The happy hour menu is currently available at the bar, as well as all indoor and outdoor tables. Please note, our All-Day & Brunch menus are not available from 3-5pm on Saturdays. We only offer the happy hour menu from 3-5 on Saturdays while the kitchen switches over from brunch to dinner service.

Took 35 minutes to get our drinks and an appetizer. Didn’t even get to order a main meal before we bailed. Others were noting how no one had food in our area. Went 6/9/2023 at 7:30pm.

We celebrated a birthday and had a great time. The menu is diverse and lots of choices for all - we had pastas and a Reuben (and was told it was delicious). The restaurant has a pretty view of the Potomac River. Service was friendly and responsive.

great food and beautiful view. service was very slow, took 20 min to get first drinks and another 10 for the appetizer. server was nice but kitchen very slow. hopefully they can rectify staff and service when they expand the restaurant.

Always very pleasant experience , between the view, the well-prepared food, the professional and welcoming service, and reasonable prices. We are local residents and repeat customers who have lots of options to choose among along the Alexandria waterfront, and Cafe 44 remains a favorite.

My friend brought me here for brunch last month. It was fabulous. So when I invited neighbors out to dinner I wanted to try dinner. It was, again, fabulous. The service is exceptional and our server was friendly and attentive. Two of us ordered the Chilean sea bass. Omg, it was delicious. I savored every bite. Generous portions of fish, asparagus and I asked to substitute the cauliflower puree with rice. No problem! Others had the Creole shrimp pasta - a winner. The lobster bisque, awesome. Ahi tuna salad was okay. Of course the view of the Potomac is outstanding and while we sat inside next time I'll be on the terrace. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and were given friendly goodbyes when we left. Highly recommend this amazing little restaurant tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Alexandria.

The Staff is very accommodating; we asked to move inside because of the wind(great view from the balcony!). The salmon salad was ordinary but the pasta with pear and walnut was flavorful. The drinks were refreshing.

This restaurant is a gem. The weather the day I was there was perfect for sitting outside; and our server (Sarah C.) was attentive, polite, not intrusive, and very pleasant. The food was excellent (crab dip; lobster roll; Rachel on brioche). A lovely lunch, and a place I will visit again.

It became very noisy when people sat down & there was lots of noise from the kitchen of dishes clashing against each other. The table to our left was filled & their conversations were loud & at times I could not hear my companion. Great view of river & shoreline. Food was good, but not outstanding. The Mac & cheese was ok but I’ve had better. Server (Tony) was very good, but seemed to have too many tables to serve. I asked 3 different staff people to refill my iced tea, & finally got a refill after 20 minutes. Different

My fiance had the shrimp & grits & let me just say this…she’s usually the one picking at my plate but roles were reversed here! The shrimp were a great side & the consistency of the grits was on point! I had a steak omelette that was also very delicious! The views were A1 & service was awesome! Definitely plan on coming back!
