Cano is consistently great - food and service.
We went for my daughters 12the birthday, I’ve been following them on Instagram and the dishes taste as good as they look.
Pasta was cooked to perfection. We were treated like valued guests.. not rushed. Check it out11
Incredible!! Gnudi was amazing, service was great. I will be back.
Food was fantastic as always had a great time with friends
Always amazing! Guaranteed good food and good time.
Food and service always outstanding at Cano.
One of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. It’s really a hidden gem in the via Italia area in midtown. Great food, service, and ambiance.
We go to TO visit our family a few times a year! We discovered CANO a year ago and have been back 3 times!! The food is delicious! We are never disappointed! This time we tried the gnudi con funghi and the seafood platter! They were both amazing! We started with my wife’s favourite-the burrata! The ambience and the warm and extremely attentive staff made it an A+ experience!
The staff made our anniversary exceptional - bringing us champagne, dessert and hooking us up with a great table when we’d only booked at the bar. The food was out of this world! We’ll be back many many times ...
Best of the best!!!
We keep going back every weekend - the food is that good! The gnudi are heavenly little bites!
We have been a few times - each time the food has been delicious. The service has always been impeccable (VERY HARD TO FIND IN TORONTO).
We will be back...
Sorry but your wine and food menu is entirely too expensive. Your wines and pasta cost you next to nothing compared to what you're charging.
This is my third time dining here and I will continue to go back. The staff are so friendly and the food is amazing. It's also very reasonably priced for what you get. They are also very accommodating of food allergies which is a huge plus in my book. It's a great spot to go with friends. I've been on the weekend and on a Tuesday night and it's always vibing!
Hands down the best new restaurant in Toronto. Booked it three more times already. Love you Cano!!!
Amazing as always. Been there before and will be back again.
Took my Mom there for Mother's day and she loved it! Will be back soon!
Cano is one of our favourite neighborhood restaurants. The food is some of the best Italian cuisine in the city. We absolutely love it here and can't wait to visit again!
Great restaurant! The food was delicious and the service was amazing
We went there for Mother's Day brunch. Excellent food, service. family friendly.
Love Cano. Such a great spot with amazing food and service
Another fantastic meal. Everything is always perfect! From the service to the food. One of our favourite restaurants.
Perfect cozy atmosphere for a mother's day outing. The food was delicious. We started off with arancini and fried calamari. We all ordered different mains - their gnudi (ricotta gnocchi) melted in your mouth. We will definitely be back.
Great food and service as well as stellar ambience
It was above our expectatios. Good food nice servers ... really noisy.
Good bless you
Literally the best meal we have had in Toronto in years. Amen and Daniel are true gems!!! Made 4 more reservations after tonite to dine here again and again. Kale salad, octopus and mushroom nudi are musts. Can’t wait to return!!
The food was truly excellent. My friend and I shared the Calamari Fritti. She said that it was the best calamari she has had in Toronto. The accompanying house aioli complemented the calamari very well. My friend had the Gnudi con Funghi and I had the Casarecce e Salsiccia. My friend loved the Gnudi. She said that it was one of the best that she has experienced. The Casarecce e Salsiccia was quite flavourful. I would definitely go back to Cano. Unfortunately, the service did not quite match the food. I requested a vodka and tonic and waited 15 minutes before it arrived. It also took him quite some time to stop by to take our food order. After that, things improved. But for me, the most important thing is the food and that was exquisite.
First time at Cano and we will definitely be back! We shared the kale salad, freshly baked focaccia, ricotta gnudi with truffle cream and the spaghetti with meatballs. Every single dish was fantastic. One of the best salads I’ve ever had and the gnudi were heavenly. Service was nice but they could have used another person on the floor.
Great Negroni drink. The Heirloom tomato salad did not taste like heirloom and was stale and soggy.
My seafood pasta tasted like they had warmed up the entire thing in the microwave then let it sit as it was only lukewarm. The muscles were dried out and fishy (after eating one I removed them all from the meal). The shrimp were rubbery and dry and the pasta soggy. The spaghetti carbonara was tasty but the serving was miniature at 200g cooked pasta. When the tall waiter came by to hurriedly ask "Hows everything", he walked off before we could answer. I noted that the table to our right the female did not eat her seafood pasta either!
Not impressed and will tell our friends who recommended the place. Not good value and sub-par food and rushed and harried staff.
Hi Sue, Thank you for letting us know about your experience. We are terribly sorry to hear that you had a subpar experience with us. We would love for you to join us again and make it up to you. Hope to see you soon. Best regards, The Cano Team
Cute neighbourhood place with good food and adorable ambiance
AMAZING - went for the first time in February and have become a regular since then!! Staff is friendly, food is OUTSTANDING - especially the gnudi!!!!
We were visiting Toronto and my brother took us to this neighbourhood gem! The food was fantastic! Service was impeccable!! Was a lovely warm atmosphere too!! Great team running this place! We shared an amazing seafood pizza as an appetizer and we all enjoyed our mains! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his pasta shrimp dish! My brother loved the snapper he ordered!!! We were recommended a lovely wine which we loved!! We finished up with a dessert medley which was awesome!
We would definitely go back on our next visit!!
Went to Cano fo a second visit as our last experience was very good. We were not disappointed! The service was on point and food was excellent. Very cosy quaint feel to this resto! Went with a couple of local friends and they loved it as well . Ladies went for the mushroom gnudies which they LOVED!! I had the lamb chops that were cooked to perfection and my friend had the spicy pasta. Definitely recommend and most likely will pay them a visit next time we are in town!!
It was the best fish he ever had, said my husband. He is very picky, especially about fish, so he was certainly surprised by the delicious daily fish special!
The rest of us had pasta, and that was so good too!
I would highly recommend Cano, but suggest you take the few minutes to make a reservation as the place fills up quickly.
Outstanding food & friendly service! LOVE the gaudi!!!
Food and service were great. Staff was friendly. The decor was cozy. The Gnudi were so yummy!
Wonderful service by the owner food was delicious a the cucumber-drink was outstanding.
Daniel and his staff are fantastic. They are in-tuned with their clients. Food was off the charts!
Great food and service. Period.
My wife and I love Cano. Daniel (owner) and his team always show us a great time. Food is always great! Thanks guys!
Exceptional food and outstanding service. Amen was friendly and responsive despite how busy the restaurant was. He made some great food recommendations and went out of his way to make sure our kids (7 & 10) were enjoying their meals amidst a crowd dominated by grown ups.
Every dish we had was made with perfectly balanced, vibrant but not overbearing flavours. Appetizers: beef carpaccio, Moroccan octopus (amazing and a meal on its own so I recommend sharing), rice balls (perfect moisture: crisp without being oily, moist without being soggy inside), gnudi (their specialty!), linguine pescatore (seafood) and perfect pizza. (I’m amazed at how many gourmet, wood fired pizza places consider charred pizza to be acceptable. We had trattoria/pizzeria owners visiting from Italy and they were stunned at what we consider acceptable here...this pizza would have amazed them.)
Desserts were excellent. Our kids were keeping it simple (gelato) and our waiter insisted on having us taste the Nutella Oreo cookie. So he convinced the kitchen to prepare on on the house! He knew how to convince us to order a top shelf specialty next time.
Finally, I have an appreciation for quality vs. quantity and was expecting this to be minimalistic, well presented food. I was surprised at the substantial portion size. I could enjoy a meal of many appetizers or repeat the full some experience we had.
About the only thing I would recommend is adding a gnudi appetizer to encourage tasting a few of these delights and still leaving room to get into the other substantial and delicious mains.
This place is amazing and it’s clear from the crowds that it’s no secret!
