    I had the Tuscan beef it was amazing and prepared exactly to my specified doneness. My friend loved the Parmesan fries. You can get an add-on of lobstertail. Yummy! Don't forget to have pannacota for dessert. They do have more chocolatey choices for those who are into chocolate. Service was warm and friendly and very attentive. Love this place!

    The food is amazing and ther Servers are excellent. Best hits of the night were the bruschetta, Italian wedding soup, calamari and the beef tenderloin. It's always great.

    Staff were very friendly, food was delicious (both my companion and I ordered the stuffed ravioli), and the ambiance was chic-casual. Value for money was decent, given today’s high prices.

    A hidden gem. Steak was succulent, well seasoned cooked to perfection and hot! Fish of the day was flaky and crisply pan fried and the Bread.....yummy soft and warm. Dessert was heaven. Our servers were so genuinely friendly and really made the night special. Will be back soon

    Staff were wonderful and attentive.Food was delicious. Appetizers bruschetta and Caesar salad were good. The mushroom stuffed ravioli were delish but we could have had another 4 or 5 pieces. 7 or 8 is not a lot. Lasagna was piping hot and a good portion. Desserts were yummy. Decor was simple and clean. Exactly what we needed to make our visit to the casino enjoyable.

    The foccacio was awesome. The mussels were awesome. The lasagna not so good. The usso bucco was fine but the polenta it was served on was watery and not right with the usso bucco. Should have been served with risotto which is also on the menu. We were too full for dessert but I am they would have been delicious. People at the next table had the chicken and pasta dish and it looked very good.

    Service was very good. The only problem was my meal was cold. The staff did not hesitate to warm my meal & was very apologetic. I found it a little over priced, but enjoyed it very much

    Was at Caffe Italiano Sept.16th. 6 pm Was quite cool inside. Our Server gave us our menu and did not see her again until it was time to pay the bill. THERE WAS NO " QUALITY CHECK " to see if our food was OK.?? I did not mind all the TV's in the place but it confuses me , if this is to be more of a high end restaurant or a sports bar?? I understand when there is horse racing. The restaurant was at about 30% capacity when we arrived and about 50% when we left at about 7:30. This was our second visit and probably will not go back for quite a while.

    Service was hard to come by to start. I had wanted mussels but they were S/O We only have sm appetites & found not a lot of sm items on menu.pizza was excellent as was eggplant parmigiana. I was disappointed they didn’t have runners for the betting.Also the elevator & escalator were out of order.

    Very nice place. Food, service awesome. Just wish I could have heard the announcer introduce each race and be able to go in the starting gate for 1 race. Will certainly go back.

    We enjoyed our evening at Cafe Italiano at Rideau Carleton. There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed our meals and appetizers, as well as desserts. The service was very friendly and efficient. The only part we did not love is how cold the AC was in there. We all kept our jackets on the whole night. The horse races were very exciting to watch! A very fun night out.

    This restaurant has really improved. The service is excellent as is the food with the exception of the bread that came first. It was too soft and hard to pick up. There’s nothing like a good crusty bun with butter. We all shared the caesar salad, which was plenty for 3 and we had the lasagna which was really good. The house wine was excellent, both red and white.

    Despite GF options are available on website turned out not even salad was an option; there was a GF pasta but no one knew what kind it would be; no GF bread even, no beef. 2 other diners hit a very small hochi bowl for $20. We were sat in front of kitchen, with extremely noisy table on next level, with about 20 people. We couldn't hear ourselves talk. Music loud and obnoxious. We will not return.

    We very much enjoyed our dinner at Caffe Italiano. The food was very good and well presented. The waitress was very pleasant and provided one of our guests, who was celebrating a birthday, with a lovely carrot cake with a candle - nice touch. Our only constructive comment would be to ensure that diners have access to the call of the race itself. After all, that is the purpose of coming to eat at the track. It left us wondering if we were at a local restaurant downtown, rather than having the full experience of live horse racing.

    Not worth it at all. Food quantity and quality is poor to average. They try to sell an upscale restaurant and there are hicks yelling at the top of their lungs .

    I ordered 2 dinners to be prepared the same way. One was cooked correctly the other was cooked in properly. They offered to correct the problem but that meant I wouldn't be eating dinner with my partner. Other parts of the meal was very expensive for the amount I received.

    Firstly, the food was fantastic, combined with great service, friendly and welcoming. The little surprises of fresh warm bread brought to the table was very nice. Loved the pasta with clams, shrimp and mussels. It was perfect. The one negative was that the noise level was high due to the echo. Perhaps, a little attention to noise dampening materials in the dinning areas would help. The excitement from the races was good and part of the fun. Loved the service and realy good menu options.
