   when we arrived, the host couldn’t see my reservation even thou I have the email confirmation number. I booked our table weeks ahead and I even get a reminder text. It’s a good thing its not busy and we were seated right away but what if it’s full house, where would we seat? lack of communication I think.

   $12 lunch menu nowhere to be seen. A bit loud (very open space) but overall an ok lunch with neat views.

    Excellent food. Portion good value for money. Had to wait to be seated longer than should have when it was noon and we had a reservation. Asked for cocktail menu but no one came back to see if we wanted something until we had finished food and were ready for the bill! I would eat there again because the food was excellent and I can overlook not so good service.

    Food was ok nothing special. Our server was very nice. It was a ghost town though and too brightly lit for the evening we were sitting by the window and the light were turned up full blast.

    Good food and reasonable prices. Was expecting a different vibe, the restaurant was well lit and really bright, the ambiance would have been better if it was a bit more dim and the breakfast buffet area was somehow covered or out of sight. Our waiter didn't seem to care much about our table, when he asked if we were ready to order he waited only one second before running off and stating he was busy and then didn't check in on us throughout the meal. Waited at the table a long time after our meals were done to pay. The staff was friendly and very well dressed upon arrival. Overall it was a good experience just not quite what we were expecting, I would go back again for lunch but not a fancy dinner out. There was 10 in our group and we are in our late 20's for reference.

    Thé menu was ok except 3 of the most appealing items were missing. The atmosphere for evening is a bit like a cafeteria. It is too bad because there is a nice view but high lighting and the opposite of a nice cozy pub or dining room. My club sandwich tasted fine, the quinoa salad my husband had was very good. East coast hodge lodge was heavy and not traditional. Fish and chips were good. With so many places to eat in the city and even Quinpool road area, the lack of atmosphere in this location will keep me from returning. And, we live on the street and go out for dinner once a week. Having said that, the bar area looked more interesting and welcoming. Hopefully the new downtown restaurant will be more interesting! Thank you. Kelly

    We were belatedly celebrating an April birthday meal which had to be postponed due to a pending surgery so we we were in a great mood when arriving at the restaurant. Unfortunately we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our appetizers and then within five minutes of finishing them our main meal came out. As a result we were not able to finish our main meal and the celebratory feelings we had arrived with were pretty much dashed. Our server Duane was friendly and helpful but it would have been nice if he'd come to tell us during our 45 minute wait that some staff hadn't come in and that things were backed up in the kitchen. It was all a bit disheartening. As a separate comment, we had the breakfast buffet the next morning and were very disappointed. While plentiful, the food was cold and not of great quality. The omelettes had very little flavour and the sausage were quite greasy.

    Enjoyed our meals. Everyone was well satisfied. I have had your veggie burger in the past which was so dry and crumbly that I wrote to the food and beverage manager about my level of dissatisfaction. This time the veggie burger was one of the best I have tasted in Halifax. The only complaint, and a minor one, is that the bun was not up to the level of the fillings. Great meal all and all and I was able to get a fruit cup for dessert which was not on the menu. Great meal.

    Our meal was delicious. I had a side Caesar salad that was the best one I have ever had. The fish and chips had large servings and the fillet melted in my mouth. We had a window table with a nice view to outside. The server was charming and checked in just the right amount. We really enjoyed our meal.

    The View was beautiful as the sun was setting with a nice view looking over the Commons. Food was okay - service was spotty, no masks and a cool austere environment ie. not a lot of warmth: it was a birthday dinner but didnt really feel like it was special. Dessert was tasty.     Went here with some friends for dinner. The restaurant itself was very nice. It was quite empty when we arrived. They had some great choices on the food menu. There was no cocktail menu, so it wasn’t easy to order a drink that you might want. After we ordered the food it was quite slow to come to the table (especially considering the place was empty). Unfortunately the mussles I ordered we not good and had a very fishy taste. I did tell the server who said he would remove them from the bill, but didn’t. The staff were all very nice. I really did want to like it here, but unfortunately it was not great.

    The ambience is beautiful here we made a reservation and were disappointed there wasn't a brunch menu. I found the menu very small and it didn't offer much choice especially if you had food allergies and some of the items were quite pricy for what they were. The service wasn't that great either the restaurant was pretty empty. We had to ask for things multiple times and things were missing from my food. At first we were sure if she was the only waitress working and that was the reason why, later we found out there was someone else working when a waiter came over with our bill while we were still eating to inform us she had to leave. If the food were slightly better I'd probably rate it higher. It's such a shame because it is such a beautiful place. Hope they can turn things around.

    The location was perfect for an evening at the Scotia Bank Centre…easy to park and walk downtown. The calamari was excellent, the fish tacos were a hit with my friends, and the quinoa salad was delicious. The mushroom ravioli was good. Unfortunately, the bahn mi wrap was bland - almost all rice paper and noodles with hardly any filling- and the “artisan” pizza was more like a grocery store frozen pizza with chopped tomatoes on it. I would return for the calamari and the view.

    No way to check in with reservation Server seemed to ignore that we had a reservation My parents called ahead with a credit card to surprise us by paying for our meal, ad it was our 10th wedding anniversary. Their card was not charged, I was given and paid the bill. Long wait for order to be taken, food to be delivered to table, to receive bill, to pay bill once received. Food was lower quality than expected, especially given prices Unimpressive wine & beer list, over priced domestic beer. Cannot recommend this restaurant

    Lights were bright enough to seer my retinas. Why??? Took a long time for server to finally arrive. Understandably understaffed these days. Food was good, not great. Server tried his best. The place has potential. Try harder to make it NOT look like a hotel restaurant. Do something about those lights!
