I took my daughter and three teenage grandchildren to Rosin Shingle Creek for Mother's Day 2023. They all declared that it was their favorite of all the buffet holiday meals that we had been to for many years. Even the 14 year old computer geek (who doesn't talk much and only eats a few foods) was the first to exclaim "This is the best place that we have ever been to!" We'll be back at least three times a year Mother's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Instead of cooking at my house where the teenagers will be hanging out with their phones most of the time, I have two solid hours with my most beloved. We have the most lively conversations and laugh a lot. They call it their "tradition," and I do too! Ellen Berry

We were at Cafe Osceola specifically for the Mother’s Day brunch. The reservation was for 3:15 but we arrived at 2:50 and were able to be seated. While there was a wide variety of food offerings all of the hot foods were cold. The stations throughout the restaurant should have been monitored by the staff to ensure it is clean at all times, and children are not using their hands and picking over the food. The table service was extremely slow for basic items, such as coffee at the end of the meal and fountain drinks throughout the meal. For the price of the brunch there should’ve been more attention to the details.

I understand that not everyone is vegan, but I am and was certainly limited more than usual (I felt) for the mother's day brunch. With plant-based becoming more popular, maybe clearly marking plant-based options would help people like me (at least for things that aren't obvious). Such as, I had an issues at the salad bar. Dressings were labelled as a group, "assorted dressings". I asked if the one appearing to be Italian dressing was dairy free, I was told yes, and then was found heading back to my table and told it wasn't. So then I went back and rebuilt a new plate, and requested oil. Overall it was an okay experience, server wasn't great either (sloppy with pours and collecting plates), so it sucked I had no control over the service fee.

The selection was fantastic! the food quality was basic. A lot of the warm food was served barely warm even though under a heat lamp, the presentation of food was had golden coral vibes; meaning there wasn't really decorations around the displays. At this point we would have much rather gone ahead and paid $60/more a head to go to the four seasons or the ritz's buffets... or we will go to a high end restaurant next year. There were 6 adults at my table and we all agreed that the quality of food was subpar and somewhat tasteless. Maybe we're just spoiled? However the staff was super friendly, helpful and kind. We recommend saving your money and skipping this location; a full on meal at the capital grille would have been better.

The Easter Brunch had a great assortment of food for all tastes. There were so many different sections to choose from, and the lines were always short so waits weren't long and boring. The dessert table was full of delicious treats and a even a chocolate fountain. The service was lacking as we had trouble trying to get drinks refilled and plates cleared. After speaking with a manager, this was resolved and the remainder of the meal was great. The price was definitely high, but not sure what their normal meals serve on regular days, so this is hard to compare. Overall a great Sunday Easter Brunch with my family. Also be aware that with handicap parking, even though there are spots near the entrance, the hotel forces you to valet to use those spots, or makes you walk from self parking. Didn't make any sense, but be prepared to pay to use a handicap tag.

Check-in was hectic and the staff was rude. The reservation was for 10 people and they set up a table for 14 against the wall in a confined space within the restaurant. We had to wait for them to set up another table, but it was next to the service area. Ironically, I stopped by the restaurant in the morning to request a table that was not near the service area. I asked the manager for a better table but he did not accommodate my request. It was not a pleasant experience.

Beware! With no warning they eliminated the Florida resident discount. Meal for 1 ... nearly $125! Includes a 26% service fee. I don't know about you but I feel this is exorbitant for a buffet. I'll never eat here again.

This is an excellent Easter brunch. Great for families. Decorations, ice sculpture, chocolate creations, there is even an Easter bunny and a photographer. The staff is on point and everywhere ..they are ready to be of service. Lots of smiles. Management staff was even involved and friendly. The food does not disappoint, each station is set-up to impress. There is something for everyone and all ages can find their favorites. Seafood, sushi, omelets, pasta station, taco bar, paella and so much more. No one goes home hungry. The dessert table is really amazing.

