Risotto was recommended and enjoyed. Scallop meal delightful. Sous Vide Porkchop meal declared delicious. Sticky Toffee pudding was oohed over and deliciousness shared ..a wee bit. All loved that local fare was used. Delicious! We 8 enjoyed a lovely meal and desserts.

Wonderful food, loved the farm to table concept. The menu was excellent only problem I had was deciding what to have as all entrees sounded delicious. The flavour was first class and the service impeccable. It was so lovely not to be rushed , and the desserts were as good as the main course.

Amazing meal and service! I'd rank this one of the top meals of my life, I even thought about going a second night in a row! All farm (or sea) to table and local. I started with the Nova Scotia Cocktail (made with local vodka) and crab cakes (locally sourced) accompanied by a delicious salad. For my main, I enjoyed a delicious local haddock served with scalloped potatoes and vegetables and paired this with a local Nova Scotia white wine. The star of the meal was the Winter in Baddeck dessert - house-made maple ice cream, topped with torched meringue and served with local maple vodka. My mouth is watering just thinking about this meal again. If you are ever in or near Baddeck, run to The Cable Room!

We had high hopes for this place, but sadly we were disappointed. The soys vide pork was dry. How does that happen? The scalloped potatoes were gray. The haddock sauce surprised my husband because it had dill in it and he dislikes dill and never would’ve ordered it had he known.

Everything in the menu is gluten free, and while my husband is not gluten free, he said it was the best meal we had during our two-week vacation. He had stuffed pork tenderloin and I had the brioche biscuit appetizer followed by vegetable risotto with tenderloin.

Wonderful fine dining experience in a centre of Baddeck. Dining room is decorated with light colours, warm lighting, linen covered tables and comfortable chairs. Set the ambiance for a great gluten free meal cooked with care and flair. We had the Haddock dinner and Risotto with Lobster. Only quibble would be the lobster with the regular Risotto amounted to one piece. The flavour was very good but you need to pay a substantial extra amount for extra pieces of lobster presumably. Strawberry dessert was home made ice cream with almond biscuit and whipped cream. The ice cream was excellent. Coffee in a French press was also a nice touch. Really nice experience for dinner.
