   Hubby and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with our besties from Ottawa. Our friends made sure that the staff knew this and they gifted us with a complimentary dessert and the singing of "Happy Anniversary" as the server brought the plate. Both servers were great, however... Service was incredibly slow throughout the entire meal; understaffed perhaps? Meals and drinks were overpriced for what we got. My husband ordered the "catch of the day" and was not convinced of its freshness at all. I ordered the chicken marsala and instead of being tender and flavourful, the chicken was dry and overcooked (the sauce was very good). Overall, the four of us were disappointed with the evening.

   La nourriture était excellente tant les pâtes aux fruits de mer, la lotte poisson du jour et l’osso bucco. Le morceau de gâteau pour souligner un anniversaire a été très apprécié.

   Cocktail was not good, limes were shrivelled up and flavourless, pasta was gross, stuck together, over salted, inedible. $60 steak should come with potato side (have to purchase separately), steak was over fine and chewy. Dessert portion was minuscule and over priced.

    Such a nice place to go after work! Colour people and Food! And we both my husband and I love Italian food. I especially love the Italian Wedding Soup :) And my husband is loving your "catch of the day" Thank you for all the kind service everyone there provides.     Our reserved table was ready upon arrival. Pace of service was great as were the serving staff. Starter caesar salad was very good but the filet ordered medium rare was dry.

    I ordered the most expensive meal on the menu (tenderloin steak) and it was average at best. Lots of fat and not very flavorful. Ordered 2 Mojitos and they didn’t taste right. We were not satisfied with the quality of the food and drink. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we were very disappointed.

    Mother's day brunch was wonderful. The 5 course meal plus the fresh pastries to start were all delicious and extremely filling. My first time at this restaurant and would definitely recommend .

    Food overall was great. Waitress was a sweetheart as all in there are. Our only negative is that the water glasses weren't refilled as often as we would have liked. We wouldn't say the atmosphere is energentic it was just loud

    We were disappointed that the menu didn’t explain what the dish included. The menu is a bit cryptic. Also, there should be an option for regular pasta and a basic sauce. We were told they couldn’t make any exception. We wanted a pasta with bolognese sauce for a picky eater. The service was OK.

    The entire team at Caffé Italiano are excellent in every aspect of the food service business. A testament to the quality of food and service is that we keep going back. It has become one of our favourite venues despite living 35 minutes away.

    I enjoy a meal here every Saturday night, they cook the best ribeye steak compared to any other restaurant in Ottawa and I have been at many. The service is excellent and the staff are friendly

    I like the restaurant and the staff are great. The price for the steak is too much considering the tenderloin is very small and cost nearly 50.00. It was Friday night and it was empty and we were a table of 4. As we talk about it we all felt the food is just too expensive. The portions were reasonable - but again the value is not there. The variety is great - adding new items is great too!

    Place was cold inside. My ribeye steak had a lot of fat on it, not a great piece of meat. It was delicious but fatty. Prefer the watercress salad to the tomatoes, much better.

    The service really was outstanding. We had a fantastic server. The food was mediocre at best. The dessert was stale. Prices aren't cheap. I assume that management figures everyone will pay with points, so price doesn't matter. The brunch I had was far superior to dinner.

    Expensive for what was served. Steaks were not served with sides (other than watercress!). Osso bucco was flavorless and swimming in grease. Polenta was gritty and underwhelming. The temperature in the restaurant was unbearable. Our poor server was sweating to death. For over $260, I would expect something better.

    Was cold where we sat Thought steak would have come with potatoes and vegetables instead of 3 half carrots not cooked ,sent back only came with 3 smaller ones that were also raw Steak was ok and my husband's lasagna was also good Not sure if we'll try again