This Easter was a total waste. After over ten years being loyal to Harris Rosen and his establishment we were absolutely disappointed with this year’s Easter Brunch. First they removed the forever Florida resident loyalty discount without notifying anyone. Two they removed many of the favorites we look forward too. The food was under quality compared to the past. We are very sad to no longer return to this event as we grew three generations of family going there for Easter.

We made reservations for breakfast at this restaurant for each morning of our 3-night stay. We were looking forward to starting our days off with a nice meal. Unfortunately, this was not it. We chose to order a la carte versus the buffet. Our orders were simple: eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. How could they mess this up, right? Well, let me tell you how! The scrambled eggs were undercooked and the over-medium eggs were over-hard. The bacon was dried out - not crispy, just tough. The hash browns were very brown - in fact, they were burnt to a crisp! Honestly, I wish we had taken pictures of our meals so I could share them here. In retrospect, we should’ve sent the food back and I don’t know why we didn’t. We didn’t eat our food (well, I ate the eggs and some toast because I was starving). The waitress must have noticed that we didn’t eat our food but she didn’t say a word. We just paid our bill and left. We will find other options for the rest of our stay.

We went for New Year's Eve dinner, so it was pricier than usual and had a 26% service charge built in from the beginning. That's totally fine, I always tip 18-20% and I get giving more for a busy, stressful holiday dinner. The food was great! 5 stars, big buffet with tons of choice and well-cooked. The problem was the service, which I would give 0 stars. It was literally the worst service I've ever received, and it sucks because it was a big splurge we had put money aside for after a pricey holiday season. I've worked a lot in the service industry and consider myself pretty patient and understanding because I know what it's like to get rude, entitled customers. But we weren't that. We went 15 mins without being acknowledged when first seated, and when we were finally acknowledged he mentioned nothing about the wait and the only thing he said was "can I get you some water or champagne?". For the rest of the evening, we had to flag him down every single time we wanted more water, a refill of the "unlimited" champagne, or to clear plates to make room at our table. No, seriously, he didn't come back of his own accord once, we would have to wave him over maybe every 20 minutes and often we would ask him for more drinks and it would take another 20 minutes or so to come back with the beverage. And no, he wasn't slammed with tables, he was going at quite a leisurely pace and obviously just didn't see the big deal; you could tell he was exasperated and annoyed every time we asked him politely to provide us drinks or clear our plates ("ok, ok, I'm coming"). So a 26% service charge for someone to get annoyed with you to do literally the bare minimum. You could go and have a better experience than us, but I probably would go elsewhere for our next big dinner in order to not risk fighting for a glass of water or some space at the table the whole night lol

Most all food was excellent as usual but with a few exceptions. Like Thanksgiving, the dressing was runny and pretty disgusting and the desserts are inconsistent- some wonderful and some pretty bad. The 26% required service fee brings the total cost per person to about $100 so the value is fair at best

Over the years the quality and variety of the food has gone downhill! We have been coming here for over a decade and I’m sorry to say I can no longer recommend this restaurant for special occasions and holidays. The food on the hot line was warm at best. They eliminated or reduced several types of serving stations. Desserts were stale and with little taste. Not up to the Rosen standards as in the past.

We're seated the wine glasses were dirty and covered with finger prints we asked the waiter for clean glasses he brought out cleaner glasses then the waiter held the pitcher of water up and looked in it 'not a good thing' like he saw something in the water then poured the water in our glasses that had white flakes in it looked like food, so we asked to speak to a manager at that point so he brought out bottled water instead we were the only party drinking bottled water which made it kind of weird considering how many people were dining around us that were drinking out of a glass, they never asked us what we wanted to drink other than the water disaster I had to ask for iced tea 45 minutes in after being seated, later upon finishing up our dinner the manager walks over to our booth and leans over the table and didn't say anything after a moment of uncomfortable silence he asked is everything okay now? that's weird lol 'Note' we dine here every year for Thanksgiving or Christmas sorry to say this was disappointing experience This is not Rosen standard that we're use to we'll still go to Land Remembered that's an awesome restaurant
