   Amazing dinner only negative was a lot of flies out front and the chairs are kind of metaly and hard to sit in outside and there was a long hair in the jerk chicken but I don’t really care about hair LOL

   My visits to Canje are always the highlight of my week. The food is always spot on and the service is incredible. We really couldn’t ask for a better evening. We even spotted Tyson Cole as an added treat.

    My 1st visit I had the Jerk Chicken and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Today I had to come back and it was not the same. I wrote a review and it was received by one of the staff members that wanted to make it right and 2 days after they refunded my order. That’s great customer service! Now I shall go back one more time and hope to get the best I’ve had experience again. Thanks for caring!

    The service was not good. Our waitress was not attentive at all. We waited over 50 minutes for our entrees. Do not get the pork Guajillo. It was flavorless and the meat was so fatty. After we asked why our food was taking so long the waitress never came back to check on us. It was truly a long and disappointing dining experience.

    We went to Canje for a birthday dinner. We ordered the roti, fried cod, wagyu curry, and jerk chicken for two people. The food was amazing and the four dishes were plenty for two. The prices felt reasonable for the portion size but so be aware the mains do not include sides so recommend ordering roti/rice etc to have with your main dish. The ambiance and service was fantastic. It does get pretty noisy but we were still able to have a conversation across the table.

    I really enjoyed the jerk chicken (very spicy), the roti, the pink pineapple and plantain chips. The cocktails are creative and refreshing, though pricey. Waiter gave us excellent descriptions and suggestions. Dessert - we tried pineapple upside down cake and tres leches. Both were delicious, but the table all agreed that tres leches was the winner. It had a slightly fruity flavor that gave it this really fun flavor.

    Outstanding cocktails, food and service. Listen to the waiters and go out on a limb. Only critique is the music was VERY LOUD for our 6pm reso. I get its a vibe, but I also think you can start at a fun but reasonable volume for early resos while restaurant is still half full and get it cranking later in the evening. Had trouble hearing waiter and folks at my own table at points. Could not bring my dad here, he has a hearing aid and would have been completely deaf and uncomfortable at that volume. Otherwise, 10/10 reccomend! Will be back!

    The food is here is outstanding. No notes. No issues. Each bite was amazing. The look, the taste, the smell. I cannot describe the perfection of the food. The service could have been better. I was out of a drink for a long time before anyone checked on us. I had a hard time hearing servers when they described the food. This is in large part to the incredibly loud music blaring. As such, the patrons, including myself were shouting to be heard. I will 100% return, but I will demand to sit on the patio if only to hear myself think.

    The Jerk chicken is outstanding and is a great portion size for one. Pairs great with the fried sweet plantains. Really nice atmosphere and staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Was worth the two month wait for reservations.

    Everything about the place is fabulous. Our second time at Canje and we brought friends for the first and Canje did not disappoint. From the appetizers to the entrees and sides, all were delicious. Our favorite was the chicken although a bit pricey. Staff is wonderful and attentive.     Visiting in Austin this weekend made the stop here at this restaurant sooo enjoyable. We ate so much of the food. There are so many mt favorites, I can't even decide which one was my #1. All of it was delicious. One thing I can definitely say is all of the delicious had exactly blends of flavors. Including the sorbet!!!

    This was absolutely the best food I have ever ate!! The Ceviche was amazing and the Tres Leches cake is literally the best thing that has ever been in my mouth!! We also had the Grilled Pick shrimp Amazing, the Tilefish (great) & Jerk Chicken (Amazing), & sides were Roti (great), & Carolina Gold Rice Djondjon (outstanding). The drinks Sol Calypso was amazing as well.
