As always, the food, wine and service was very good. There was a large party celebrating a 50th birthday which could have been managed better by the staff. The noise from that particular group and the manner in which they took over the upstairs dinning area spoiled a special celebration for my fiancé and me. Other diners looked equally disturbed by their over exuberance.

Being allergic to onion, one would imagine it impossible to eat at a French restaurant. At Cafe Lyon, I'm always looked after and they are always happy to alter a dish to suit. I really appreciate this and that's why I keep coming back. Great food and helpful staff.

We had scallop bisque and escargots to share for entree but had quite a lot of problems getting a spare bowl to share the soup. At one point out untouched soup was taken back to the kitchen when a repeated request was made for a bowl. Both were pleasant enough but nothing special. The duck confit was nice although would have improved with some extra jus.

Love the food. 5 of us all enjoyed our meal. Nice staff and quick responses for our request. Salmon, sirloin steak and also duck are sooo delicious Both of my 11 and 15 sons enjoyed their first attempt of escargot. Highly recommended.

Requested Gluten Free when booking and asked again when ordering, soup arrived with bread in it. Thank god I checked again. Then sat waiting for my entree to return, while my husbands entree went cold. Lack of attention either in the kitchen or on the floor. we had to keep double check before eating each meal, did not feel confident in their knowledge of gluten free. Waiter said I will leave the cream out! Expected more from this style of restaurant.

Overall we were very happy with this little gem in Roseville. It would have been nice to have been acknowledged the same as our fellow grey-haired diners, as we felt that we did not receive the same level of service that everyone around us.

one of my most favourite restaurants on the North Shore for a special night out with loved one. We have been 4 times now and always had fabulous meal and service. Great value for money with the set price for 2 or 3 courses. Highly recommend.

It was a very busy Saturday night but the service was good and the food an excellent example of French Bistro dining. They were catering for a large group but the entrees and mains arrived promptly. The dessert was slow but we were warned about this by the staff and rather foolishly chose to ignore this. Entrees and mains were substantial enough so not everyone ordered dessert which was slow as predicted. However, by way of apology we were pleasantly surprised when dessert was on the house.

We had a party of ten, 2 of whom arrived late but that was not a worry to the staff. The food was beautiful and everyone loved the dish they had. We will be returning and certainly recommending the restaurant. The staff was friendly and efficient.
