was loaded with sodium (and this coming from someone who usually adds salt to every slice of meat).
So many good steak houses in Atlanta. Disappointed here.
Our table was not ready when we arrived for our reservation. The manager was nice enough to offer a round of drinks. 30 min later, table still not ready so they buy us an appetizer. We finally ask to sit in the bar area and they accommodate us. We finally sit down about 60 min after our reservation. Our server in the bar area was very slow and not very attentive. Our reservation was for 7:30 pm and we ended dinner at 11pm.
Food: I would give it a above average grade. Had the filet and it was good, but there are other spots in Atlanta I prefer. Also they were out of 2 beers on the menu, one of the dessert menu items as well.
Service: poor. Our waitress just wasn’t helpful. She was missing for many periods of time and extended an already long dinner due to the delay in getting seated. She also recommended a dessert and then returned to the table to let us know they were out of stock.
Management: I would give them high remarks. They tried to accommodate our delay by buying a round of drinks. Also stopped by the table and apologized once we were seated.
Outstanding. Fun place in the Battery with great steak. Most steaks are from Allen Brothers in Chicago—some of the beat in the country. We had filet and NY strip. Both were cooked to perfection. We will be back. Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable.
The service wasn’t great but it was a Friday night so that’s to be expected. Food was good just a tad salty!
This was my 3rd visit to C Ellets. The first was good, but the last 2 times both the service and food quality were very poor. My wife ordered a small fillet medium well and she told them that if they needed to butterfly to get it cooked well, but they said they didn't need to. When we got out meal, the steak was burnt on the outside and rare on the inside. I ordered a NY Strip and about 10% of it was inedible because of the way it was trimmed.
For a Steak House of this caliber, I would expect flawlessly prepared steak and very attentive service. I received neither and since this is the second time this has happened, we will not be back.
Service and atmosphere was great! Steaks were too salty, however. We will be back for oysters and drinks!
Nice place with good food & reasonable prices for what you get. Service was a little slow, but not terrible.
Wait staff was horrible. Jason, our waiter (?), was not attentive nor did he act like he cared that we were dinning. The bread was the best thing we ate, but had to ask for it half way through our meal. The next and only good thing we ate were the scallops.
I wouldn’t eat here again if they were giving it away.
Made reservations for 7 on a Tuesday for our anniversary. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table to open up. We were surprised how busy(and loud) it was. Most tables were booked with businessmen. After we were seated we reviewed the menu and ordered. It was nearly 9 pm before our food arrived. The server was wonderful and he kept us updated and discounted our bill for the long wait. While that was appreciated it made for a late night- finished dinner at 10 and up early for work Wednesday. Food was good but for the overall experience I think I’d revisit my favorite steakhouse in Vinings next time.
My Steak was WAY over salted, the hen of the woods mushrooms were not salted at all. They fired another steak and missed the temp by a country mile. They did comp the steak, but this was a business meeting and my guest stated he has a much better steak house he uses. It was unfortunate since I have had a few good meals here, not great, but good. The last two were sub par which is unfortunate, and the reason I wrote this time and not last as I thought it was just an off night.
Fantastic waiter and amazing food!
We made reservations via open table for 8:30pm. We got there and were noticed there wasn’t a table available. We did not get seated until over an hour later. They told us the reservations before us showed up and hour late yet they let them sit at our table knowing they would likely still be seated when we arrived. I understand that it’s a tough situation but with SUCH limited space and options to sit large parties they should have handled it differently. This really put a damper on what was supposed to be a special night out with friends.
A great dining experience! They put their own spin on the clam chowder.. different from any I have ever had but Great!! reallly delicious. The service was excellent.. very friendly and courteous staff. My Fiance and I plan to visit again.
One of the best steaks in Atlanta and superb wine selections. Can't wait to go back. Best shrimp EVER! It does seem to be fresh! Enjoy everything about it!
Awesome steakhouse in the Battery. Perfectly done steaks with a host of delicious sides, and fresh seafood to boot. This is my go to restaurant.
Amazing Food !
This is definitely a steakhouse, but the seafood is amazing! Crab cakes and lobster are highly recommended. The service is okay. Seems like they are going through the motions and don’t genuinely care. If you do happen to have an issue with the experience do not expect the managers to do anything about it. They essentially tell their guests a poor experience is a lost cause. It is pricey. There are better options for similar quality food at a similar price with much better service and I would advise going there over here.
We loved our dinner at C. Ellet’s! My husband had the filet and I had the grouper ~ we chose Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts for sides....they did not disappoint! And that bread they brought out before our meal was unbelievable! So good! We will definitely go back. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention our server, Alexandria, and her phenomenal service! She was very knowledgeable about the entire menu and was absolutely delightful!
Everything was great except they hassled me about validating the parking. Two waiters told me parking would be validated, but that I needed to see the hostess. The hostess gave me grief and said they only validate on “event” days. We were, in fact, going to an event at the Roxy. They eventually validated. This is too nice a restaurant to leave a negative last impression. None of the other restaurants ever quibble over validating parking.
