   I think personally one of the keys to a successful restaurant is consistency. Cafe Sidney Mae has that key! I recommend you try them!

   The atmosphere, the food, service, friendliness. Everything was amazing. Hands down the best restaurant we’ve been to in terms of quality and home feeling. The owners David and Cheryl were amazing, from helping bus tables to cooking, to running out food. The servers were top notch, food and drinks were the best we’ve come across. Will become a regular here for many years to come!

   Took my fiancee to celebrate her birthday and our recent engagement....the atmosphere of this place was electric, the live music was some of the best we have heard in recent memory...the food was beyond ubelievable...I had the grlled Mahi and I would have to say it was the best fish I have ever eaten in my 56 years....my fiancee had the filet mignon and she said it was the tenderest and most tasteful she has ever had...if I lived in Breaux Bridge, LA....I would most definetly eat her at least twice a week if not more often...the prices are very fair and comparable to other nice restraunts..the owner visited with every table, she was a delight to visit with....and our waitress Brandy was such a caring beautiful soul....she treated us like family from the time we sat til when we left 3 hours later....all the staff were energetic, friendly...it felt like a big family party....me ad fiancee are now looking for a weekend or getwaway home Breaux Bridge....

   Great food, cool atmosphere and live music combined for a great date night. Hush puppies, grilled.Mahi with corn macque shoe and a second grilled Mahi with creamed spinach. The live music was a treat and nice addition. The menu offers a good span of.price ranges from appetizers to high end steaks and sides. We opted for wine, but they always have fun specialty cocktails.

    We celebrated a birthday with a party of 8 and had a wonderful time. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. We had reservations and the table was ready as soon as we arrived. The food was awesome and the portions were a nice size for the price. Every single person enjoyed their meal, which is a first with 8 different palates. The ambience was nice and the music was good. It was a nice outing. We will definitely be back. Our server also treated our mom with bread pudding.

    I think ceiling tiles that absorb more sound would be beneficial. Over all quality of food and service were great. Was disappointed to see the error and laziness of one staff member cause an accident of another. Then the lazy member didn't take responsibility for her lack of attention. Glad to know the other staff member was fine after the accident. I was also appreciative to watch the owners pitch in to help serve and clear tables. If the price were to come down just a couple dollars per menu item for a few of the things then I think the price would match the quality more fairly. Would eat here again.

    We had a wonderful time other the table we were placed at. I reserved a table in advance for a special 40th birthday. They placed us at a high top table, two uneven tables pushed together, very uncomfortable chairs. They treated the reservation like walk ins that they just accommodated. So that part was very disappointing. And no special anything for the birthday. Other that, food was good, server was sweet, and band was amazing, making our time worthwhile Not sure about going back. .

    Food excellent. 40 women party a little overwhelming. Service left my Bloody at bar to go to kitchen for 5 minutes…. Someone else brought it since it had sat so long….. brought a plate and asked what I ordered…. Not my plate.All else wonderful.

    Had not eaten at Cafe’ Sydney Mae in a year. Food was Outstanding. The Servers are Friendly, Caring, and Aim to Please. The live music was Fantastic and the owners are committed to Customer Service and Food Quality. Can’t wait to go back.

    Started with the fried eggplant / lump crap topped with meunière sauce- first time! Absolutely delicious. Main dish- we both had the grilled flounder- terrific! Some asparagus - perfectly grilled. Jodi had the creamed spinach which she said “second best ever! (Grandma’s was #1!” Finished with the bread pudding (because the soufflé was not available that day) really, really good. Jodi stated that although the soufflé was not available, it would be a tossup as to which to pick if both were available. The owner commented as we went out the door -“sorry about the soufflé- next time call ahead and let our chef Dave know so he can have it ready for you!” Excellent small business with attentive staff serving outstanding meals. Our fourth visit as we travel through Louisiana. Highly recommend.

    We so enjoyed (drooled over) our Sydnie Mae brunch in October that it was top of our list for our return visit to Lafayette/Breaux Bridge this spring - and it did not disappoint! I had the Hebert omelette (again), and my husband had the Cajun Irish Woman (again), and both were just as amazing as we'd so fondly remembered - as was the bread pudding that we shared for dessert! The service is wonderful, the owner is so personable and eager to please, the atmosphere is festive yet still quiet enough for conversation. In a nutshell, Cafe Sydnie Mae is a treasure in every way!

    A group of seven of us ate there, two out of three nights while in Breaux Bridge for the crawfish festival. The owner stopped by to make sure we were having a great time and our server Cynthia was fantastic! Their bread, the teche Wellington, the crawfish, stuffed mushrooms, and the shrimp and grits were all amazing! It’s a must when in town!!

    Great intimate space with exposed brick walls and art featuring local culture and flare. Service is great. Ownership is genuinely interested in the customer having a great time. Live music was nice, not too loud and accentuated the experience. Food was excellent. My gumbo was made to a different taste than I prefer, but that was more to do with personal preference than the fault of the kitchen.

    Arrived for a family brunch, and was absolutely blown away by the greatness ! The food was outstanding, staff was friendly & eager to please us! Loved the music and the ambience !     The food was amazing. We tried the Filet and also one of the specials. Our main reason for going was for the music. It was french jazz that evening. Unfortunately, even sitting pretty close all you could here was the piano/keyboard. You could not here the singing at all. I felt bad for the singer. With the loud talking of all the patrons, she was basically ignored. I wish they could have turned her microphone up a bit.

    This is a gem! Our server, Lacey, was an absolute delight. Start your experience with a great cocktail: I like lemon-drop martinis, but theirs with fresh basil was beyond delicious. We shared the eggplant with lump crabmeat appetizer, and had could have licked the sauce off the plate! My husband had the linguini with crabmeat, and I had the Pasta Sadie Mae with grilled shrimp, and both were absolutely delicious. The owner came and visited with us while we had dessert, which we also thoroughly enjoyed. This is worth a road trip!

    Lively, great waiters and personnel, seafood to die for. Only problem was chicken and waffles both fried in syrup. Too sweet. Order plain and add your own syrup. Great place!
